We couldn’t be happier with Mike as our wedding DJ! From start to finish, he was incredibly easy to work with—responsive, kind, and truly dedicated to making our day special. We decided 2 weeks before our wedding that we wanted a DJ and reached out to several to describe our small wedding. Michael replied quickly and really listened to what we wanted, rather than send an auto-reply, inquiry form for us to fill out, or a pre-set list of packages like other DJs. We are so glad Michael was available! Michael was extremely communicative and flexible, we found the app quite intuitive and useful. The day of our event went smoothly and our guests were very impressed at his ability to mix in the Turkish pop we requested! The lighting set-up was something we didn’t know we needed but made our small dance party so much fun! We highly recommend MRK Entertainment for your event - thank you Michael!

Worth every penny! Michael was incredible. He was such a pro and so knowledgeable tech-wise about lighting and sound. He also did some awesome transitions and mixes on the dance floor, and lots of our guests told me he was the best wedding DJ they had ever experienced! Plus, he was calm and collected under pressure. We had to move our cocktail hour location halfway through because of weather, and Michael made that transition totally seamless.
10/10 recommend MRK Entertainment for your wedding day.

We HIGHLY recommend Michael for his wedding DJ services! He was fantastic to work with and did an incredible job with our wedding.
What initially drew us to his wedding package was the comprehensive nature of his offerings, all for one package price. This included everything from a drone (though we couldn’t use it due to rain… bummer), GoPro video from the day from various angles, fun lighting for the reception, and projection and recording of our vows, among other things. We loved that he offered some complimentary video services especially since we did not have a videographer.
From our initial meeting, Michael made us feel comfortable and made the planning process super easy. The app that he uses to capture all of the information and song selections was easy and intuitive to use, allowing us to add details and songs throughout the the planning process.
Michael was super flexible with the ceremony arrangements, accommodating our decision to hold the ceremony outside even though it was drizzling. He kept everyone MOVIN’ & GROOVIN’ on the dance floor, and many guests commented that it was the most fun wedding they had ever been to. He even let me (the bride) mix a song as the DJ, and even though I had no idea what I was doing, it made for some fun and memorable photos.
We opted to rent his photo booth (which was an additional fee outside of his package… but SO worth it!), and it was a huge hit with our guests. The props he brought were unique and fun, and there was a line at the photo booth for most of the evening because everyone wanted in on the action.
Michael really knocked it out of the park for us, and we were thrilled with how everything turned out. We highly recommend him for DJ services!
Michael was fantastic. He took the time to meet with us in person, get to know us, show us examples of his work and demo the mobile app that we used to build our playlists. He was attentive and responsive to our questions and requests. During our wedding, he complemented the whole event flawlessly, and even let my wife and I DJ for a few songs. We couldn't recommend MRK Entertainment enough.
Michael provided his DJ services for our wedding recently and I have to say there was not a thing I would have changed with the whole event. Everything came out absolutely fantastic and created an energized atmosphere that had the dance floor absolutely packed straight until our reception concluded at 11pm.
On top of the phenomenal DJ skills Michael has, his insight and help planning the various elements of the event and knowledge pertaining to the overall presentation and transition of each segment of the night was invaluable.
I cannot recommend Michael and his services enough; his contributions helped make our wedding a legendary success that our family will be talking about for many years to come.

DJ Michael was fantastic leading up to and during our wedding! He played basically all of our requests (and there were a lot!) he mashed and remixed well so a lot could be fit in and there wasn’t any dead air. The most bang for our buck, the best energy, and he got every guest out on the dance floor! If there was an option to select 6 stars I would! Michael was far and away the best vendor we had at our wedding in terms of quality and value. He did a phenomenal job on every component of our wedding from music, to lighting, to providing photos and videos with a number of go pros. If you’re debating using a different DJ for your event you should stop because there is literally no way they can be better than M.R.K.E!

5 stars isn’t enough for what Michael did for me and my wife’s wedding. Our original DJ cancelled on us just 5 days before our wedding, I reached out to Michael and he immediately made all that anxiousness about not having a DJ go away. He asked for some details then sent over links to an app that was amazing and lets you add all the info you need. Michael showed up to the wedding and created an absolutely memorable night for us and I cannot thank him enough

Michael did an incredible job at our wedding!! Very professional, went above and beyond with extra lights and media (GoPro videos) which was a very nice surprise a couple days after our wedding. When he realized our photographer was not quite to the reception, he set up his camera so the moment would be captured. Michael also stayed playing music much later than we originally asked, amazing!

Mike was amazing. He had our dance floor packed all night. His online software for planning purposes was user-friendly and allowed me to visualize exactly what the day would look like. I even shared his timeline with our coordinator and photographer and they used it as well. From start to finish his expertise was incredible and 100% made our day perfect.
At the ceremony he attached his own microphones to both my officiant as well as my husband. There was not one guests that couldn't hear the ceremony.
For our reception, he exceeded my expectations. Not only did his playlists and DJ skills come to full fruition- he set up a photo booth both at cocktail hour and the reception room that I saw guests using all night. Additionally, when he says he is good with lighting- he is not kidding. He utilized uplighting, dance floor lighting and everything in between that photographed beautifully and totally enhanced our party. He even independently created a dance floor monogram with our names on it which was beautiful.
I recommend Mike for any function without hesitation. Get him before he's gone.

For a full service, top notch and reasonably priced DJ experience look no further! From the moment we spoke to DJ Michael from MRK entertainment we knew we wanted to work with him. He was personable, experienced, and truly focuses on your event first and foremost rather than having multiple events back to back. He provided a true DJ service, uplighting, photo-booth, and wedding games all for one price! We had multiple meetings with Michael where we were able to design the exact experience we wanted. We had requested Arabic, English and Spanish music and Michael was able to get everything in time for the wedding. I was especially impressed when he was talking about going as far as purchasing physical copies of the music in order to have the proper quality available. Everything was perfect on the wedding day and we could not have asked for a better experience. Do yourself a favor and go with DJ Michael with MRK entertainment for your wedding. You will not regret it!

The photobooth ipad was a hit with our guests and was a great addition to the photos that we had of our big day. He met with us several times prior to the wedding to go over song selections, ceremony details, and any questions that we had. Since I wasn't sure what I really wanted, he was very helpful in figuring out what would be best for us. He was very punctual and was always very responsive to any questions that we had. If I could give Michael 1,000,000 stars, I would! Michael went so far above and beyond to make our day incredibly perfect and exactly what I envisioned. From having a sound system that could work without electricity and record our vows to keeping our dance floor going the ENTIRE reception. He even included things that weren't originally included in our package to round out everything perfectly.
He answers any questions you have promptly, on the phone and by email. His online planning tools made everything so easy for my husband and I to find the music we wanted - as well as give us ideas to leapfrog off!
Michael went above and beyond to make sure that everything was flawless for our special day! He had planned all the details so that when I was overwhelmed with everything I was able to ask him what was next and how it was supposed to go. We are so happy that we chose MRK to provide the entertainment for our reception. He did an amazing job keeping people on the dance floor, despite the large age range of our guests.

So... you're trudging through review after review of every DJ in the New England area thinking to yourself "how can I find the best possible DJ for my wedding?!". Simple answer: you hire Michael with M.R.K. Entertainment and then breathe a huge sigh of relief.
From the get-go Michael was top notch at communication and answered all of our questions about exactly what we would be getting with his services. He offeres some outstanding packages that included his DJ services, the mirror photo booth (this thing RULES!), a video welcome recording kiosk for guests to leave us a short video during our wedding, and last but certainly not least some truly wonderful lighting that really transformed our venue into a stellar place to have a wedding.
Michael and his assistant Adrian we're an incredible team during our wedding and our guests had a blast dancing the night away as they spun hit after hit. M. R. K. has a very easy to use website where you can add in requested songs to be played during your night, as well as all of the music and cues needed for a ceremony. During the event he was nothing short of professional and did a fantastic job with MCing and keeping the party going!
I cannot stress to you enough how great an experience we had with Michael and M.R.K. Entertainment at our wedding and we would 100% suggest you hire him for yours.

Much like the rest of the reviews I can say that he will absolutely keep your guests dancing and moving. More than that for us was during planning process, meetings with Micheal were never stressful and always ended in us feeling confident in him and excited about the big day. On the day of the wedding he was behind the scenes coordinating with our somewhat scatterbrained wedding coordinator and I can not thank him enough for that! I would have given him 5/5 stars, but there were some promises that he didn't keep. He had said he would send us a recording of our vows and photos from a photo booth. However, we did not pay for the photo booth and it was an "extra" he was just trying out so I can't fault him too much. It was just a bit disappointing for us after he offered them not to receive them - We are still getting guests asking us for the photo booth pictures to this day! Overall I would 100% recommend him to anyone who likes to dance and wants a high energy fun reception!
Michael was more than just our DJ- he was so helpful for every aspect of our wedding! He has a wealth of knowledge on planning the timeline, and even decorating ideas! His prices are unbelievable considering the service we got and the fun add-ons like the mirror photo booth! His website is easy to navigate and he found every song we put in a special request for. He helped us custom make our first dance song and I cannot thank him enough for that. He had our guest dancing long into the night because he is very good at reading the crowd. Working with Micheal was awesome! He was so helpful throughout the wedding planning process. He gets to know you and what your vision of your special day is and really helps everything run smoothly. Not only did he play great music that kept our guest on the dance floor all night but he kept everything on schedule and took so much stress off of us. M.R.K. Entertainment and DJ Matos made our wedding reception one to remember! DJ Matos was interactive with our guests, kept everyone dancing all night, took music requests AND allowed my husband and I behind the booth to play some songs! He was professional and informative and was there early to set up and help answer some last minute questions. They also have an online portal which is great for planning because it allows you to chose all the songs you want played and saves the list so you can keep adding at your own leisure. Not only does M.R.K Entertainment make planning easy but when the actual wedding day comes they are professional and make the day run smooth. They have the experience so you don't have to worry on your big day. We highly recommend them for your wedding!

One of the best decisions we made was working with Michael for our wedding. He is a total professional and went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. I'm talking came and met with us on a Sunday to talk through the day and show us how to use his very handy online platform, came with us to visit the venue (which was an old sailing club on Peaks Island) -- again on his own time -- to make sure he knew where all the outlets were and had the right equipment to accommodate our needs. Also, we had one of the only wedding ceremonies I've been to where everyone was mic-ed properly and you could actually hear the officiant and vows! This at an outdoor venue next to the ocean - not an easy feat. Our guests were dancing all night long, he had a great lighting display, and his #1 goal was to make us happy - mission accomplished! I can not recommend highly enough.
Working with Michael was such a pleasure! We knew one of the most important vendors a part of a wedding is the DJ/music. We met with Michael last July for our June 2017 wedding and he reassured us in so many ways. He plans ahead for any circumstance and is very knowledgeable in regards to weddings and entertaining people. We had a wedding of 165 people and there wasn't any point in the night when the dance floor wasn't crowded. He did such a great job playing the "must haves" and was very respectful in keeping away from the "do not play list." Michael was so fun to have around and was the perfect DJ/MC for our night!
Michael and his assistant DJ Adrian both did a fantastic job with the music at our wedding. Our reception was a total of 8 hours, but the time Michael and his team spent with us was much longer than what we merely booked for music. They were very professional and went above and beyond examining our venue and ensured that an echo-y room (which we were quite nervous about!) had crystal clear music by the end of it. Michael especially went out of his way meeting with us in advance and making sure we got exactly the music we wanted. He was also vital in making sure that our reception --planned very quickly, and out of state, with many last minute surprises-- went smoothly. Our minds were going a mile a minute that day, but when we saw our video recently, with the guests dancing, and everyone having a great time--we knew we made the right the choice with Michael :) :)
There are not enough words to describe how amazing DJ Micheal did at our apple orchard wedding earlier this month. Right from the start at the ceremony, up to the very end ( playing mine and my best friends song bohemian rhapsody) every song was perfectly placed. I received messages the day after from friends talking about how much they loved the music! The dance floor was filled all night and he gives so much attention to every detail on the wedding day! It's been 2 weeks and my dad still can't stop talking about how much he loved that the music played was fun for all ages. Michael was responsive, engaged, and truly "got us" as a couple. He completely understood what we envisioned for our wedding and didn't try to upsell our low key style on any additional packages or lighting that we weren't interested in. He truly knows his stuff, has been in the business for a long time and can help you out if you are feeling overwhelmed with all of the music options and choices you have to make. On top being truly wonderful at what he does, he's a great guy that we enjoyed spending time with and getting to know! Can't beat that.

We had DJ Tim for our wedding and we simply cannot say enough about how amazing the whole experience was from beginning to end. As soon as we met we knew he would be a perfect fit for our big day. He took the time to meet with us beforehand to go over the specifics of what we wanted. He played the guitar for our procession, first dance, and while the guests were eating dinner. He kept the dance floor full all night with our selection as well as all the wedding classics. Start to finish a very professional service- we were beyond thrilled with DJ Tim's service with MRK Entertainment. He kept our guests dancing all night and really catered to everyone's musical taste. What a wonderful experience. We had a low key wedding of "only" around 75 guest, with a mix of ages from 3 to 80s+. We did not come in with a set list of music, and our taste are all over the board. We were able to give some examples of songs we liked and he captured that in a mix of songs that we recognized and appreciated on our busy day. At the same time he was able to fit in some request from the teens there, so everyone hit the dance floor at one time or another and had a great time. The emo 12 and 13 year olds even commented to their parents that the wedding was "not that bad". Not sure there is a better endorsement than that!
The lighting was just right for our event. Being a more casual event, there was some LED lighting that highlighted the location we chose. He had some fun dance floor lighting, without being over-bearing.
Not only was the music superb, but he helped keep us on track for our schedule as well. He was completely and wholly invested in making our day the best possible and the casual seriousness with which he applied his services to our day made our wedding that much more enjoyable.
I would recommend him to anyone!
DJ Adrian Matos was absolutely amazing. We talked with a few DJs prior to meeting them but didn't really feel over the top excited about them. Once we sat down with Michael and Adrian we knew we had to go with them. My husband and I didn't really know what exactly we wanted, and Michael helped us plan the night. Adrian had the dance floor filled the entire night! Everyone one had so much fun because of his excitement and energy. He was able to keep all the groomsmen in line as well (a feet in itself). We couldn't be more happy with how the night went off and Adrian and Michael were amazing every step of the way.
If you want your guests to keep dancing the whole night and for your guests to tell you that your wedding was "the best reception ever!", you have to hire DJ Michael. He gets to know you in the planning process, so he knows exactly what you want for your big day. Once it's time for the reception, you won't worry about a thing.
We chose the gold package for our wedding and he transformed a blank canvas into a work of art with his lighting. It was absolutely beautiful! He also created a backdrop for our sweetheart table and it made such a difference with our photos.

DJ Michael really went above and beyond with his knowledge and service during our planing process. His expertise with the sound system and what was needed for our crowd size was spot on! Our reception was around 100 people, so he suggested the right system for us, but has bigger or smaller systems to fit each group. He had backup plans for every situation that could go wrong. (song lists, speakers, etc.) He was flexible with our request, had lots of helpful advise for the flow of events, and had our guest dancing throughout the night!
Michael is very professional and knowledgeable. He does excellent lighting and a very clean set up. On top of providing us with great mc skills, great lighting and fun music he also took almost 200 very good quality photos for us which was a great surprise! I highly recommend booking him for your Maine wedding!

This past May I planned and executed my baby sister's wedding to the love of her life on last minutes notice due to our mother falling terminally ill. After planning a huge wedding down here in Texas, we had to turn around and prep a new wedding up North with only 3 weeks notice in my parent's backyard so mom would be able to see prior to passing.
For all I know about party and event planning in Dallas, trying to plan this event in a city where I didn't know any vendors was terrifying! I was lucky to get a recommendation to Michael from fellow vendors in the area and could not be more pleased!
Not only did we get lucky he was available on short notice, using Skype, we were able to discuss specifics and setup everything from the walk down the isle through the reception exit. When we got into town, he came out the day prior to the wedding to scope the yard and establish a setup and lighting.
The day of was incredibly smooth. He came in, set up and started the music without needing any assistance from me as I dealt with other wedding vendors and family. All I can say is Thank You Thank you for doing what you do so well and making a difficult situation the happy and joyous day it should be for my sister, her sweet husband and our family.
I am happy to be writing this review about Michael. He is an awesome and charismatic personality. From the get go, you'll learn that he pays attention to details that’ll make your event flow smoothly. You’ll also be amazed at what he's aware of during consultation sessions. I don't know how many times my partner and I looked at each other and said, "I never would have thought of that." He schedules regular meetings, arrives at your venue early, and offers his assistance in ordinary duties like picking up trash and rearranging silverware so everything and every moment looks spectacular. Tie these with his ability to keep your dance floor moving and you'd realize he’s a gem! He even offers a free wedding planner. Overall, I consider him to be worth every penny he costs, and clearly I find his approach at winning his clients’ trust very unique.

MRK entertainment was THE WHOLE package for our wedding, he had really helpful suggestions during the planning process, was very responsive to any questions i had and the flow of our day was just perfect. My wonderful husband hired these guys to come all the way to our wedding because a friend of mine used them and they were so good. I love him for this! They really are the best. They have the most professional equipment. Their services are guaranteed as well, so there's no risk at all. We went with the diamond package and WOW WOW WOW. Side note - My daughter is now BEGGING my husband to hire this crew for a school dance. Back to the wedding. Their diamond package is SO AFFORDABLE. I'm not sure, but I think they own their equipment, so they don't pass on equipment rental fees to the client. That is a HUGE price difference. We had 6 hours of non-stop music, lights and fun. 34,000 Songs to choose from, Spot Light Grand Entrance, Wireless Microphones, Dancing on the Clouds and a ton of fun. There was so much more. I just wanted to say I am so happy. They made my day so special. Thank you for going to all the trouble to make my day perfect.
My husband and I interviewed a number of DJ companies, and we really clicked the most with Michael at M.R.K. Entertainment. He has the personality, the experience, and understood what we wanted; a party that wouldn't stop with music that fit our style. He knows a lot about reading a crowd and playing things to cater to a wide variety of tastes. He definitely cares about creating a custom experience for each Bride and Groom, and the questions he asked us on the way to our wedding day showed that. He was really one of our most thoughtful vendors, and he really helped us with the planning process and was very organized.
We used his DJ service, as well as some lovely uplighting (we went with pink, which looked beautiful!) and a monogram on the wall behind the sweetheart table, which my husband wasn't on board with until he saw it. It looked great. We got a lot of compliments on how gorgeous our venue looked, and I attribute much of that to the extra touches we got.
The DJ service on the day of the wedding was outstanding. He remained organized and kept things together. He communicated well with the venue, got set up on time, and confirmed the schedule with the venue coordinator, and made sure the flow of the evening was right. This kept me relaxed and having fun. He saw what people were feeling and what they weren't, and he kept everyone on their feet without being cheesy. He was on point with timing, and not for a moment did I stop having fun on the dance floor to think of a single thing he could have done better.
I've already recommended him to two friends of mine that are engaged and planning weddings! I hope they pick him, because I'd love to go to a wedding he's Djing as a guest!

We had a wedding by the water in a beautiful military bunker and fort. We needed a DJ who could look the part and walk the walk. We’re so happy we found DJ Michael and the M.R.K.Entertainment staff. They respected and welcomed our thoughts and ideas for a perfect wedding day. Working with them, we felt as though were were the center of attention and DJ Michael listened to the smallest of details.
DJ Michael met with us several time and discussed our event. He kept detailed notes and pointed out or “to do” list with due dates. Thank you Michael for keeping us on track and focused; it’s easy to get lost in the details. Michael also pointe out the concerns about power, and most importantly, how people move in and out of a venue or rooms. We had serval rooms with different events in each and Michael was critical in making sure guest moved in a timely manner, all while not feeling pressured or pushed.
Michael’s mixing skill, song selection and energy brought amazing life to our dance portion of the night. He had my guest yelling when he played a song I would have easily over looked. That said, he also played my entire playlist! Michael took our request and compiled a playlist for the entire day. He’s like an Apple Genius in iTunes!
Don’t let me understate the AMAZING lighting system. BUY THE GOLD PACKAGE! He accented the room with my wedding colors and projected our name in lights too!

He went above and beyond by interacting and coordinating with the other vendors to make sure our wedding day ran successfully. If you want a wedding with a fun reception and a full dance floor, look at this guy. He's well worth it.

We hired DJ Michael for our recent wedding. I was absolutely pleased with Michael's professional manner during the entire process from start to finish. Unlike other DJ's I've used in the past, Michael wanted to know the details of our wedding, from the entrances to the last dance. We described the types of music we wanted and the specific songs we wanted to play for our first dance and parents dances. During the wedding he played to the room, which is the most important part of a wedding. If you have a DJ that can not read the crowd than you have a dead dance floor, and nobody wants to remember their wedding that way. The DJ did a great job with our wedding. He kept the dance floor going all night long. He was always willing to meet and discuss any ideas or concerns we might have. His website was very well laid out and had a lot of non-DJ service lists for us to use in our planning. He was also willing to travel to our ceremony site just to run music prior to the ceremony. His lighting and the Gobo that he helped get for us really made our reception a hit. We couldn't have asked for more from our DJ and his staff.
My fiancée and I contacted Michael Kennedy for dj services for our wedding. We met with him a couple of times. He was extremely polite, professional, and came up with many helpful ideas which went beyond the traditional dj role. Michael knows a great deal about lighting and has high end equipment that he used to transform our space into a premier wedding venue!!! Our guests loved the lights and so did we!!!! We loved the uplighting, the dance floor lights, and most of all the music!!! He played all of our songs, and kept everyone on the dance floor!!! DJ Michael provided awesome services for our April 2014 wedding! Leading up to the wedding, we met several times to ensure that he knew what we were looking for in music and lighting and to help us plan out our day. He had lots of good advice even beyond the music and lighting, which was much appreciated. He had a planning site available, and we could log in from home to add information about our timeline and music requests (including "do not play" requests).
The day of the wedding could not have been better! The lighting was AMAZING, and we heard that people outside of the venue were noticing. DJ Michael did a great job matching the lighting with each part of the wedding, from cocktail hour to dinner to "party time". He played all of the music we requested and otherwise did a great job mixing it up so that all of our guests could enjoy the party. People danced all night!
In the end, we would DEFINITELY recommend DJ Michael and M.R.K. Entertainment for DJ and lighting services!
Michael did an excellent job with no only the DJing but also the lighting at our wedding. It was excellent what we had asked for and at a very reasonable price!
We used Mr. Kennedy for our wedding reception as our DJ and to coordinate all of the venue's lighting, as it was pretty much a blank slate. We really couldn't have been happier with him and he gave us a night that everyone who attended will always remember. Right from the start, Mr. Kennedy made himself so available to us and we met several times in person and corresponded frequently over the phone and email. Everything was always comfortable and he really took to heart all of our input. The music for the evening was very tailored to us, as he went out of his way to involve us in every step of the planning. He's got a great eye for the flow of an event and he managed to keep everyone on the dance floor all night long with excellent transitions. I've been to weddings where the DJ just couldn't do that and it killed the mood, but Mr. Kennedy kept the floor alive and our guests very happy. His lighting was spectacular and when dusk arrived, he totally transformed our venue into something even high-end clubs would envy. I can't tell you how many comments we've received from our guests regarding how amazing everything looked. To top that off, everything was very affordable and a great value for all we received (we had him for about 9 hours). From start to finish, my experience with Mr. Kennedy has been that he's a great guy and is incredibly professional and passionate about what he does. We'd hire him again and again for future events and really couldn't have asked for anything more. I'd give him six stars if it were possible.

He did an amazing job with the lighting, we were so impressed with that, He did great running our reception so we did not have to worry what was happening next! We were very pleased with his services! A+ job!!!
