MTC DJ Service

Michael did a great job from the music being played to keeping the crowd entertained! He really helped us with advisement of what we wanted and how it would flow nicely at the reception. The ceremony music and sound system he brought to our wedding was awesome.

Our experience with MTC DJ Service was very mixed. Upon booking with Mike 18 months in advance of our June 30th wedding, we were very excited as he seemed like a great fit. Things were quiet for a while since we were so far in advance of our date, but then about 3 months before our wedding, we reached out to Mike to talk logistics: song choices, where he'd be setting up, what time he would arrive, etc. This proved to be one of the most frustrating interactions we've ever had with a professional. We called/texted/emailed Mike several times with no response. After finally getting ahold of him, (which took many weeks of tries) he finally answered his phone and told us he had a scheduling error and that he had booked another wedding on the same day as ours that would be much more complicated and needed more of his attention. He told us he had a guy (Jon) who he contracted with that would do our wedding, to which we said that would be fine, as long as he provided us with three professional references and then gave us a chance to decide if we wanted him or Mike. Mike seemed fine with this. A week goes by, we hear nothing of the references we requested. Another week goes by, still nothing. Finally, a month before our wedding, we finally are put in contact with some references. Two of them were personal friends of Jon (not exactly unbiased) and the other was a venue. It was getting close to our wedding and we didn't have time to find another DJ, so we said fine, we will use Jon. At this point we were very disappointed in Mike, mostly in how poorly he communicated with us. On multiple occasions he assumed we would be ok with things that were not communicated to us. As it turns out, having Jon DJ our wedding was the best blessing in disguise we could have had. Jon was so professional. He came to our rehearsal dinner, listened to what we wanted and had a great presence at our wedding. I highly recommend booking directly through Jon and avoiding working with Mike if possible.

Michael was great! He kept the wedding moving along - all the guests loved him and the music he was playing! We had a large wedding of around 200 people and everyone left having danced the night away! He also accommodated a special Ariel photo my best friend was able to take for us, we couldn't believe how quickly he gathered everyone! Excellent pricing would call him again for any event!

After meeting with Michael a few times to go over our wedding plan and being assured that he loved to get the crowd going, i was confident that this was going to be a great wedding. I enjoyed that he offered a client area on his website where we could enter songs that we like and wished he would play for certain areas of the wedding i.e. cake cutting, shot/dollar dance, etc. However, he was slow to answer any email that i sent and definitely did not get the crowd dancing. I was disappointed that songs we had requested weren't played and instead other songs were played in their place. This is far better than other occurrences that happened which i won't mention out of respect. For the affordable price we paid i suppose we got what we paid for but as a bride, i was expecting much more.
