Diana Griffin really helped us with every step of the process and we are so grateful for her attentiveness. We did have a hiccup with the alcohol vendor, which is specifically designated by the venue. We had a great reception there. All other preferred or designated vendors were awesome!
The most stunning place in the world to get married, especially if you always dreamed of getting married in Princeton--this is a hidden gem. We are so happy we chose Morven. Diana was a dream to work with. The grounds are stunning and there are great spaces to get ready. We loved the combination of outdoor tented dining with indoor dancing.
We loved having our wedding at the Morven! The garden is gorgeous, and the space was perfect for our ~150-person wedding. (We had our ceremony in the back garden, the cocktail hour on the grass in the back garden as well, and our reception on the front lawn - all well-manicured and perfect for both photos and actually enjoying the day).
But let's be honest - there are lots of venues out there that are beautiful. (Though perhaps few outdoor venues that are so transit-accessible and so close to a downtown area - both of which helped us have a late-night afterparty). What made our experience especially great was working with Diana - she was really responsive to our questions (and our parents' questions), worked really well with all of our vendors, and coordinated the day spectacularly. She's an absolute pro and I can't imagine our wedding having gone so smoothly without her.
If you are considering Morven, you won't be disappointed!
From the second we saw the venue, we absolutely loved it! It's beautiful, well kept, charming, and they work with you to create your vision. It's great for outdoor options, indoor options, and we couldn't have been any happier with the microwedding they held for us. Diana (their event coordinator) was amazing and we can't say enough great things about this spectacular Princeton spot. Also worth noting, it looks magical in photos!
Beautiful buildings and grounds and an intimate atmosphere make this museum the perfect venue for a small, covid-safe wedding. Diana, the event coordinator, was incredibly helpful from start to finish. She gave excellent recommendations for other vendors, including our caterer, and took care of many details behind the scenes to ensure a stress-free event. Highly recommend Morven Museum if you are looking for a unique and elegant venue!
Morven is a beautiful museum in a historical home once owned by Richard Stockton, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. They have a beautiful colonial garden that we chose as our ceremony site. With onsite parking (hard to find in Princeton) it was perfect for our needs. The staff (especially Diana, the events coordinator) was extremely helpful, professional and organized. The grounds are simply gorgeous and were perfect for all of our photographs. And your payment to the museum is tax deductible, as it is a non-profit. A great way to support a local Princeton establishment. :)
