rained all day on our wedding day, but both Kymberly and John did their best to keep us out of the rain. They had umbrellas ready to go and helped with my dress, veil and bouquet. They spent the entire time getting soaked in the rain to make sure I was dry. Kymberly is so easy to work with. From the first inquiry email to the wedding day she was there to answer questions and accommodate us. When it was calling for rain the day before the wedding Kymberly got ahold of me as well as our photographer so we could discuss the rain day game plan. The fact that a plan was in place we so helpful in calming my nerves. Of course no one wants rain on their wedding day but to have vendors that are so flexible and willing to change the original plan was so helpful to us. John also stated he was willing to put the top down if we wanted to, even though it was sprinkling. (We had too much respect for “Dean” to do that, but it was a nice offer.) We were slightly ahead of schedule with pictures so Kymberly suggested we go over to the train station for a few more photos. Kymberly and John really want you to be able to maximize your time with their beautiful cars. You can really tell they love being a part of your special day. MCVR is truly the best around! Having MCVR as part of our wedding day was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!

cellent condition and came with a professional driver, John, who is a co-owner of the business with his daughter Kymberly, was courteous and punctual. John took us around town from the church, to various photo spots, and finally to the reception. Kymberly was also there with John the entire day to help. She was so friendly and helpful, and she drove separately so that she didn’t have to ride in the car with John (and show up in the bride and groom’s wedding photos with the car). The car we chose to rent for our Downtown Detroit wedding was “Dean” - a 1940 black Ford Deluxe - and was the perfect addition to our wedding in the motor city. Working with Motor City Vintage Rentals was such a fun, special, and memorable experience and was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. I highly recommend Motor City Vintage Rentals to anyone looking for a reliable and high-quality vintage car rental service for their special day.

Working with Kimberly and her father was one of the best decisions my husband and I could have made. She made our wedding vision and dreams come true. When we met with her, it was clear that we had to work with her if we wanted the best job done on one of the most important days of our lives. There was a ton of back-and-forth conversation (because of how big our wedding was), but it wasn't an issue for her, which we genuinely appreciate. And the check-ins via phone were more than appreciated. We always made our conversations clear and satisfied because she made it a point to ask more than once if we had any questions/issues. The way she caters to the customer's needs shows in real life. My favorite thing about working with Kimberly was that she felt like our fairy godmother. There was rain and a bunch of other chaos. (as this is normal) on our wedding day, she made us feel like any actual problem was not even there. She and her father treated us like royalty, just like the car we rented. (The Convertible Dean) We felt like we were the only two people in the universe and that this was solely about us two. (Which is hard to do when the guest list is almost 400!) But they did it! She and her father were by our side from when they arrived to when they left. To say Kimberly and her father were our favorite vendors to work with is an absolute understatement. The way they catered to us and every need was a feeling every bride and groom should feel on their wedding day. My husband and I have agreed over and over that taking photos with the Dean, Kimberly & her father was one of our top three favorite moments throughout the day! Kimberly and her father made all the nerves go away. All the uncomfortableness and not knowing what to do next or how to pose did not even arise. As people who have never been married, there are many unknowns during this day, but having them in your corner makes you feel like king and queen and that you are doing everything better than perfect. We are so thankful for how they helped us on our special day and interacted with us at our 30+ person wedding party. They never made a mistake, looked stressed out or looked confused. They took action and helped any of us at any time. Not only were they an incredible team together, but they also offered suggestions to our photographer (who they also knew and had a great relationship with) to capture the beauty even in the rain. And they sure made us look beautiful, even in the cold, rainy weather.

You can tell Kym loves what she does and feels genuinely excited to be a part of people's stories which meant so much to Hamilton and me. Kym was helpful in coordinating the details, offering to recommend vendors when I was early in the planning process, and helped keep the surprise a secret until the big day! (The groom loved it, his phone background is even a picture with Beau!) Kym also called me a week before the wedding to ask how I was feeling and to make sure I didn't need anything. When people ask me what my favorite part of our wedding day was, it was the 10 minutes or so that Kym and John left Hamilton and I alone sitting in the back of Beau to soak in those brief moments with just the two of us. You spend so much of your day surrounded by other loved ones and friends, keeping to a busy schedule, that you forget there might not be a lot of time for the two of you to enjoy each other and the excitement of getting married. We'll both cherish that moment forever! They also provided handheld fans, water, and snacks which was so thoughtful and went a long way because I think that was the only thing I ate for most of the day. Kym was super helpful with doing things well outside the expected-- she held my bouquet and dress, assisted our photographers, and helped coordinate our large wedding party (who absolutely loved her as well). o with their stunning silver 1941 Detroit Packard “Hamilton” vehicle, because I was going for a classic glamorous vibe. The car was absolutely perfect for what I wanted. I was able to take pictures with my husband inside the car and had the car on display in the background of our photos. Each photo I’ve seen thus far are breathtaking. Also, we were able to park the car outside of our reception entrance. This was the perfect “wow” moment for my guests as they entered the reception and it was the first thing they saw upon arrival. It not only set the tone On for a beautiful night, but set the tone for all of my photos. Additionally, guests had the opportunity to take pictures with the stunning car, which I absolutely loved. So many of our guests greeted us the day of our wedding and the first thing they raved about was how stunning and memorable the car was. Lastly, Kymberly and her dad were the sweetest and most professional people to work with. Kymberly explained everything in detail over the phone and was extremely accommodating. On the day of our wedding they provided water and snacks for us, which were greatly appreciated. Motor City Vintage is the perfect addition to every wedding if you are looking for something to wow your guests and take your wedding to the ultimate level.

re friendly and truly have the kindest hearts. Our wedding was at the DIA on a rainy and humid day. Kym had the best snacks, straws for drinking water, fans, umbrellas and many more things ready to go for the whole day. Kym and her dad stayed with us longer than their obligations and she calmed me down right before the ceremony. Kym even straightened out my dress right before I walked down the isle. In a day of such new experiences and filled with so many emotions, Kym will be your calming force and a sturdy rock for you. We will definitely hire them again and you will never regret hiring them. There are many car rental companies you can go with, but this duo is the best and our friends and family definitely agreed.

Taking photos together in and next to the car felt so romantic, calming, and timeless, and we are so glad we had that special experience before the rest of the day became a whirlwind. Kymberly also helped hold my dress train and flowers and helped me get to the bridal suite following the session. Kymberly was always on her toes and ready to help with anything and everything, even if it wasn’t related to their vintage car. If only she worked as a wedding day coordinator too – I would’ve hired her for that in a heartbeat! Kymberly & her dad were also flexible and accommodating, giving us the ability to add on more time if we needed it for guests to take photos with Dean. Our guests loved taking photos with Dean before and after the ceremony, so we extended our time slot so more guests could take photos before dinner. Our guests raved about both the car and Kymberly and her dad (who even took photos for our guests!) and we are so happy with our decision to book Dean for our wedding. Our photos with Dean turned out incredible and are some of our favorite photos from our wedding, and we are so grateful for the memories we have of taking photos with the car – it felt like we were on a romantic date together (which was great to experience during the chaos of a wedding day!). Kym and her dad are quite possible the nicest people we have ever met. Kym was extremely responsive to emails and was also nice enough to provide any recommendations on other vendors. My husband and I still talk about how great they were. I wish we could relive our entire wedding day over again, just to be in their presence again. Our wedding day ended up being a very hot day and they had handheld fans for us to use, an umbrella to give us some shade between photos, cold water and snacks. Kymberly and her dad do not just show up with the car and drive you around, they are truly a concierge service! Her dad would hold my bouquet and Kymberly would help straighten out my dress and veil for photos. They were so amazing to work with and we loved having them as part of our day. Kym and her dad brought her amazing convertible dean to do our wedding photos at Fairlane Estate in Dearborn!!! (The first session was for engagement photos in downtown Detroit) Everything was amazing and they were incredibly generous with their time! Kym was extremely helpful while taking photos; she helped hold and arrange my dress! She helped with photo ideas and even took her own incredible “behind the scenes” videos on her phone that were awesome!!!! Above all, they are so so kind and giving! I would 100% recommend this family to anyone looking to rent an incredible car for photos.

he day of our wedding. Kymberly was extremely responsive, reviewed the cars they had for selection and walked us through the contract terms very clearly. I never once felt like there weren't any hidden costs or something I didn't trust in the process. On the day of our wedding, the driver and the car arrived at the venue on schedule and our driver also encouraged and helped us get some unique "action shot" pictures in the middle of downtown Detroit that we didn't even originally plan for. We used the car for the Baraat portion of our Indian wedding Motor City also worked collaboratively with our band who DJ'd and MC'd the Baraat. They allowed us to put a PA system in the backseat while I sat there. I have only great things to say about our experience working with Motor City Vintage Rentals and would highly recommend them to anyone considering renting a vintage car for their wedding day, especially for a Baraat if it's an Indian wedding.

ouch for your big day, don’t hesitate. We rented Hamilton and Darin was there to drive for us. After our wedding ceremony, Darin was waiting outside of our venue for us. The MCVR team communicated with our photographer ahead of our wedding day to make a plan for pictures- their combined expertise got us some amazing shots. When we got into the car, Darin offered us cold water, snacks, and even portable fans on the 95 degree day! Throughout our time, Darin checked on us regularly to offer additional food and drinks. He even held umbrellas for us and our bridal party to keep us out of the hot sun! I cannot say enough about the service and kindness the MCVR team offered. Y’all- this company is a true Detroit gem! ly, vintage transportation was not initially on my radar when I was working on wedding vendors, but my (now) husband ended up being so right that it was necessary for a Dearborn, MI wedding and it elevated our photos, our overall experience and our memories of the day. Kymberly is a joy to work with, and I was so thankful for her expertise setting up great photo opportunities with Hamilton, the car we used. She also was extremely skilled in maneuvering my massive wedding dress and veil both in and around the car. Her dad John was wonderful as well; he actually drove the car and the first moments of peace that Mike and I got together that day were in the car together, after the ceremony on our way to the reception. No one tells you this! But you get very little time together and it was special to share that time in Hamilton and with John. Altogether, if you are at all on the fence about using a vintage car for your wedding, DO IT. It makes all the difference in your memories of the day! And use Motor City Vintage Rentals; they are lovely, professional people and I would choose them again in a heartbeat.

getting a gorgeous vintage car, but you are getting THAT and so much MORE. My wedding was just a couple weeks ago and my best and most vivid memory from the day was sitting in the back seat of Beau driving around the city with my new husband taking in the quiet moment and scenery together. It was a very special and surreal moment. We felt like we were transported to 1940 taking a ride in our NEW Packard. Kymberly helped with so much during our photos, from carrying my train, to helping my photographer place my bridal party for photos, and even making sure we had snacks if we needed them.
