If you are looking at wedding venues around the Harford County area, Mountain Branch is absolutely incredible! We toured this venue on a whim and instantly fell in love. Words cann...
ot express how much we loved every second of our experience with Mountain Branch; we felt like and continue to feel like family.
Christine, the wedding extraordinaire at Mountain Branch, ensured everything was absolutely perfect. From our first meeting with Christine, I felt completely supported and at ease about wedding planning. Her professionalism, responsiveness, care, and kindness at our first meeting was a huge factor in choosing this venue, I could not imagine our wedding day without her. Throughout the entire year of planning, Christine was so supportive and helped answer any questions we had along the way. On the day of our wedding, Christine was on top of everything, the only thing I needed to worry about was enjoying the day. She is truly the best in class.
Not only is the venue stunning (seriously go visit), but each and every staff member we interacted with treated us with top notch service every time we visited. This venue has everything! The food is incredible; I am still getting compliments from guests on our food several months after the wedding. There are so many things included in the wedding package; the value is unmatched by other venues. For a less stressful wedding planning, this venue included catering, bar services, table linens, lighting, staffing, set-up, teardown, day of staffing management, a ceremony arch, and the cake provided by a fantastic local bakery. You truly get so much all in one place, and I loved the ease of planning with Mountain Branch.
Our wedding exceeded our dreams at Mountain Branch, we could not have been happier. I do not think I can truly express how much I recommend this venue, it was the most fantastic experience! My husband and I look forward to revisiting Mountain Branch’s restaurant, bar, and other events often, they made us feel like family.
Had my daughter's wedding here in August 2022. The setting is pretty and the food is good. However the tent's A/C is NOT functional as they claim. We had 2 guests experience heat e...
xhaustion in the first hour. Restroom for guests is porta potty trailer type. Would not recommend for summer weddings.
My husband and I had the best experience booking with Mountain Branch Golf Club. We worked closely with Christine from our food tasting to last minute walk-throughs, to even having...
her there the entirety of the wedding day - she was everything I could have asked for in an event coordinator.
Our wedding was May 21st, 2022 - the hottest day of the year, but the entire staff did everything and then some to make sure we were all comfortable and having the best time. All of the staff was friendly and professional, and I truly felt like they were all constantly checking to make sure we were happy and always had a drink in our hand. Our guests still continue to rave about how delicious the food was as well!
The flexibility and accommodations both Christine and Carol made for us was outstanding. I would having my wedding there all over again if I could.
We had our wedding at Mountain Branch 11/6/21. Our experience was excellent. Their planners Carol and Christine are so knowledgeable and make the process so easy. I can't speak eno...
ugh to how patient, understanding and flexible Carol and Christine were during our whole wedding planning process. It took so much stress off. As for Mountain Branch, the venue is beautiful, food was great, and it is affordable. An added bonus for us was that venue, alcohol, cake and food were all included, so not having to find and hire separate vendors for each of those things.
Our experience at Mountain Branch was excellent, I would highly recommend as a wedding venue.
My mom hosted my bridal shower here last weekend and we were extremely disappointed in Mountain Branch. Not worth it for the price by any means. The only positive was that they wer...
e very flexible with changing the date (we had to postpone a year because of COVID). But the execution of the event was as if they have never hosted an event before .
Our contract included mimosas to be there for when guests arrived. 30 minutes after the event started we asked where the mimosas were and they told us that we had to pay for them. We told them we did pay for them and they told us we had to speak to a manager (who they never went to get). So my mom had to go over and pull up the contract on her phone.
They also didn't have water. Who doesn't have water? They told us we could have Sprite or tonic water instead until we argued with them that they need to go get a big pitcher of water.
We had about 50 guests there and they brought out about 10 tea sandwiches per platter. So needless to say, they were gone almost as soon as they came out and no one was there to refill the sandwich platter. So the buffet was sparse and empty until I talked to two servers and the manager telling them they needed to constantly refill the buffet. Presentation was disappointing.
They also went around and took everyone's knives mid meal because they had run out of knives (I think there was also a wedding and another event that day). Clearly they were not prepared to host our event and it was embarrassing.
When I called the event manager a few days later to discuss, all she had was excuses. She sent my Mom a gift card to make the situation right instead of comping a percentage of the bill. Why would we want to go back there?
I would definitely reconsider if you are planning to have an event at Mountain Branch. Not worth it at all in my opinion.
We had both our ceremony and reception at Mountain Branch on 10/3/2020 and our day was absolutely perfect. We chose Mountain Branch, because of how easy they make the planning proc...
ess and for the beautiful ceremony and reception area. We worked with Carol, who was amazing! She was so helpful and made sure everything was perfect for us every step of the way. We got so many compliments on everything! The view, the food, the setting. We have zero complaints.
I can't thank Mountain Branch and the entire staff enough for hosting us and helping us pull of an absolutely perfect wedding day.
First, the GM, Caroll - a MILLION THANK YOU's fo...
r being so responsive and accommodating during very challenging times. You kept us at ease and made sure everything went as planned. We never felt like we were in the dark or uneasy about the wedding and we could not be happier with the end result.
Secondly - Nick. My wife and I were so impressed by him at our wedding. He always made sure we had what we needed (drink in my hand) and made a huge difference in our event. Give that man a raise! We were being pulled a thousand different directions throughout the event, but we just could not help but notice his work ethic. The next day he also made sure we got everything we left behind (which was literally everything).
As far as the venue is concerned, it is perfectly positioned on higher ground, looking over a beautiful golf course and the surrounding county. It's a perfect mix of outdoor and indoor space, which allowed for a enjoyable event for ourselves and our guests.
Jaime and I are so happy we chose Mountain Branch and look forward to coming back for many years. Caroll also hooked me up with some golf passes - I will be back soon!
Mountain Branch made our dreams of a prefect wedding come true. Between Carol making sure every thing was done timely and efficiently, to the staff making sure the decorations were...
exactly how we pictured them. It was prefect. Communication was on point. If I sent a question on a Saturday or Sunday night I would get an immediate respond, which made me feel much better when it came closer to the date. The staff was very professional and treated everyone with respect. When Mountain Branch says they want you to enjoy your big day, I can honestly say they mean it.
Mountain Branch was the best reception venue we could have picked. From the first time we met with Carol we knew Mountain Branch had to host our reception. Carol was beyond helpful...
throughout the whole process, if anything went wrong on our wedding night we never knew about it. All of our guests were so impressed with the food. We had 150 guests and everyone's meals came out hot and delicious. They also accommodated our guests with dietary restrictions, from gluten free to vegan to kid's vegetarian. The price was unbeatable for all that Mountain Branch provided!
MB is the most beautiful venue I have ever been to and I'm so glad my husband and I decided to have our wedding here. LeeAnn was our day of coordinator, with help from Ashley! Our ...
event was certainly not LeeAnn's first; she knew where people needed to be and at what time and with what timeline works best to have a smooth event. She continuously and without hesitation answered all of my random and crazy questions over email.
I was a little worried about how the reception details and decorations were going to be set up, because I'm super picky and a perfectionist, but LeeAnn and her staff set everything up PERFECTLY to my written directions (which were super detailed and probably annoying, lol).
Our guests had nothing but great things to say about everything, the venue itself, the open bar, THE FOOD. I thank Mountain Branch from the bottom of my heart for making my day literally perfect.
I could not be happier with our choice to hold our wedding at Mountain Branch Golf Club. The view speaks for itself. There is no better backdrop than the beautiful expanse of trees...
, which is overlooked from the clubhouse and during the outdoor ceremony. Our guests mentioned many times how beautiful and special the scenery was and how gorgeous it made the ceremony.
Another thing our guests raved about was the food. There was even an event caterer/manager present who said it was the best wedding food he'd ever had! We have to agree. It was also really nice that they served us, the bride and groom, first so that we could walk around after we ate to greet everyone while they were seated.
Carol McCarthy is a joy to work with. She is detail-oriented and knows the venue and planning weddings like the back of her hand. She is also excited to be working with you (even though she works with hundreds of brides and grooms) and sincerely wants to make your day as special as possible.
I highly recommend booking your wedding at Mountain Branch--they do not disappoint!
Mountain Branch did an amazing job helping my mom plan my bridal shower here! LeeAnn was awesome to work with, very responsive and accommodating. She made the event stress free so ...
my mom could really enjoy herself at my shower. The room we were in was gorgeous and fit all of our guests perfectly. LeeAnn helped us set up tables, decor and the food. Mountain Branch did a great job with our signature drink selection for the shower as well as the luncheon they provided. We were very impressed and received several compliments on the event. I would highly recommend Mountain Branch for any event!
We had our wedding at Mountain Branch in October and could not have been happier. From the beginning, Carol McCarthy was there to guide us through the process and she was fabulous...
. She was so involved that she even shared her wedding anniversary with us to make sure our night went as planned. The rest of her team were so helpful, the day before, during and after the wedding as we dropped off/picked up a lot of decorations, favors, etc. Our rehearsal dinner was also at Mountain Branch, which was also memorable. It was raining the morning and early afternoon of our wedding, so the staff had set everything up for the ceremony to be inside the tent. The rain stopped about 30 minutes before the ceremony started, so we asked if we could have it outside. With no questions asked, the team rearranged everything to be outside as we originally hoped it would be. Our family and friends were amazed with their quickness, and not to mention the rest of the service, how great the food was, and so forth. This just goes to show the kind of customer service they consistently delivered throughout our entire experience. We had the wedding of our dreams, and our guests said it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to. I would highly recommend Mountain Branch to everyone considering this venue. Thanks again for everything, Carol and team! You all are amazing and really made our day so special!
Ok, I don't even know where to begin with this review. First of all, We want to give a HUGE Thank you to Carol Mccarthy! She was our amazing wedding coordinator at Mountain Branch ...
where we had our wedding ceremony and reception. My husband and I looked at a lot of wedding venues, but we didn't see anything that we LOVE until we saw this place. On our first meeting, Carol greeted us with a big smile and a big hug. We fell in Love with the place and with her! What do we love about her? She was welcoming and very easy to talk to, she listened and took her time answering every questions we had, she promptly responded to all my emails, and she was on top of everything (seriously!). She asked for my vendors contact information so she can call and follow-up if there are any issues the day of the wedding. On our wedding day, the ceremony and reception area looked absolutely beautiful! A lot of our guests commented on the elegance of the venue and how fantastic the food was. There was so much room to dance around. In fact, a lot of our guests were up dancing! They had a Blast! It was the best night of our lives and we are still getting compliments on how beautiful everything was. Of course, we owe it all to Carol, her assistant, Ashley, and the rest of the staff. They made our wedding so beautiful and stress-free- Thank you guys so much! WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND MOUNTAIN BRANCH FOR ANY EVENTS! Ask for Carol and Ashley, they are awesome and you'll LOVE them. We cannot Thank you enough, Carol. We appreciate everything you've done for us and for making our wedding beautiful and just perfect.

Loved this venue! Unfortunately it did rain on our day but the view was still beautiful and breathtaking. The covered walkway and areas outside the tent were fabulous for this rea...
son. LeeAnn was wonderful to work with and answered any questions I had. The food was amazing and they had recently purchased new chairs which really added to the space. The tent was new as well with large windows overlooking the view. I highly recommend this place!
The venue was amazing, we got married on the lawn right outside of the tent. Our reception was in the tent. We had 154 guest and the tent fit them perfectly. The food was delicious...
, the staff was wonderful. And LeeAnn the wedding planner was perfect!!!
I picked this venue as soon as I went to the Bridal show. The view is breathtaking! It was a bit far from my house, but I did not care one bit. Everyone asked why we got married so...
far away and then they got there. "I get it now!" They could understand why I choose Mountain Branch. The golf course is beautiful and the tent is just as beautiful. The staff there are so helpful! LeAnn was wonderful. She made my day the best it could have been. If you want an outdoor wedding, just go here and see it. Once you see it, I bet you choose Mountain Branch. I truly had the best wedding and it was because of this place! The food, service, and overall atmosphere was perfect!
Carol & her top notch staff amazingly pulled together our most special day. Every single detail was well taken care of & even better than we could imagine. We felt well taken care ...
of from start to finish! All of our details were executed flawlessly! It certainly was the best day of our lives and we couldn't have imagined a better place to have our Reception than at Mountain Branch! Cheri is one of a kind & truly did a fantastic job! She has a keen eye for the details. We received so many compliments on the venue and the food especially. Everything was so delicious! Mountain Branch is a one of a kind, beautiful venue with amazing views, indoor/outdoor Reception space and the most beautifully draped tent you will ever see!

he day-of event leader, was there to make things go so smoothly and decorated the place like no other! She was so sweet and helpful. The scenery is beautiful and picture perfect. The most important reason that my day was so dream-like was because of my wedding coordinator, Janeen Kuser. I cannot say enough about her. She listened to what we wanted and built upon it. It was like she could read my mind! I wasn't 100% positive about going to Mountain Branch in the beginning of my planning but because of Janeen, I can't imagine our fairytale day anywhere else. I HIGHLY recommend Mountain Branch for a wedding venue and use Janeen as your coordinator!!!!
I had my wedding and reception at mountain branch golf club and loved every second of it!! They were so amazing to work with and catered to our every need. Carol was the sweetest...
person ever, and helped me the entire process of the way. Everything was perfect, the food and drinks were amazing, and it is such a beautiful place.
Mountain Branch could have easily gotten 5 stars from this very detail oriented bride, but they didn’t. Kim, the wedding coordinator, was amazing! Her response time for communica...
tion was impeccable. She was professional, knowledgeable, and fun all at the same time. The venue is beautiful, neat, and clean. The staff on hand that night was great and there were plenty of them. My guests still rave about the food! It was wonderful, served hot and right on time. I would highly recommend this venue to any other bride however, BEWARE OF THE FLOURESENT “NO SMOKING” SIGNS EVERYWHERE IN THE TENT!!!!! They became quite the eye sore in my very expensive wedding video and pictures. Luckily, my photographer (Jessica Eastburn, who was amazing) was able to edit the majority out but it was a lot of man-hours and not all photos could be saved. There was nothing I could do for video so unfortunately I have to live with that. I understand there is code and requirements for establishments, but right above the sweet heart table? Come on Mountain Branch, you have to do a little better than that!!!! Of course, when I questioned them afterward they really didn’t want anything to do with me; they had my parent’s money at that point and could really care less. I would recommend them however, do not let them keep the “NO SMOKING” sign over the sweet heart table, you will regret it, trust me!!!!
The food was amazing, the staff was wonderful and very helpful. As a bride I didn't have to worry about anything, they were there and helping so that I didn't have to worry about ...
anything. I would recommend them to anyone.

ob. The food was absolutely perfect. We served the filet mignon and crab cake as our main course. I was worried that since we were serving 155 guests, the steaks were going to be overcooked, and not what I expected. Carol insured me that it would taste exactly like it did when we did our dinner tasting, AND IT DID! It turned out perfect. This was just one example, among many. We upgraded our dance floor, which I would highly recommend. Overall great vendor to work with!
Mountain Branch is breathtakingly beautiful. We had our ceremony and reception there. The backdrop for the ceremony was so beautiful you’d have to see it to believe it. But the ...
beauty is not the only reason why we loved it. The staff there is incredible. Carol McCarthy and Kim Yontosh were wonderful leading up to our wedding day. Carol and Sherry made sure the day ran smoothly. Everything was done on time. We never felt rushed and all of the staff executed everything without us having to worry about a single thing. The food was absolutely delicious. We had a few guests tell us that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. We highly recommend Mountain Branch and if we could do it all over again we would make the same choice.
I had my wedding here on Aug 17th 2013. I went into planning wanting no stress and little work to do. Mountain Branch was definitely my answer! They offer packages where you can gr...
oup everything together. All you have to do is choose what you want. Like going to the cake tasting since the cake is included in the total. I had a 5 hour premium open bar reception. Our food was amazing too. I had compliments on everything. We did mini crab cakes, bruschetta, pork skewers and bacon wrapped scallops for cocktail hour and filet for dinner. Perfection!!! The cake was done by Yia Yias bakery and tasted as good as it looked. Carol McCarthy, our appointed planner, is a master of her craft. She had every last detail planned out to the minute. Down to beers in our hands when we needed them. She was very friendly and easy to discuss things with too. Overall A++ and I highly recommend!! No complaints.
The staff was amazing. The set up and lay out and care for how everything looked was perfect. They did an amazing job!
Mountain Branch is a beautiful location. Our contact there, Kimberly, was great. She was very responsive and flexible. We live about an hour and a half from the golf course so i...
t's not always easy to come up there, especially when a lot of vendors want to meet during the week. Kimberly was flexible about when we met for our tasting. The food was great. All of the apps and entrees were delicious. I was disappointed at the amount of hor deurves that were passed throughout cocktail hour. I even heard from a few guests that they barely got any. My mother of all people only got a few pieces of cheese (which she said she had to cut herself, there had been some slices in the beginning but then no staff came back to cut the rest of the blocks). She saw a tray of butlered hor deurves go by one time and she wasn't even get the opportunity to grab something.
Another issue was that the AC unit was leaking onto the guests who were sitting at the table underneath of it. When I came over to greet that table, the people who had been closest to the tent wall under the AC were standing because they were getting wet. That is completely unacceptable, and even if AC units tend to do that (I have no idea), then the tables need to be arranged around that issue.
My last issue is that Mountain Branch threw away my cake topper. Sure it was an inexpensive acrylic set of our initials and a heart, but it was something I wanted to save. And sure I could just order a replacement, but I shouldn't have to.
I think that other than the items I mentioned above, everything ran smoothly, but I also think a lot of that had to do with my coordinator, Briana, from Nouvelle Weddings and Events who did an outstanding job.
We got married at Mountain Branch just over 3 weeks ago. Carol, the wedding coordinator was great, pretty good communication. I never had to wait more that 4 or 5 days to hear from...
her, and I think it was only that long over Memorial Day weekend. The prices are a little steep, but they do have plenty of options that help cut the budget. They really worked with us as far as getting pictures taken early, very helpful with last minute things. I was very pleased with the venue. My only complaint is that the bathroom is no where near the tent, you have to walk through the bar and restaurant to get to the bathroom...I was in a massive wedding dress trying to cut through a backed bar during an O's play off game, not fun and it was a little hard for the elderly guest, but not a deal breaker. It is a beautiful location too!
I chose Mountain Branch based on photos only and knew I made the right choice months later when I finally visited the venue and met Kim, the wedding coordinator. Kim was a amazing ...
in helping to plan our wedding, especially since I was planning the wedding from out of state. The price was commensurate with other comparable venues. Be aware that they have a minimum of 130 guests, which was not a problem for us, but might be for others. My now husband is an avid golfer and he and his groomsmen were able to do a bachelor golf outing, him for free and them for a reduced rate, the day before the wedding. The wedding was PERFECT, thanks largely in part to Kim and the staff at Mountain Branch.
Food and property were amazing!!! I was worried that the tent may not be cool enough since we got married in July but the temperature in the tent was perfect. The staff were accomo...
dating, friendly and made the evening run smooth. There were some glitches in the planning process but it did not effect our wedding day.

d. We were promised valet parking and did not have it. Dinner was served too late due to inadequate servers. Management failure to provide quality guest services. After wedding when spoke with Manager at Mountain Branch was extremely rude and could have cared less about complaints. Mountain Branch was not the quality service we expected.
Our wedding took place on the day of Hurricane Hannah. We were supposed to be in a large tent outside but Mountain Branch closed the restaurant so that it could be held inside. Wh...
ile we lost out on linens and other nice things it was very intimate and they bent over backward to make everything work as well as possible.;Being aware of unusually bad weather if they wanted it in the tent but knowing Mountain Branch does have a back up which while it may not be as nice everyone was dry which was most important and they did their best to make it as nice as possible. It all worked out and was great.
