I really wanted to love Mosaic, but unfortunately, they fell short on nearly every promise. They failed to deliver on the very commitments they advertise on their website. Lack of ...Transparency & Hidden Fees: During our initial tour, Maddie assured us that Mosaic was a flexible venue and that opening early for setup wouldn't be an issue if the space was available. However, once I was transferred to Phuong, 1 of the owners, communication deteriorated. After waiting about 13 full days for a response, another staff member told me they were "busy with other events." While I understand running a business is demanding, adequate staffing is crucial for basic customer service. When I requested 2 hours of early access, Phuong quoted an extra $500 ($250/hr). When I pointed out that the contract makes no mention of hrly fees for available early access, she offered a long explanation and sent an invoice. She added that I could bring cash or a check to avoid EFT payment fees. Given that the flexibility wasn't mentioned in the contract as a paid add-on, asking for cash felt shady. "Flexibility" here only exists if you pay extra for it, despite other family members having very different,fee-free experiences in the past.Unprofessional Beverage Management & Guest Treatment: While Dave (co-owner) was great, flexible, and communicative on the event day, working with Josh Moe (Beverage director) was a nightmare. He ruined the whole experience for everyone.
1. Privacy Violations: Guests getting ready in the bridal suite felt uncomfortable and monitored. After staff noticed drinks in the suite, Josh confronted them. Even after the drinks were put away and the door was closed, staff kept lurking around, ruining the getting-ready experience for the women inside.I spoke with Dave on the phone a few days later to address my experience; he even admitted that having drinks in the bridal & groom suites is common practice for all clients and not a big deal. Yet, Josh Moe turned it into a massive issue on the day of the event.
2. Zero Coordination: Despite the venue requiring event coordinators as main points of contact, no 1 from management introduced themselves to my 2 coordinators or kept them in the loop. No 1 informed or showed of the trash bins, and my guests had to take the trash out. 3. Early Bar Closure & Defensiveness: The bar service contract explicitly stated last call was at 10PM and the bar closed at 10:30PM. When I walked up around 10:15–10:20 PM, the bar was already closed. When questioned, Josh got defensive, offering conflicting stories—first claiming "4 people tried to hit me," then changing it to "someone tried to shove me." At no point did he reach out to my coordinators to report an issue, despite them walking past the bar continuously. I paid for the bar to remain open until 10:30 PM and received no communication or offer of a partial refund nor an apology. I am embarrassed by how my guests were treated. This awful person, Josh Moe ruined the whole experience for myself, my coordinators and my guests. Final thoughts, I understand venues have rules to enforce, but the way these situations were handled was horrendous. As the host,I felt completely undervalued, it saddens me to hear my guests and coordinators’ negative experiences.I have encouraged them to write their experiences/reviews to help others. I DO NOT recommend booking this venue; their promises of "flexibility" and customer care are deeply misleading and are nothing more than sales bait.
