For the most part the venue was good. Nancy was helpul leading up to our wedding date. She let me know measurements of the arbor, the wine barrels and what we could and could not b...
ring. We were however disappointed with the way things were handled the day of. Our wedding was at 1pm, Nancy was there in the morning to let us in and left at 11 as she had a wedding to attend. We had ordered turkey, ham and veggie wraps to be delivered at 9am for us to eat. we got the ham and turkey wraps but not veggie. One if my bridesmaids is vegetarian. I told Nancy about and she was very polite about it and said she would get it fixed. I let her know that we only needed one so they didn't have to make a bunch. Which is totally fine, but the backup coordinator also ran the restaurant that is at the winery. So I only saw her twice; once when she came over to ask when I wanted to start things, and second when it was a couple minutes to when the ceremony was going to start to make sure everything went ok. After that she went back to the restaurant. There was a band playing that day, which they were scheduled to start at 2pm....the band was testing their drum set right before the ceremony was about to start and my DJ had to walk over and ask them to stop. During our ceremony and after while we took pictures I could see winery guests walking in and out of the room we had our stuff in. When we were ready to have our pictures taken in the cellar my bridesmaids had to search for someone to unlock the door and let us in, and the person who let us in told us there were no lights down there and we had to use the natural lighting that was coming in from the big doors they opened. My photographer knew there were light down there but wasn't sure how to turn them on. We found the switches after picture were done. I understand that Nancy had a wedding to go too and the other coordinator also ran the restaurant, but I think there should be a coordinator (maybe even one who is on call) that can give their full attention to the wedding party and make sure everything runs smoothly from beginning to end. I just feel like we didn't get the attention we we're hoping for. But, the venue is beautiful and the help I did get from Nancy was good.

was also an indoor area available to us it needed due to weather. It was immediately followed by a cocktail party, which led directly into dinner. Dinner was delicious and many of our guests complimented how great the food was. Guests could choose from beef medallions, chicken pesto, or a vegetarian option. We cut the cake after dinner was over and the staff took it back to the kitchen to plate it, which was then served to guest in a timely manner. From there, everyone made their way to the deck off of the banquet hall to dance. We made the decision to have our DJ and dance floor outside a few weeks prior to the wedding rather than inside the banquet hall and we could not be more happy with this decision! There was plenty of room for all of our guests (about 135) to be outside and the ambience was perfect.
Davina, the wedding coordinator, was more than helpful with everything. From the day we toured the venue to the day of our wedding, she answered all questions we had and listened to everything that we wanted done. On our wedding day, she was willing to do whatever we needed done.. like running to a gas station for one of the groomsmen and making sure the florist was setting everything up the way we had planned. Throughout the entire day, she remained calm and supportive, which helped me stay calm while I got ready in the bridal suite. She truly went above and beyond to make our day special.
The rest of the staff was also amazing. The dinner and the cake were served quickly. The bartenders were kept very busy all night, but there was never a line to get a drink. All staff members accommodated the needs of the guests. They worked hard all night long for us!
We would highly recommend Mount Pleasant and Davina to anyone who is getting married. We could not have asked for a more perfect venue or overall experience!

ly the best day of our lives and we have her to thank for that. One major concern of ours was getting married in the evening after the winery closed for fear that we would not have enough daylight left this time of year after the ceremony to get pictures. We did not want to do a first look either so Davina and Chuck allowed us to have the ceremony during the day and they would have the band that was playing that day take a break for our ceremony. This was HUGE to us and worked exactly as we had hoped. Everything else top to bottom was perfect. Davina is an extremely hard worker, very detail oriented, responds quickly, remembers all of the small things, is very patient and literally did whatever it took to make our day the best it could be. We can not thank her and her staff enough. The backdrop during the ceremony is absolutely beautiful, the food was excellent, drinks were great and all of our guests had a great time. just before sunset, Mount Pleasant transforms into something much more surreal. Standing there, looking out over the valley during our ceremony, it looked like an impressionistic painting. Our guests have been commenting ever since how it was one of the most beautiful and enjoyable ceremonies any had ever been to.
...and that was jus the location. The staff is amazing, and our site coordinator Davina was stellar. In the weeks and months leading up to the wedding, i had several questions not just about what Mount Pleasant would be providing, but also about how practical things worked... like our charter bus arrivals, how guests now to go from point A to point B, where I would walk from, get ready, and on, and on, and on. Davina was just spot on, responded fast, and continually did everything she could to make our day wonderful. Her customer service skills are some of the best I have ever experienced.
The night of, the food was professionally prepared, excellent (like, REALLY nice restaurant excellent), and plentiful. WAY more than enough for all of our guests and everyone commented on how good it was. PLUS, the bar was staffed and augmented as necessary to keep the line moving... nobody had to wait very long for a drink and the bartenders were obviously total pros... excellent drinks/pours and we got a lot of feedback at how personable they were.
When it came time for my meal, one of the staff came up and carried my plate back to the table. In fact, multiple times through the night a member of the staff just seemed to appear when I needed something and got it taken care of right away.
At the end of the night, they boxed up our leftover cake for me and helped us out to our car.
There was one very small gesture though that I really think underscores how good their customer service is. I had printed up little name cards for everyone with their table number on them. I also printed up one each for my husband and I, and placed them at our sweetheart table (completely unnecessary for me to do so, but it made me laugh that I thought it was!). There was nothing special about them, just standard name cards printed on a laser printer.
At the very end of the night, (we stayed until most guests had gone), the staff was clearing tables and one of the guys walked up to me on our way out with our two name cards and to see if I wanted to keep them. I know it seems like a minor thing... but the fact that he saw them, thought about it, and then made the extra effort to approach us for such a minor thing just shows how much Mount Pleasant must ensure that everyone that works there understands the importance of good customer service.
Booking our wedding and reception at Mount Pleasant was one of the best decisions we made. Our wedding was absolutely unique and unforgettable not just because it is a beautiful location, but because of the wonderful people that work there.

She met with us personally after taking on the position and followed up within an hour with answers to our questions. Throughout the process, she checked in with me to answer my questions and was very accommodating. Our wedding day was HOT and Davina was very helpful with getting us water for guests, letting us move inside for pictures and appetizers, and moving our guests outside when it was time for the ceremony. She made our experience at Mount Pleasant wonderful and we are already looking forward to coming back for other events at the winery!

We had a small wedding of 18 guests and I felt just as important as if I had rented the entire winery. Whitney was easy to work with via email and in person and each time we interacted I grew more and more exited for our wedding.
Whenever we did visit, Jack in the tasting room was always awesome! He remembered us and helped us decide on what wines to have at our reception. On our wedding day he was working and made sure to say good bye before he left! My family really enjoyed talking to him.
On our wedding day I was so impressed by how everything turned out! Our cocktail hour was in the wine cellar which was candle lit and very romantic. Afterward, we had our dinner on the deck of a smaller building and it was so beautiful. Not only that, but it all seemed so effortless.
The food was fantastic which added to our positive experience.

She replaced the old event coordinator about a month before our wedding, so we were definitely a little nervous about the change - but Whitney ensured that everything was taken care of for our wedding and has a great attention to detail. She stayed on top of all the changes we made to our wedding package, and ensured everything was completed in a timely manner. We also had our rehearsal luncheon at Mount Pleasant the Sunday before our wedding, and she ensured that this ran seamlessly as well. Whitney was super attentive during our rehearsal lunch and wedding, and responded to emails quickly with all our questions leading up to the wedding. She was always one step ahead, making sure everything was taken care of. She even helped us set up the reception and ceremony site at our wedding, coordinating with our vendors the day of, and passed out appetizers to our wedding party after the ceremony! She made sure to save our cake for us the day after, and helped us pack our rental equipment up. We would highly recommend Mount Pleasant Estates for a beautiful wedding, and especially Whitney as the event coordinator. owever, Whitney was an angel. She took over seamlessly with grace. She was so helpful and flexible it made my day even easier than I could have imagined. The day before, she was there helping with anything we needed. The day of, she was texting me with weather updates since it was supposed to rain, but thankfully it did not and ended up being perfect! She dealt with all of my vendors behind the scenes and I didn't even hear about any of it. The chef was also fabulous.
