Brett was amazing! I photograph weddings and he is the one DJ that stood out to me. He’s fun, he gets the party going and keeps it going. He’s great at communication and most impor...
tantly, and amazing DJ. He had my ENTIRE wedding on the dance floor. People who were in their 90’s. He mixed the music up, knew when to change the song, and was overall the best DJ I have ever came across. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to have the best night of their life!
We cannot say enough good things about our DJ!
From the very beginning, they were professional, organized, and so easy to work with. They took the time to understand exactly th...
e vibe we wanted for our wedding and absolutely delivered.
The energy all night was incredible. They read the room perfectly, kept the dance floor packed, and made seamless transitions that kept everything flowing without a single dull moment. So many of our guests commented on how amazing the music was and how much fun they had dancing.
They also did a fantastic job handling announcements and timing throughout the night, which helped everything run smoothly and kept the evening stress-free for us.
Most importantly, they created an atmosphere that felt so us! Fun, joyful, and unforgettable. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better DJ to bring our celebration to life. Highly recommend to anyone looking for someone who knows how to throw an incredible party!
If you’re a bride on a budget thinking, “Can’t I just use a Spotify playlist?” THINK AGAIN. I had no idea how vital a DJ would be, and Brett of Motor City HDJ absolutely knocked it...
out of the park.
The DJ is quite literally the emcee of your entire event. Brett was the one who transitioned guests smoothly from arrival to the ceremony, signaled my cue to walk down the aisle, and moved everyone from cocktail hour to their dinner tables. During planning, there were so many logistical details I hadn’t even considered, and Brett helped us with every single one.
He has incredible charisma, got the crowd cheering at all the right moments, and ensured the entire event ran seamlessly. These are the things you 100% need a great DJ for—it’s about so much more than just the music once the party kicks off (though Brett nailed that, too!). He played all our planned requests and somehow read the room perfectly to keep the dance floor packed until the very last song.
My wedding was in April 2026, and it was truly the best day of my life. I have never had such a blast or spent so much time on the dance floor. A huge thank you to Brett for making it possible. If you’re looking for a DJ for a wedding or any event, stop looking—this is your guy!

e time to get to know our family and friends, which made the experience feel even more special.
He also made us, as the bride and groom, feel calm and supported throughout the entire day, consistently checking in to ensure we were okay. He kept the energy high, had everyone on the dance floor, and created an atmosphere that people naturally gravitated toward.
If you’re looking for a DJ, we highly recommend hiring Bret.

rk with from the very first meeting we had with him. His planning tools made it so easy to organize and communicate our wants/needs for our day. He had everything handled from setup to timing and we didn’t have to worry about anything. The dance floor was busy from song 1 till the end of the night! He was checking in with my husband and I throughout the evening in case there were any last minute songs we wanted to hear or any requests we hadn’t heard yet. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about his energy and how amazing he was! The dance floor is one of my favorite parts of a wedding and I am so grateful we had Brett as our DJ to help make our dance floor so amazing for our day!

t he's also an absolute gem of a human being. We hired him for our wedding two weeks ago and couldn't be happier with our decision. Leading up to the big day, we had several video and phone calls with him. His experience and thoughtful advice were invaluable during our planning process.
On our wedding day, Brett truly blew us away with his kindness, professionalism, and calm presence. To say he went above and beyond would be an understatement. He managed the flow of the evening perfectly, kept us informed and grounded throughout, and even helped us navigate a few last-minute hiccups—like when my wife lost her voice right before she had to sing!
Our wedding was incredible, and Brett played a huge role in making it that way. We’re so grateful and can’t recommend him enough!

er. Then we get to see him again in October of next year for our friend’s wedding! We will never stop recommending him to our friends. He’s one of the few wedding vendors we came across that doesn’t charge an arm & a leg for no reason. He’s a genuine guy who goes above & beyond to make your day perfect! He truly gets to know his clients & makes sure the day goes smoothly from start to finish. His website is easy to use which made it so easy to add all the songs we did & didn’t want. He’s awesome at reading the crowd & knowing how to hype everyone up. I couldn’t recommend him enough!

ent us our music website && it was great. It has slots for everything, areas for certain dances, or requests for no music at all. Not only could we add or request songs ourselves, but so could our guests beforehand & at the wedding. We had some traditional Armenian dances. When they went on a little too long ..I just locked eyes with Brett && he knew it was time to go onto the next song. Out dance floor was packed from the first dance to the last! All night long & even to this day, people still tell us we had the best DJ && they are soo true!

n issue with our shuttle bus an hour before the ceremony Brett was reaching out to all of his contacts and trying to solve the issue for us. He checked in on my husband and I multiple times throughout the night to see if we needed anything. He was amazing at keeping the guests involved and on the dance floor! When my 84 year old grandma came onto the dance floor he was already playing her favorite song when I went up to request it. Cannot recommend him enough!

o idea who will actually be showing up on your wedding day. With Motor City HDJ, you are dealing with Brett directly. From his initial impressive presentation to the day before our wedding, Brett was always professional and quick to respond. His website was extremely helpful in planning what songs we wanted to play and when (he even lets you pick his tie color). On the day of our wedding, he arrived earlier than he said he would. Since our ceremony was at the same location as our reception, Brett was also able to provide the music and microphone for our ceremony. When the initial microphone wouldn't work with our officiant's wardrobe, Brett had a back up microphone that worked perfectly. During the reception, Brett handled announcements and had a website for our guests to make requests. On top of how much he cares about his clients, he also does charity work in the community. We couldn't be more pleased with Brett and Motor City HDJ!
We first met Brett about 4 years ago when he was hired as the DJ at our cousin's wedding. Marriage wasn't really on our radar at the time, but we said to ourselves, "when we get ma...
rried, we want this man to be the DJ at our wedding. He's awesome." So once we were engaged 3 years later, we hired Brett. If anything, he's just gotten better over time. Brett had never DJ'd at our venue before, so we were a little worried if that would cause any issues, especially since it was at an older greenhouse that was not very "outlet-friendly." Brett reassured us that he would have no issue setting up and that it would go off without a hitch. Sure enough, it was perfect. He was able to keep our wedding timeline moving according to our schedule, introduce the wedding party when it was time and was an electric personality during the reception and when everyone got to the dance floor. Many of our friends commented afterwards how awesome the DJ was and that not only did he pick great songs for dancing, but he was a great entertainer throughout the night. We would highly recommend Brett to anyone that is looking for a DJ with so much experience, energy, and organization.
Another fantastic party with the best DJ out there. Brett has become family to us as he's DJ'ed 4 events I've attended and/or planned. He is one of the most friendly people you'll ...
ever meet! He keeps everyone up and enjoying themselves. His portal is so incredibly helpful while planning a wedding. He gives top picks for all kinds of special dances and that was a HUGE help for some of the ones we got stuck on. He did the ceremony music for us as well and it was absolutely perfectly faded into the next song. I didn't have to worry about anything once I submitted the forms a few days before our wedding. He had it all set and ready to go for the big day. I loved not having to handle anything! Our guests continue to rave about him, some even made sure to get his contact information for upcoming events and I so hope they hire him since I know it will be a good time! Our venue has also raved about how easy he was to work with. If you need a DJ, Motor City HDJ is your absolute best option and you will NOT regret it.

Brett was so great to work with through our 2 years of planning. The online software we used to curate our playlist was so user friendly and really took the stress away from that aspect of our planning process. He was also always accessible with any questions or concerns we had and was willing to meet with us to discuss the final details of our wedding.
There are so many great things to say about Brett and his business. If we could do it over all over again we’d book Motor City HDJ every time.

We are still receiving compliments many months after being married on how much fun our event was. I attribute a large amount of the fun coming from Brett. He read the room perfectly and our dance floor was PACKED the entire night. So thankful for working with Brett! You are doing yourself a disservice if you don't work with him!

xplaining his process and going over the details with us. From start to finish the ceremony, entrances, etc. went so efficiently and he ran the whole show. He did a great job mixing my family's cultural music along with music that everyone likes as well. I have never seen a DJ so effectively gauge the feeling of the room to choose the perfect songs to keep everyone going. Brett checked in with me and sought me out to check that my husband and I were happy with everything which I appreciated. We even had an issue with our venue contract and he smoothed it over for us so we didn't have to deal with it during our night. I cannot recommend Brett enough to DJ your big night!

ht, I didn't need to worry about a thing, because he really just knows how to do his job well. Of course, we wanted to have a DJ that would play good music that we knew and to have everyone up dancing! The dance floor was basically packed the entire night...we received multiple compliments on our dj and the fact that so many people danced all night! We had the time of our lives dancing at our reception and Brett definitely gets credit for that. He was also very easy to work for and is very organized, which we appreciated. 10/10 would recommend.

é (now husband) up and dancing! That’s a feat in itself, so I knew I had to switch DJs. So worth it! Our reception was so much fun because of him! Aside from being affordable and honest (which we loved), the online planning website was super easy to use. The up-lights really made the room look awesome too! He played all our requests, and so many of our guests had fun! I have candid pictures from the night to prove it of them laughing and dancing! My husband and I had our own little way of walking/dancing into the reception to. Brett played the same song to end the night which was prefect!! We didn’t have to ask him to, he just got the vibes! Would definitely use him again, and recommend him to anyone!
