About this vendor
We're Morina Photography, a small wedding studio in New York and Philadelphia. Nik, Dona and David have been photographing weddings since 2005, and somewhere around 500 of them later, we still love it.
Our style is photojournalism with an editorial touch. Mostly we stay out of the way and catch what really happens. When it's time for portraits, we keep it relaxed. No stiff posing, no fuss. We also shoot 35mm and medium format film for couples who want it.
We know how much goes into planning a wedding, so we try to make our part the easy one. Before the day, both of you fill out a short questionnaire so we actually know who we're photographing. On the day, we're the people your friends forget are working.
Collections start at $4,500. We're based in Brooklyn and travel anywhere.

Nik is a true professional! The wedding day gets very hectic and photography drives most of your timeline, but Nik and his team made everything run super smooth. He had the day dow...
n like clock work and followed me throughout the entire day. I provided him a Pinterest mood board before the big day and it really showed he studied the board to get the shots I wanted. The quality of work is also 10/10!!! Nik takes awesome and unique photos and has a great eye. I totally recommend the film add on because I find it so talented and amazing he got some film photos! Nik had like 5 different cameras, it was crazy! Also, the timeliness was impeccable. Nik's team delivered my full wedding album in less than 3 weeks. He also provided me two previews within the first week! Thank you so much Nik!!
Holy COW Nik really blew me away at every single point of the process and our photos are everything we hoped they’d be and more. Nik’s communication was top notch, answering the ma...
ny questions I would email him with, and eventually hop on a call with me to talk through flow or day of questions. Nik and his wife Dona did our engagement shoot as well and it was so easy to be with them and trust the process. Nik’s mind is so creative and I didn’t know where he was going with some things, but the end result was more gorgeous than anything I’ve seen. I had read so much about predetermining shots you want and I really threw that out the window because I knew that Nik was going to do a better job than anything I’d read about.
About 2 months before the wedding Nik and Dona sent us a questionnaire to fill out to help them get to know Joe and I both individually and a couple. We filled this out independently and it really got us in such a loving and appreciative mindset before the wedding and I can’t wait for Nik to share our responses in the future.
Day of Nik and David were on time, professional, kind, quick, and clear with everything. My father in law, who doesn’t like many people and has very HIGH expectations for everything, loved them so much he wanted to pay for them to stay extra hours for the after party. I know you all don’t know the man, but that’s the highest compliment I think he’s ever given anyone.
Nik got our sneak peaks back to us within 72 hours and our entire ~1100 photos back to us within 3 weeks. Nik has a phenomenal work ethic and couldn’t recommend him enough to anyone in search of a photographer who can be both a fly on the wall as well as direct you through shots.
Extraordinary is an understatement! This team has the most incredible artistic eye. They are so professional, thorough, friendly, and immediately make you feel comfortable. I typic...
ally feel awkward in front of a camera, but I felt so confident and I was posed so beautifully. They were so quick with their turnaround, too! We got a sneak peak of our photos the day after our wedding, and got our digital library very soon after. The images we got of our wedding genuinely brought us to tears. I absolutely recommend this couple to any people in need of a photographer - they were AMAZING!
We had the absolute pleasure of working with Morina Photography for our wedding at Hotel Monaco in Philadelphia on March 22, 2025, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. F...
rom the very beginning, Nik made the planning process seamless and personalized. He sent us a detailed survey weeks before the wedding to make sure he was aware of the events, special moments, and important guests we wanted captured. We also had a Zoom call with him to go over everything again, which really gave us peace of mind that we were all on the same page.
On the day of the wedding, Nik and his second photographer, David, arrived at the bridal suite right on time. They started capturing the getting-ready process, from candid moments with the bridal party to meaningful shots of Alyson getting into her dress. Most importantly, they didn’t forget about one of the VIPs of the day—our dog, Lily Rose! Nik was incredibly organized, professional, and helped keep us on schedule without making us feel rushed.
When it came time for the first look, David stayed with Jared while Nik was with Alyson, and they walked us through exactly what to expect. We took our portraits just across the street from the venue, which was not only convenient but resulted in some truly beautiful backdrops. Though we’ve only seen a preview so far, we can already tell the photos are going to be absolutely stunning.
During the ceremony and reception, Nik and David were like photography ninjas—present and capturing everything, yet never intrusive. We honestly barely noticed they were there, which let us be in the moment, but they were also great about pulling together family and friends for group photos throughout the evening.
We’re so excited to see the full gallery, but we already know Nik captured moments we’ll cherish for a lifetime. If you’re looking for a professional, detail-oriented, and incredibly talented wedding photographer, we can’t recommend Morina Photography enough.

Nik & Dona are insanely talented and so pleasant to work with. Everyone is OBSESSED with our photos - they are truly magnificent. As someone who is not comfortable in front of the ...
camera, they put me at ease and captured a perfect mix of candids and editorial moments. You will not regret selecting them as your photographers for your special day!
Nik, Dona, and Blaze were absolutely fantastic to work with! They captured beautiful moments from our wedding. They are wonderful at what they do! If you want breathtaking pictures...
that truly capture the essence of your love story - you NEED this team! They are very professional and great at communicating leading up to the big day. I cannot wait to receive our photos. They also post on their blog a few days after your wedding so you get a sneak peak of what’s to come!
I’ve always struggled with liking wedding photography, and honestly the vibe of weddings in general. They’ve always felt too stuffy, staged, and formal to me. When I was initially ...
looking for a wedding photographer, it was important to me to find someone who understood my perspective, while also comfortable capturing the typical family portraits etc.
From Day 1 of meeting, I knew Dona & Nik was the move. The pictures they captured are incredible—legit total magazine vibes. They are so creative and Jack and I had an absolute BLAST working with them. Running around taking photos was a core wedding highlight to me. I felt like I had my good friends along for the day, laughing with us and capturing the absolute best moments. Not only are they photographers, Dona & Nik literally sewed my broken dress back together twice, let me borrow lip gloss, sunglasses, helped me get out of fountain sopping wet… I could go on about how fab this duo is. If you are looking for a wedding photography, these are your people. I still get compliments anytime our wedding is brought up about how beautiful the photos are. Cheers to Dona & Nik!!!
Wow - where do we begin with reviewing Morina Photography? It’s hard to capture in a review but to put it simply, WE LOVED THEM and you should book them! Nik, Dona, and David are t...
he greatest photographers and are also wonderful people. We booked their most full package and are SO happy we did so we can have as many photos as we can from these talented photographers. We started with our engagement shoot with them which was so fun to get to know them and their style and also get comfortable posing in front of the camera. We loved all of those photos and used them for our wedding website and save the dates. We also are so glad we added the photobooth with printing! They do an amazing job of managing it and our guests had so much fun taking photos and bringing them home. Their full photography package is incredible value and I would recommend that to everyone!
If I had to describe their photography in a word, it would be “authentic.” They capture moments and emotions and our photos really tell the story of our wedding. When we look at the pictures, it’s exactly as we remember the day and we feel so lucky that our photographers were able to really capture those memories for a lifetime. They are kind and disarming and their presence put us at ease. They are silly and don’t take themselves too seriously which makes the sometimes awkward process of taking posed photos fun. They are artistic and capture such interesting shots. They are sneaky and able to get great photos without being intrusive or make the guests feel like they are being watched. Morina Photography was everything we hoped for from wedding photographers and so much more.
Wedding planning is unbelievably stressful and for us, picking the right photographer was probably one of the harder parts.
I wanted someone who was going to be able to capture th...
e moments that would fade from memory as time went on, and Nik and Dona were really the only people who (from the start) were receptive to that and understood what that meant. They obviously know how to take beautiful portraits and pretty candids, but what they have that is so unique is the ability to notice the things that would've otherwise slipped through the cracks- the hysterical laughing of our guests when my sister told a fantastic joke during her speech, my bridesmaids running around frantically in the morning getting everything set up, my grandpa kissing my grandma at the end of the anniversary dance (in celebration of their 53 years of marriage)...
I truly think our wedding day would not have been the same without them and it's clear how hard they worked and how much they cared about delivering for us. I'm only sharing a few photos because they are quite near and dear to my heart, but I will vouch for Morina Photography for the rest of my life <3
Side note: the photo booth was so much fun! Get that addition!

e. In all their pictures you could see the unfiltered joy and love on each subject's face. During the day of the wedding, we never felt burdened by the photos. Dona & Nik floated through the party almost without being noticed and captured every moment: big & small. They were quick to response and so easy to work with. They spent time getting to know us both as a couple and as individuals. We are so grateful for them for giving us physical memories of our family and friends that we will treasure forever.

redibly professional.
From our low-key, neighborhood-centric engagement shoot to our Center City reception, they were able to capture our vision while also helping us feel comfortable.
They were such genuine, down-to-earth people and we were so lucky to have them as part of our day!
I found Nik when looking for a photographer for our engagement in Philadelphia in February 2021. Him and Dona were very responsive and made us feel at ease when it came to the big...
moment. They did a phenomenal job and we knew we did not want anyone else capturing our special moments. We worked with them for our micro wedding in February 2022 and larger reception in November 2022. Aside from the incredible quality of the photos, they are extremely responsive and easy to work with. His vision is executed perfectly while taking into account our requests and comfort zones. We have been very lucky to work with Nik and Dona on three occasions now and would unquestionably recommend them to anyone. They are lovely people and will provide you with the best memories of your special occasion that you could ever dream of.

otos he captured are creative, unique, and artistically special. He made sure to capture all of the special moments, unique details, and excitement. He is super easy and friendly to communicate with and will answer any of your questions in a timely manner (take it from me, someone who asked him about 50 questions per week)!

edding pictures ran smoothly and I must say are jaw dropping. These photos are something Evan and I will treasure for the rest of our lives because they’re absolutely brilliant and beautiful. Morina Photograhphy was worth every penny, and through the process I can say Nik became a friend.

hing was truly seamless. They were calm, flexible, passionate, creative and funny. They worked quietly behind the scenes to make sure we got all the candid shots that we wanted and they were so patient during family & couple portraits. They were just a pleasure to spend the day in NYC with! Our final photos turned out amazing, we can't wait to frame them in our home.
I could go on and on about how amazing Nik is, it’s quite hard to sum it up briefly. But one of the most incredibly things about him is that he truly has a sixth sense for well com...
posed photos. We learned quickly just to trust him and the process, and that the final photos would be so far beyond what we were expecting. He is able to effortlessly capture every single moment worth remembering, with the emotions of the moment just pouring out from the frame. And he also isn’t afraid to roll up his sleeves and put himself in the thick of it! He was right there with us on the dance floor and captured some of the most vibrant dancing photos I have ever seen. We cannot recommend him enough, I wish I could give more than 5 stars because that’s what Nik is - a top tier photographer with a gift for creative composition that will wow you beyond belief.

res the emotions of the experience so well for us to relive it. And most importantly, his passion for his work translates into his super fun spirit - having us pause at an ice cream truck to capture a few moments or using some popcorn to turn our wedding photoshoot into a spontaneous moment of laughs. His team was also wonderful - Dona and David, who was so excited to direct us to capture some shots, which we loved. Professional, great communication, and such a kind and genuine person to work with. Would HIGHLY recommend and hope many future couples are able to work with him!!! Thank you Nik, Dona, and David!!
Nik and his entire team were amazing on our wedding day! They give you the best of both worlds: the beautiful/traditional portraits with your new parter and family, but also the a...
lmost journalistic approach he takes produces AWESOME candids. The best photos from our day are the ones Nik was able to capture without even knowing he was there taking the photos. The whole team became part of the party and Toni even put on some music and had a pre walk down the isle dance party with me.
Not only will you get the best photos, but nik and team give the best experience. Thanks guys!

He and his assistant Toni went above and beyond to get gorgeous photos. Nik is so creative and got some really unique shots. We are so thankful to be able to have such stunning pictures to look back on and cherish for the rest of our lives. You won’t be disappointed with the quality of work, the professionalism, and the ease of working with Nik and his team!

c and ended up having a small gathering in our backyard. Nik was more than accommodating to all the changes. Day of they captured all the small details while bringing a calming presence and was in no way intrusive to all the other happenings. The photos are breathtaking and captured the spirit of our laid-back day while also having a pristine "vogue" vibe. Throughout the day Nik pulled us a few times to do some fun shots that were totally his idea. You can definitely sense his creativity and want for some cool/different photos. Something we loved about the day! Look no further than Morina Photography for your special day!

wedding. I met Nik for the first time in person on the night of my rehearsal dinner and the second I met him, he felt like family. He understands the dynamics of the people he is photographing without meeting them and makes everyone at ease like he isn't even there. On my wedding day, I had more fun during my photo sessions with Nik than I probably did at my own wedding! He is a beautiful soul, a beyond-talented artist, fun, lovable, and I could go on and on. I also told him within one hour of meeting him that I was absolutely in love with him! On top of that, his team is incredible- extremely helpful, responsive, personable and just wonderful. Everyone involved with my wedding and photo sessions with Nik agrees that his team is very special. If this review does not help you pick Morina photography, then I do not know what will!
Morina Photography was the absolute best! I wasn't thrilled with my videographer that we had picked and thanks to Morina Photohraphy's pictures, you can see the whole day in image...
! His team made you feel so comfortable from start to finish. His artistic eye is like no other! He captured every emotion and all the love in the room. I would 1000000% recommend him for any of my friends getting married.

se at our first meeting - he was super prepared, easy to get along with, and honest and straightforward with his recommendations. We were a little nervous at our engagement shoot, but it was amazing - Nik kept us laughing the whole time. Nik truly goes above and beyond -- a few days before our wedding, he met us at the venue because I was overwhelmed with all the lighting options and didn't know what would photograph best. Nik and David not only helped us pick the perfect lighting for the whole night but also spent time exploring the venue to make sure they had the best spots to capture every moment. On our wedding day, Nik, David and Roosevelt were absolutely incredible, suggesting fun shots, keeping the energy up, and somehow capturing every tiny moment without being intrusive -- they even had a playlist while we were getting ready and in between shots! Their work speaks for itself -- beautiful, authentic, vibrant, and candid. Our friends and family couldn't stop talking about how much they loved Nik and his team. They've recently added videography to their portfolio and it is a MUST. So many wedding videos are really corny, not Roosevelt's -- the videos really capture the spirit of our wedding! RUN, don't walk, to Morina Photography -- the absolute best decision you can make. Thank you so much to Nik, David, and Roosevelt!!

d to do a photo shoot. He said Devils Pool in Wissahickon Valley Park and we said yes let’s do it! The photos turned out amazing. It was only our second time meeting Nik but we ventured out on a 10 minute hike right after the sunset using our phone flashlights to guide us. It was so worth it. He had such an amazing eye for what he wanted to capture and edited the photos so beautifully. Fast forward to our wedding day. From the moment he showed up at our hotel room to start shooting for the day he began picking up props and playing with fun angles. You can tell he really loves what he does. He was able to capture our love so perfectly and authentically without any force whatsoever. We were having a great day like we were the only two people in the world and Nik was there to document everything as it went along. We even got to relive our wedding day over and over again after some wawa photos went viral on social media. His skills are unmatched and not to mention he’s a hard worker who truly loves what he does. Do yourself a favor and hire Nik Morina. You will he so happy you did. Thank you so much Nik for everything and capturing our beautiful little moments of in between on the best day of our lives.

We can not say enough good things about their photography skills and artistic abilities. With Nik as your photographer, you will noticed that your photos will stand out above all the rest. Nik has such a unique photography eye and we HIGHLY appreciated that for our big day! Through Nik's photos, we are able to relive our special day over and over and over again. :) Thank you Nik and David!!

phy, and knew we wanted someone special. Nik and team blew it out of the water. They found amazing ways to capture us, and particularly the spaces and people that were a part of our wedding. What's more, we had a last-minute transportation issue, and they ended up driving us to two locations! We highly recommend Morina Photography, and are so excited to see the final product. If the initial blog is any indicator, we're going to be blown away by the final product for sure.

Every single moment of our day was captured, and we couldn’t be more thankful to be able to look back on them. Besides his amazing talent, Nik is such a warm, friendly person that everyone enjoyed getting to know. For the second time around, my family was thrilled with the results of our wedding photos. THANK YOU! There is no other option but Nik Morina Photography!!!

us so he could see it before hand. Nik made us feel comfortable and he felt like part of our family on our special day. We received a sneak peek blog in less than a week with dozens of pictures and received our official pictures in less than two months. His creativity and eye for the perfect shot make him a win-win! Everything you’d want in a wedding photographer - competitive prices, showed up early, brought two assistants, helped with my shoes and dress, expert boutonniere pinner, warm and friendly demeanor, AMAZING photographer and just an all around great guy. Would recommend Nik to anybody I know getting married.
Exactly who we were looking for. We received many compliments on our pictures - we had friends and family stunned viewing our photos. Overall, Nik’s work exceeded our expectation....
Starting off the process, we knew we wanted unforgettable pictures of our special day (days in this case). We met Nik and provided him our idea to have a small Vietnamese tea ceremony in my hometown and do a destination photoshoot in Rome. As crazy as the idea was, the timing worked out perfectly for us. We clicked so well that we locked him in the first day.
Nik was very accommodating and very prompt with communication. There was never a moment of awkwardness during our photoshoots with Nik and his team. He actually made it a really fun and casual day for us during our photoshoot in Rome.
We HIGHLY recommmed Nik. We would definitely find a reason to do this again (anniversary/family celebration) for the future!
Morina Photography was so great to work with from Day 1! We met Nik for coffee and were able to ask him all of our questions and quickly felt sure that he would a great job. Nik ...
was so thorough, organized, and professional. Of all that goes into wedding planning, the photography caused us the least amount of stress because we really trusted Nik. The day of Nik, his 2nd photographer Dave, and their team showed up early and were all set up by the time we got to the venue. They was able to capture all of the shots we wanted and much more in a timely manner including all of the family photos. Our guests commented on how hard the photography team worked. Our photos turned out better than we could have possibly expected and we have already recommended Morina Photography to many of our friends!

is with Nik Morina. He is a master of his craft and simply put, the best photographer we could've asked for. What really sold us was his creative photography abilities and his very warm personality. Having a lot of anxiety myself, I was afraid of being photo shy. I felt completely at ease the whole day and we ended up with really beautiful shots. If you look through his site, you'll see a lot of really creative and unique photos specific to each person's day. He's able to look at your venue through a very unique lens and come up with something just for you. He was very attentive and showed up to the venue early to scout out a place that would be dry in the event of rain. It really meant a lot to not have to worry about details like that knowing that you're working with a professional that cares. It was very important to us to find an amazing photographer to document this day so that we'll have memories that will last a lifetime. Our expectations were surpassed and I am recommending him to everyone that I know for future events!

e us comfortable, made us laugh and cry, and looked stylish as hell doing it. He showed up early to scout our venue, but not just that, he literally was a superhero. When we couldn't find music, he played it from his phone. When my mom couldn't button my dress, he took over. When my keds were untied halfway through the night, he tied the laces for me. Nik is funny, charming, and so so talented. His day-of team has also delightful, and very helpful. Nik's right-hand man David was great with my husband, capturing all the little details I couldn't be there to see, and making him feel extremely confident and comfortable. I can't wait to see the rest of the photos from the day!!! Loved them SO much. Thanks Nik!

lt like got to know each couple in the photos and their personality just by what Nik had captured. Nik was amazing from start to finish. He is so personable and gifted. He truly has a talent for visualizing scenery or capturing special moments. On our wedding day we were a little short with time for pictures but I was in awe of how he quickly and diligently thought out each shot and came up with amazing pictures for our wedding day. You can get any photographer to take a bunch of staged photos but If you hire Nik you will truly get works of art. He is clearly passionate about his work which shows through his pictures.

there he jumped right in and started shooting. He made sure to get every smile and every tear that my family and friends had. After the wedding, he was able to provide me a few photos to share. I was so excited and couldn’t wait to get the rest. Once I got the rest of my photos, I couldn’t believe it ! The photos and the quality of work that he provided was worth every penny!
I can't even begin to explain how good Nik is! We knew from our first meeting that we had to select him as our photographer.

andard wedding pictures we see all over Wedding websites.
I feel like most wedding pictures are the same just with different Brides and Grooms. We wanted non boring, fun and colorful pictures. From our snowy engagement photo session to our summer, bright wedding, Nik went above and beyond. I mean, seriously, you don't see a photographer in the middle of the session, roll his paints up, put on water shoes and go into the river looking for the perfect angle!
I loved our pictures so much, my only regret is not having enough time for more and more pictures (even though we had 859 of them)!
We more than recommend Nik, not only for wedding pictures but engagement, fashion work, magazines, etc. He is phenomenal!
Nik was referred to us by our videographer who said “Nik is absolutely the best”. We instantly looked him up online and fell in love with his work. The day of our wedding was very ...
hot, Nik asked us to wait in the bridal suite while he and his team quickly set up where we were going to take photos. Once they were ready, the photos were quickly taken from one location to the next and Nik and his team were on the same page and the photos turned out absolutely beautiful. Nik made sure my dress was laying correctly on every pose and everyone noticed his effort to ensure every detail was just right. Our last photo of the night was captured in the rain and everyone that witnessed that photo was amazed that he was able to capture such a moment. What we love most about Nik’s work is that he knows how to captures emotions, priceless moments and the color of the photos is absolutely stunning. Nik is absolutely the BEST!

hout the relationship. He and his associate were both exceedingly professional on the day of the wedding - scouting locations, handling large family portraits, and generally working so hard to get incredible shots. The photographs were all we hoped for and the experience in working with them was so much fun. Would highly recommend.
