Mr. Burch Formal Wear

So I rented a suit for my friend's wedding. My friend had a previously bad experience with them, but I was optimistic. Upon getting fitted for the suit by Cynthia (I believe that was her name). I noticed that it was a little snug when she tightened the straps. It had been falling down and she stated that I needed to tighten the belt to allow for a better fit. She assured me that it "looked good". That evening as I was at the wedding I reached over to pick a fork off the ground and the pants split up the back. Needless to say, this was very embarrassing. I had to go the rest of the night with split pants. On top of that, I got a very unprofessional phone call from Cynthia (yes the same Cynthia that had improperly fitted my suit). She asked me what happened and stated that the boss was mad. Not been a suit store employee, I had taken her word for it that my suit was properly fitted and had (mistakenly) assumed that I could bend over in them to pick up a fork. She stated that it was not the sizing that was the problem. Interesting how she would say that, given she is the one that sized me. Now I need to pay 100 dollars to replace the pants. I was so frustrated with the conversation that I am going to pay the 100 dollars and be done with it. However, I feel as though I should give other shoppers a head's up. Stay away from Mr. Burch. They are unprofessional, and it appears that their suits are made of paper. Joshua Yerkes
