We recently utilized Ms. Norma for our wedding. I was instantly sold when I learned that she makes mini sweet potato pies. I was so excited that I booked her without even sampling the pies (a fact that I had a mini meltdown over). But, fortunat...ely, the meltdown was completely unnecessary. The mini pies were a hit! We ordered apple, pecan and sweet potato. Our guests said that the size was a perfect portion and that they were very easy to eat. Morika's Southern Delights Dessert Company is a small, privately owned company so definitely keep that in mind when placing your order. If you have a large order, try to book early in advance. Unfortunately, we attempted to add 20 pies to our order about 2 weeks before the wedding and she was unable to accommodate us at the time. Which is totally understandable. We loved that these desserts were different from your standard cake and it was wonderful to support a small, woman-owned business.
