Hiring More was probably the best choice we made in planning our wedding. I don't think we understood, at the time, what an important choice it was. Yes, everyone wants beautiful pictures, but what matters just as much is having a good vibe wit...h the photographer. With More, we got both. (Full disclosure: we haven't gotten all our pictures yet, but the ones we've seen are gorgeous. I'll update this review when we see the full set.)
At most weddings I've been in, being in photos has felt like a bit of a chore, and I've had the feeling that the photographer was a pleasant but intrusive professional, butting in on a private day. More was not like that AT ALL. Quite the opposite. From start to finish she was incredibly warm and enthusiastic. She made us feel beautiful and comfortable. She scrupulously respected our wish that she not get in between us and our guests during the ceremony, and that she not take any pictures during the musical performances. She was kind and patient with our friends and families, who were, frankly, not the most cooperative. She got us to laugh and gave us permission to be totally natural with each other. Even when she was asking us to do things that felt a little contrived ("giggle at your shoulder") she did it in a way that made me feel like it was all part of the fun.
To be fair, I don't hate getting my photo taken in general—but my husband does, and he agreed with me that having More take couple's shots of us was actually a highlight of the day. It was one of our few chances to be alone together, and even though More was there it felt like a chance for genuine, sweet, intimate, totally fun moments. She brilliantly suggested that we practice for our first dance out in the golden light by the river where we had our reception, which was a joyous experience. I can't wait to see the photos it yielded, which I'm sure will take me right back there.
Basically, I can't say enough good things about More, and I am so grateful that we found her!
