Moving Pictures is hands down the best videography and cinematography team you can hire for your special day. No other business compares to this team of miracle workers. My husband and I are SO happy we invested in them and selected them to capture the essence of our beautiful wedding day. When first shopping around for a videographer months ago, my photographer and other vendors kept recommending adding Moving Pictures to our dream team line up. The only reservation I had was the price. Videography services are expensive in general and going with Moving Pictures did mean I had to up my budget some. (Note that it is steep but SO worth every single penny. I have no regrets whatsoever and I believe you truly get what you pay for—in this case, a high quality, perfect product). My husband and I were sold when we browsed their collection of work online. We literally went through and watched every single clip we could find on their website, Facebook, Instagram and FELL IN LOVE. It wasn’t until we watched a Feature Film for a couple that made us say YES. The feature film hit us with a wave of emotions—we were joyous, our heart strings were pulled, we cried like babies—and we didn’t even know this couple! We knew that if Moving Pictures would capture and present our day to make others feel the way we did with this couple—they were the ones for us. And so, we contacted them! I first spoke with Carrie who was wonderful in providing me all the helpful information (packages, prices, how they work, etc.). She was always quick to respond to my e-mails and gave me clear expectations and timelines. Once we signed with them, we were notified of who our Cinematographer would be, Rev, and he was kind enough to give us a call a few weeks prior to the big day to review expectations, the wedding day timeline, and any special requests we had. On the big day, Rev and his assistant Zee arrive and were so professional. What’s great about Moving Pictures is how well they worked with our photography team, ANIKO Productions, to capture all the right shots and angles. You can tell they are such professionals in the work they do and considered everything. I knew our day was in the right hands with this team. Exactly three months after our wedding day we are contacted by Emily, our film editor. She invites us to come into the studio for a special premiere screening of our feature film. (Can I emphasize that it was only THREE MONTHS? I hear stories of films taking at least 5 months, or even 9-12!) My husband and I were in tears the entire time. The opening and closing, the speeches and stories interwoven throughout the entire film, the scoring, the beautiful, high quality footage—EVERYTHING was truly moving. They went above and beyond our expectations to put together a film that we will cherish forever. We were so happy with how everything turned out and there is absolutely nothing we would change. Your wedding day goes by in the blink of an eye and Moving Pictures does a fantastic job of capturing those special feelings, moments, and details for you to relive the best day of your life over and over again. Hands down the easiest and best decision we made about our wedding day- choosing Moving Pictures to capture the most important day in our lives. Some bride and grooms might think woah about the price but when you really think about it, you will want to pick quality, not quantity (the wedding videos you get back within 48 hours or a week). Not only is the first introduction already very personable, they also meet with you before the wedding to get to know you personally and ask all your wants. Day of the wedding we felt so comfortable with Marc and the second shooter, they felt like family on that day and you knew that they already had their magical plan in place of how and where they were going to capture every moment of the wedding. They came to the rescue with lights since we cut the cake in the dark- which actually made the wedding footage look even cooler. The team was great about communicating our wedding timeline ETA and even though we waited a bit longer than anticipated it was 1000% even more worth it. They compensated for the time as well, adding in extra features and a preview. Moving Pictures also does this cool thing where they re-post footage on their social media randomly and makes you cry when you unexpectedly see it and cry at work. I can't say enough great things about Moving Pictures and it should be an easy choice for future bride and grooms to pick them for their wedding day!

We spent over 1.5 years planning our wedding and we wanted a film company who we knew we could trust to capture all of the detail in the most professional way possible. Moving Pictures is that company! They were an absolute pleasure to work with and they even took the time to get to know me and my Bride on a personal level! Having so much collaboration with them prior to the event allowed them to understand our vision and execute it flawlessly! This is by far the best Film company in the State of Oregon, if not the entire country! If you want the best of the best choose moving Pictures! We cannot recommend Moving Pictures enough! Marc, Emily, Carrie and the entire MP team were incredible to work with. We were blown away by our video! They are the most caring, fun and creative people to work with- hands down the best in the business. We love being able to watch our video and re-live our day over and over and know we will cherish it always. The entire team makes such an effort to get to know you and tell your story through the video. Our video felt like a cinematic production and not just some camera on a tripod. They communicated with us often and spending the day with them was comfortable and easy. They felt like great friends throughout our day and were so easy to work with! We cannot say enough great things about them. On top of everything; we had a very close friend battling cancer who devastated she was too sick to make it to our wedding. When our planner communicated this to Marc and the team; they went above and beyond for us. After our wedding; they shared a same day edit with our close friend who couldn't be there. They knew how meaningful this would be for her to see and feel as though she were there; and it truly meant so much to her. She passed just a couple of months after our wedding; and we are SO grateful that she was able to see this and cannot thank them enough for this. Do yourself a favor and hire them. They are worth the investment and so much more!

Moving Pictures is FANTASTIC!!! Don’t go anywhere else to get your wedding film made! Moving Pictures was able to determine without my talking to them all of the special moments of my wedding and complied them into the most beautiful short film. Thanks Moving Pictures!

my wedding had two details that would’ve upset me: the videographer or photographer not showing up. everything else was small stuff. lucky for me, our videographers were on time AND amazing! and they worked seamlessly with the photographer. from the first interaction with moving pictures, the customer service was spot on. and i can’t imagine being happier with the final product. i wish they were a company we would have a need to work all the time! highly recommended! (and splurge on the drone!)

Somehow we found out about Moving Pictures, and we are so thankful that we did! My husband and I got married on June 30th this year, and we hired Moving Pictures to do our videography. We had made a list of the things we just had to have at our wedding, and videography was at the top of our list, along with photography. These are the things that you take with you from your special day, to treasure forever, and we knew we wanted the very best! We can’t say enough positive things about Moving Pictures!! They truly are the best in the business! Not only are they extremely professional, but they make the whole experience very personal, and each member of the team is extremely friendly and passionate about their work! We had the pleasure of having Marc and Megan film our wedding, and we’re telling you, THEY ARE AMAZING! They made the whole day fun, and knew exactly when to “cue” us for good footage, and when to sit back and film from a distance. We first met Carrie when we were getting more information about Moving Pictures. She is amazing and always responds so quickly to our emails! Marc met with us before our big day, to go over details for our wedding, and to get to know us on a more personal level. Marc really listened to what we wanted to be in our film. He made us feel so comfortable and confident that we had made the right choice going with their company for our wedding! He is so kind and very much passionate about what he does, and his energy is contagious. We sat and talked for a while, and honestly it felt like we had known him forever. Megan is amazing as well! She and Marc work so well together, and they made the experience fun for everyone involved! When we first met with Carrie, and later Marc, they were pleased to hear who we had chosen to do our photography, as they often work with these wonderful photographers. During our big day, it was very evident how comfortable the photographers and videographers were with one another, which made things go so smoothly! Emily was our film editor and she is truly incredible, too!! We were notified when our film was ready, and they invited us to come back to their studio for a “premiere screening!” My husband and I brought our parents with us and we all watched it for the first time together. There wasn’t a dry eye in that room! She made the PERFECT video for us, and it so captured our amazing day, and all the incredible aspects that we were hoping to have in our film! It’s only been a few months, and my husband and I have watched our film over and over! This truly is something that we will always treasure, and we love that we get to share it with those we love! The whole team at Moving Pictures is incredible, and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts!

We could not be more pleased with Moving Pictures. Mark and his team are consummate professionals. From the discerning taste to the couple with negligible preferences, they are a great fit for any couple. It truly was amazing to watch our film and see all the moments they captured so perfectly because we hardly noticed they were there on our big day. Moving Pictures captured our wedding day so perfectly. My friends and family that couldn't make it to the Big Day feel as though they were there due to the amazing storytelling in the film. We weren't sure if we should hire a videographer, but we are so glad we did! Moving Pictures really went above and beyond any expectations that I had. They took the chance to get to know us before the wedding and gave many follow ups during their editing. Each time we watch the video, we find something new to fall in love with. My husband found them searching the internet and we watched their preview films and my only requirement was I cry when I watch it! I wanted to feel the emotion in the video and that I did! I cried during videos of other people’s wedding and then when we got our own back it was unreal! It was beyond what I ever could have dreamed! It had all the moments I felt like I got to relive the day in the best way possible! I can’t stop watching it! They are incredible and their team is so easy to work with and don’t make you feel uncomfortable being video taped I forgot they were there they seemed just like another guest at our wedding! WOW-- thank you Moving Pictures for the most amazing wedding video we could have EVER imagined!! Hiring Moving Pictures was one of the best decisions that we almost didn't make. The idea of having a camera on us all day was a bit intimidating, and we weren't sure how often we would actually watch the video. However, Marc and his team were extremely professional, provided valuable perspective in helping us prepare to have our day captured, and were super fun! We can't imagine not having our video now to look back on our wedding day!! We have cherished watching and re-watching the incredible story the team captured and edited. Their talent to retell our wedding day thru video makes hiring them an easy recommendation.

I am obsessed with my wedding video! From the beginning all the way to the end, Moving Pictures was simply amazing. They were professional, personable and provided nothing but top notch service. Carrie was always available to answer any questions, help with our timeline and coordinate everything. She is the sweetest! Our videographer Ruvim was so cool! He made us feel at ease and honestly didn't even know he was there for most of the time! The videographers really do stay out of the way while still capturing every single moment. I watched so many wedding videos before booking a videographer and Moving Pictures has the BEST quality and the most talented staff out there! Emily, our editor, OMG she is awesome!! The owner Marc even sits down and watches the video with you when it's complete! These people love what they do and you can see it in their work. Seriously their films don't even compare to others! We are so happy that we went with Moving Pictures to document our wedding day. At one point, we were even considering if it was even worth adding to the budget. Wow, we are so glad we went ahead with it! There were many elements in the video that we, as a bride and groom, were not able to catch that day since our time and attention was pulled to so many different places. The day goes by so fast! There's nothing like being able to relive it over and over as many times as you want! Moving Pictures was able to capture the whole vibe and emotion from that day and being able to share that with family and friends that were not able to make it that day is just priceless. Words can't explain how happy we are with Moving Pictures. From the moment we met our videographer to the time we received our finished product we had nothing but a wonderful experience. Our Videographer Glen took the time to get to know us personally which completely showed in our video. Anyone would be lucky to him assigned to your wedding. Our editor Emily demonstrated amazing customer service. She even helped us add a personal touch to our video! This was definitely worth every penny!

We were very impressed by the professionalism of Moving Pictures and its employees, and the incredibly high quality wedding video they produced for us. My mom and I did a special, surprise and choreographed mother and son dance, and Moving Pictures not only beautifully captured it on film, but made a professionally edited version for us as well! We were not expecting that, and it is something that my mother and I will cherish for the rest of our lives. These guys are incredible. We LOVE the video. It's just amazing. Thank you to Ryan for all the editing work you put into this. We had many loved ones who were not able to make our wedding, so we knew from the beginning that we wanted a videographer to capture our day. We went to what my husband thinks were hundreds of wedding shows, and out of every videographer we saw, none had a product equal to the quality of Moving Picture Weddings. From the moment we met the Moving Picture team and saw a few of their clips, we knew we did not have to look any further! The icing on the cake was discovering that Marc was an Aussie, his voice made me feel like I was back home! On the day of the wedding the team was so professional and great with all of the guests, I had many friends comment about how fantastic they were. The quality of their work is impeccable! The 'Next Day Edit’ was the perfect summary of our wedding, and a wonderful way to share our day with all our friends who were not able to attend; we also used it to surprise all our out of town guests at the day-after brunch! As a bride, the crew at Moving Pictures did not only capture my day perfectly, but did much more: they pinned boutonnieres, made my guests feel at home, and where calming voices during nervous moments. When we were planning for our big day, we almost let the videographer pass by. We just weren't sure if it was something we really wanted. I can't tell you how happy we didn't pass it by! There is nothing like seeing and hearing the details and speeches from your wedding that you don't remember because the day goes by so quickly. I knew from the day my (now) husband and I got engaged that a videographer was going to be a must for our wedding day. As an event planner, I know just how fast special days can go by, and we wanted to make sure to remember as much of the day as we could. We had an awesome time working with Moving Pictures for our wedding video. Everyone was friendly, easy to work with and lots of fun. They did an awesome job on our video. They put a unique style to our video and captured important events through out our day and we loved it. My suggestion is to hire them for the whole entire day, wish we did.

My husband and I had the fortunate privilege of working with Marc and the MPW Team on 2 separate occasions, for our engagement cinema portrait session and on our wedding day. My husband, who has a shy and quiet temperament, was incredibly hesitant about talking on camera. I, admittedly, was just as nervous about being filmed. We needn’t have been worried or nervous! Marc’s humor, charm and down to earth personality made filming such a fun and memorable experience! Within an hour of working together on our first shoot, my husband and I were so relaxed we forgot that we were even on camera, thanks to Marc’s great direction! We couldn’t have been happier with the end product. We absolutely LOVED our engagement cinema portrait and actually showed a surprise viewing for our guests during our wedding reception. It received so many compliments, as many of our family and friends had never seen anything like it! Getting to work with Marc and MPW Team again for our wedding was even more fun the second time around! Despite our wedding day jitters, both my husband and I couldn’t help but relax, laugh and enjoy ourselves while working with Marc. Never at anytime did we feel that the MPW Team stood out as our “vendor or videographer.” Rather, many of our guests didn’t event realize we had videographers filming, the team was so inconspicuous! Marc is such a visionary and creative talent, and is a true joy to work with. We cannot thank Marc and the MPW Team enough for the AMAZING experience of personalized cinematography. We highly recommend Moving Picture Weddings! It was, by far one of the best investments we made for our wedding.

We are so pleased we chose Moving Pictures to film our ceremony and our reception. Being filmed is something that doesn’t happen every day obviously, so we were way outside our comfort zones. Marc & Megan put us at right at ease—we felt comfortable right from the beginning; we didn’t even realize we were on camera most of the time! What a FUN duo to work with, too. There were just 3 days between our wedding in Seattle and our reception in Portland so a rush edit was in order for a ceremony highlights video. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the results—the film was reflective of our personalities and captured the feeling of the event perfectly. There wasn’t a dry eye in the ballroom after the video viewing and we have received so many compliments since about how well done the video was. Marc & Megan exceeded all of our expectations. If you’re considering a videographer, we HIGHLY recommend Moving Pictures…you’re getting more than just a video to capture your big day, you’re getting lots of fun memories in making the video, too!

Our cinematographers were incredible! I researched all of the companies is our area and these were the very best! I watched countless wedding videos created by other companies and was unimpressed and disappointed by how cheesy and amateur they seemed. My fiancee and I were really nervous about the idea of having video cameras in our faces all night, as neither of us do well being the center of attention to begin with. Our cameramen were amazing! They were so stealthy and out of the way-we honestly never even noticed them! That said, I know their work and I know they captured every bit of every special moment. Working with Moving Pictures has been easy and enjoyable from the very beginning. Our first meeting was very relaxed and they helped us to come up with a package that would meet our needs (and wants) and that stayed within our budget. I highly recommend Moving Picture Weddings!

Marc and his crew from Moving Picture Weddings did an incredible job filming our wedding and even renting a harness and special camera to capture our city from our grand exit vehicle, a helicopter!

After touring the Portland Bridal show in January of 2012, I knew I had to book Marc at Moving Picture Weddings for my September wedding. I watched one amazing video and I was completely sold!! His work is like no one else's in Portland! Absolutely stunning and heartfelt. Marc and his crew have such an amazing talent. They are on the go the entire day catching every move and every word. I have no idea how they edit such a large amount of footage down to capturing the most precious moments of the day.
