Natalie and her team are extremely welcoming, patient, and kind. I’ve been dancing with Natalie since 2014, but my fiancé was new to ballroom dancing. Natalie choreographed our dan...
ce specifically for us. She asked for feedback as we went along and made adjustments based on our preferences and abilities. We highly recommend Move the Beat.
Thank you, Natalie, for helping my husband and I at our wedding. I love all the fun and full of energy in the dance studio. I highly suggest going here for great experience.
We booked lessons with Move the Beat for our first dance at our wedding and without a doubt, it was a GREAT choice. Natalie put together a dance that was beautiful and she met us w...
here we were at. She was flexible and accommodating which we were very grateful for. We wowed our wedding guests thanks to our work with Natalie. A definite book!
Move the Beat is a fantastic, welcoming, energetic and friendly dance studio that is worth a trip even if you're in the city. We worked with Natalie and Krystal to learn a choreogr...
aphed tango for our first dance at our wedding and they were so full of enthusiasm and warmth all throughout that we knew we were at the best place to create something special and memorable.
We were looking for a location primarily in Chicago to learn a choreographed wedding dance just a month out from the special day. Due to the time constraint, most places were skeptical or only wanted to teach the basics. We were referred to Natalie and from the first introduction you can tell she would not only be fun but also invested in your success and confidence when it comes to the performance.
At times, it also felt like a collaboration as Natalie was always open to incorporating our ideas and also didn't shy from challenging us to going bigger with moves we might not have considered but she believed we could accomplish. We switched to working with Krystal midway as Natalie recovered from a broken ankle (but who still showed up!) and it was a seamless transition. We also got extra practice time thanks to Natalie's husband, who also helped capture video, opening the studio while there was a winter storm. There's not enough compliments to give the Move the Beat family for how personable and genuine they all are.
Come wedding day, we felt prepared, comfortable and excited to dance thanks to the creativity and instruction from Move the Beat. Their ability to break down, encourage, fine tune and guide you through everything was natural and great. Well worth the visit from the city!
My feyonce and I decided to work with Move The Beat for our first wedding dance. Right away Natalie responded to me and answered any questions I had before we began working with h...
er. She always greets us with a smile and comes up with creative dance moves that we are comfortable with but that will also “wow” our wedding guests :) I like that she always sends a reminder for our next lesson and is accommodating if we ever need to change our lesson. We are very impressed with what she has taught us and can’t wait to show everyone! We highly recommend this company and especially working with Natalie!
Natalie and Krystal are both so great!! My husband and I took lessons with Krystal for our first dance, and have gotten so many compliments on it. We absolutely loved going to clas...
s every week, it was one of our favorite parts of wedding planning. We wanted a first dance that we would always remember, and didn't want to feel like teenagers slow dancing at prom ;) We showed Krystal some of the "cutesy" things we were looking for, and she made sure we were in love with our final routine. I am so thankful we chose to take these lessons, the memories will last a lifetime!
We had the fortunate experience of doing our private lessons with Natalie, who choreographed our first dance for our wedding. From our first lesson “to check it out”, we knew this ...
was the right fit for us! As high school sweethearts, we attended many dances and always had two left feet. Thanks to Natalie, we’re entering our wedding confident in our moves. Additionally, we took a risk of taking some salsa classes with Krystal who is also beyond amazing in her technique and teaching abilities. Both of these ladies have made dancing no longer a drag, but instead it’s something we look forward to attending together weekly. We can’t wait to continue our married life dancing between the arms of The Move Beat! Thank you Natalie and Krystal for everything!
We loved working with Natalie and Jessie!! The lessons were a lot of fun and it was a great break from the sometimes stressful wedding planning. Our first dance was amazing, worth...

l very comfortable with all eyes on us for our first dance. We would strongly recommend Move the Beat for anyone with no/little dance experience (though there was plenty of people at the studio who knew how to dance!) looking for help creating the perfect first dance moment.
Natalie is a wonderful choreographer and teacher! She helped us with our first dance at our wedding. We couldn't be happier!
My husband and I absolutely loved working with Natalie. We both can't dance and we didn't want to just stand in the middle swaying back and forth. Natalie helped with our first da...
nce jitters and made one on one class so much fun. Natalie even emailed us a shorter version of our first dance song to give to the DJ so we didn't have to use the full version. It helped a lot since we were also able to practice at home with timing. I highly recommend Move the Beat for all your dancing needs! Thank you so much!
