We don't EVER use an iPod or mobile tablet to play your music; we mix everything, especially cocktails and dinner. We value the opportunity to learn about you, your family, and your guest. We will gain insight from our meetings, watching guest reactions during moments of your event, and especially learn from requests. From there, we take it away and help you create a unique playlist that is reflective of your family and guest. We believe ambiance is a powerful part of special moments. Decor and lighting are critical to creating those moments. We try to help you create visuals that give events a wow factor. We are cognisant of cables, road cases, and even simple tables. We don't use road cases on a table. We bring customized furniture to create the look you want. Do you want sleek and modern or rustic and sheik, we will blend into your decor and accentuate the moments you're trying to create. All of our lightings are custom designed. There is no other option. Regardless of what you choose for atmospheric effects, we can assure you, it will not detract from your event. Each event is planned and calculated for visual impact. We custom program lighting to every musical track you select. There is no, "sound active" lighting. This means, rather than spinning and blinking, the lighting you choose reacts precisely to your vision. At the ceremony he attached his own microphones to both my officiant as well as my husband. There was not one guests that couldn't hear the ceremony.
For our reception, he exceeded my expectations. Not only did his playlists and DJ skills come to full fruition- he set up a photo booth both at cocktail hour and the reception room that I saw guests using all night. Additionally, when he says he is good with lighting- he is not kidding. He utilized uplighting, dance floor lighting and everything in between that photographed beautifully and totally enhanced our party. He even independently created a dance floor monogram with our names on it which was beautiful.
I recommend Mike for any function without hesitation. Get him before he's gone.

first and foremost rather than having multiple events back to back. He provided a true DJ service, uplighting, photo-booth, and wedding games all for one price! We had multiple meetings with Michael where we were able to design the exact experience we wanted. We had requested Arabic, English and Spanish music and Michael was able to get everything in time for the wedding. I was especially impressed when he was talking about going as far as purchasing physical copies of the music in order to have the proper quality available. From the get-go Michael was top notch at communication and answered all of our questions about exactly what we would be getting with his services. He offeres some outstanding packages that included his DJ services, the mirror photo booth (this thing RULES!), a video welcome recording kiosk for guests to leave us a short video during our wedding, and last but certainly not least some truly wonderful lighting that really transformed our venue into a stellar place to have a wedding.
Michael and his assistant Adrian we're an incredible team during our wedding and our guests had a blast dancing the night away as they spun hit after hit. M. R. K. has a very easy to use website where you can add in requested songs to be played during your night, as well as all of the music and cues needed for a ceremony. During the event he was nothing short of professional and did a fantastic job with MCing and keeping the party going!
I cannot stress to you enough how great an experience we had with Michael and M.R.K. Entertainment at our wedding and we would 100% suggest you hire him for yours.

im and excited about the big day. On the day of the wedding he was behind the scenes coordinating with our somewhat scatterbrained wedding coordinator and I can not thank him enough for that! I would have given him 5/5 stars, but there were some promises that he didn't keep. He had said he would send us a recording of our vows and photos from a photo booth. However, we did not pay for the photo booth and it was an "extra" he was just trying out so I can't fault him too much. It was just a bit disappointing for us after he offered them not to receive them - We are still getting guests asking us for the photo booth pictures to this day! Also, we had one of the only wedding ceremonies I've been to where everyone was mic-ed properly and you could actually hear the officiant and vows! The lighting was just right for our event. Being a more casual event, there was some LED lighting that highlighted the location we chose. He had some fun dance floor lighting, without being over-bearing.
Not only was the music superb, but he helped keep us on track for our schedule as well. He was completely and wholly invested in making our day the best possible and the casual seriousness with which he applied his services to our day made our wedding that much more enjoyable.

For all I know about party and event planning in Dallas, trying to plan this event in a city where I didn't know any vendors was terrifying! I was lucky to get a recommendation to Michael from fellow vendors in the area and could not be more pleased!
Not only did we get lucky he was available on short notice, using Skype, we were able to discuss specifics and setup everything from the walk down the isle through the reception exit. When we got into town, he came out the day prior to the wedding to scope the yard and establish a setup and lighting.

Back to the wedding. Their diamond package is SO AFFORDABLE. I'm not sure, but I think they own their equipment, so they don't pass on equipment rental fees to the client. That is a HUGE price difference. We had 6 hours of non-stop music, lights and fun. 34,000 Songs to choose from, Spot Light Grand Entrance, Wireless Microphones, Dancing on the Clouds and a ton of fun. There was so much more. We used his DJ service, as well as some lovely uplighting (we went with pink, which looked beautiful!) and a monogram on the wall behind the sweetheart table, which my husband wasn't on board with until he saw it. It looked great. We got a lot of compliments on how gorgeous our venue looked, and I attribute much of that to the extra touches we got.
The DJ service on the day of the wedding was outstanding. He remained organized and kept things together. He communicated well with the venue, got set up on time, and confirmed the schedule with the venue coordinator, and made sure the flow of the evening was right. This kept me relaxed and having fun. He saw what people were feeling and what they weren't, and he kept everyone on their feet without being cheesy. He was on point with timing, and not for a moment did I stop having fun on the dance floor to think of a single thing he could have done better.
I've already recommended him to two friends of mine that are engaged and planning weddings! I hope they pick him, because I'd love to go to a wedding he's Djing as a guest!

DJ Michael met with us several time and discussed our event. He kept detailed notes and pointed out or “to do” list with due dates. Thank you Michael for keeping us on track and focused; it’s easy to get lost in the details. Michael also pointe out the concerns about power, and most importantly, how people move in and out of a venue or rooms. We had serval rooms with different events in each and Michael was critical in making sure guest moved in a timely manner, all while not feeling pressured or pushed.
Michael’s mixing skill, song selection and energy brought amazing life to our dance portion of the night. He had my guest yelling when he played a song I would have easily over looked. That said, he also played my entire playlist! Michael took our request and compiled a playlist for the entire day. He’s like an Apple Genius in iTunes!

The day of the wedding could not have been better! The lighting was AMAZING, and we heard that people outside of the venue were noticing. DJ Michael did a great job matching the lighting with each part of the wedding, from cocktail hour to dinner to "party time". He played all of the music we requested and otherwise did a great job mixing it up so that all of our guests could enjoy the party. People danced all night!

ays remember. Right from the start, Mr. Kennedy made himself so available to us and we met several times in person and corresponded frequently over the phone and email. Everything was always comfortable and he really took to heart all of our input. The music for the evening was very tailored to us, as he went out of his way to involve us in every step of the planning. He's got a great eye for the flow of an event and he managed to keep everyone on the dance floor all night long with excellent transitions. I've been to weddings where the DJ just couldn't do that and it killed the mood, but Mr. Kennedy kept the floor alive and our guests very happy. His lighting was spectacular and when dusk arrived, he totally transformed our venue into something even high-end clubs would envy. I can't tell you how many comments we've received from our guests regarding how amazing everything looked. To top that off, everything was very affordable and a great value for all we received (we had him for about 9 hours). From start to finish, my experience with Mr. Kennedy has been that he's a great guy and is incredibly professional and passionate about what he does. We'd hire him again and again for future events and really couldn't have asked for anything more. I'd give him six stars if it were possible.
