SCAM!!! BEWARE! Please do not book with him! He should not have the privilege of continuing to work in this field knowing he scams people out of their money, lies straight to their face and then completely ghosts them without fulfilling a SIGNED contract! I wouldn’t want anyone to experience what my husband and I experienced on the most important day of our lives. We trusted Ruben. At first he seemed charismatic and genuine. We had our engagement shoot and he made us feel comfortable and sent us our photos within a few days, which is why we didn’t notice any red flags until it was too late. We paid $3,000 for photos, 3 custom videos, wedding album with 10 additional pages and an external hard drive. Out of everything we paid for, we only received the photos. After receiving the photos, Ruben completely stopped replying to all of our emails, calls, texts and Instagram DMs. My wedding was back in September 2021 and to this day I have not received anything else from what was in our signed contract. He asked us to pay him the full amount the day of the wedding, which was a mistake. We completely trusted him and I now have to live with the fact that those memories are lost forever. I feel completely betrayed and I wish I would have paid extra to book someone who was more experienced, reliable and professional. Ruben is completely unprofessional and immature. I would have preferred if he was honest with us and admitted that he was unable to edit the videos or if he told us it was going to take him longer than expected to complete. I would have totally understood. Heck, at this point I would have been happy with simply receiving the raw video footage. But the fact that he stopped communicating completely was very infuriating and immature of him. I honestly don’t know how someone can live with themselves knowing they literally steal people’s money and betray their trust. I am so disappointed and I do not wish this upon anyone else. Please save yourself the heartache and book with anyone besides him. Read the other reviews and you will see that this isn’t an isolated situation. He has done this to many others and unfortunately has gotten away with it. He should be out of business by now! My husband and I will be taking him to small claims court to at least get our money back because what he did was unforgivable and unfair! I hope no one else has to experience this.

Ruben had terrible communication and red flags from soon after signing the contract, but unfortunately it was already finalized. He would go days or weeks without responding to messages and claim he didn't see them. I made the mistake of hiring him for another small job prior to our wedding, I figured it would be easier than finding another photographer, I was wrong. He had to make a last minute schedule change that messed up that shoot. The bad experiences continued well past our wedding. He informed me 3 days before our wedding that the 2nd photographer we paid for was unavailable, and he would refund me for the extra paid for that. Our wedding was 2 months ago and he still has not refunded it, and is now ignoring ALL messages to him. He also has not delivered on all items in our wedding package. He has scammed us out of money, and we are now looking into legal action. Please save yourself the headache and avoid this man!!!

Ruben was absolutely awesome! He made my husband and I feel so relaxed and comfortable. We aren’t the type of people who like having our photos taken let alone pose for them and Ruben did an excellent job with us. We got all of our photos and I mean every photo, less than 2 weeks after the wedding. We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer or a better price! Thank you Ruben!!

BEWARE!!!! After paying in full for our videos and photography he has not responded and it’s been 5 months since he shot our wedding. Countless messages, texts, DM’s and he walked away with our money. DO NOT BOOK!!!!! I WILL UPDATE MY REVIEW WHEN I GET MY VIDEOS

Just disappointing. Beware of this vendor. My wife left a positive comment here before all the issues started, so I’m here to leave a review that more accurately reflects the outcome of choosing this photographer. Wedding was in July 2021. Our package included an engagement photoshoot, wedding photography, and a wedding videographer. Note: This vendor was PAID IN FULL for all services. Engagement shoot was ok, photos were delivered. It took a little while to have the touch-ups done, but no problem. Communication definitely is an issue with Ruben. We had to send multiple emails/texts to follow-up on things. Day of the wedding, things went fine. Ruben and a second photographer and the videographer were there. No problems. It took about 2 months for the wedding photos to come in. They looked good (reason why I didn't leave 1 star). We inquired multiple times, from October to December, about when the wedding album (written in contract) and the wedding video (written in contract) would be ready. We were told they would be ready and in the mail in December. We haven’t heard back to this day 2/25/22. His voicemail was full so I couldn’t leave a message. We’ve tried calling again, text, email, social media. No response. **We have not received our wedding video or the wedding album**. All those happy moments we hoped we could watch again and again, we will never be able to do. Ruben walked away with our money and did not deliver as contractually obligated.

Do not recommend. Horrible communication and unprofessional. Always had an excuse as to why he couldn't communicate. Worst of all, we paid for him to do our wedding and sent his assistant whom I had never heard of or seen their work. We paid a lot of money for not so great pictures. We'll never get our wedding day back and its unfortunate how it all went down. He breached his own contract by double booking our wedding day. No offer to make things right or refund anything. Small claims court is calling my name for the breach of contract.

We booked Ruben for our wedding which is later this year but we had our engagement shoot and I couldn’t wait to give him a good review. He was very kind and personable. My fiancé is pretty introverted and he made him feel comfortable right away. I always thought my pics would look awkward but he told us to act natural and he would do the work. I had a mountain shoot and the pictures are beautiful!! Thank you Ruben! Can’t wait for you to capture my big day!

Ruben is the man!! If y’all want quality look no further. My fiancé and I are very pleased with our engagement photos and we can’t wait to see our wedding pictures!!

I decided to book with Ruben because when he showed me his sample wedding video, I enjoyed it and liked it. But when I received my wedding video over 2 months later, it was very amateur. So he said he would redo it. My wedding was in November and it is now April and I haven’t received a video. He has ignored all messages I’ve sent to him and not communicating with me. Very unprofessional.

Ruben was a fantastic photographer to work with! We had an interracial (Brown and Asian) wedding, and he was incredibly accommodating to our needs and produced absolutely beautiful pictures of our wedding day. I would highly recommend him and plan on using him when we're in LA for other special events!

Ruben's artistic eye helped create the magic we expected for our daughter's Quincenera. He helped us capture some of the most important moments and some we never expected to see. He is very professional, honest and with such a positive personally that he made a full day of photo's fun and not exhausting! It was a pleasure to work with him, we highly recommend him! I had the pleasure of working with Ruben on our surprise proposal. He was very professional and helped me find the perfect location and time for the sunset. He made me feel comfortable even though I was stressed out, and he also provided a videographer who captured the whole proposal.Ruben was extremely professional and edited many pictures by the next day. Soon after we received all the pictures and they came out amazing. Highly recommend him for any occasion!

Ruben was an amazing photographer to work with. He was easy going and professional, which is great for what can be a stressful day. He documented our whole destination wedding weekend in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico with so much care and attention from detail shots, to portraits, and even amazing drone shots! We’re so happy to have his beautiful pictures to remember our special day and time with our family and friends.
