Out of all the hotels I’ve stayed in I think municipal grand has been my favorite. Our king room was very clean. I always check the mattress and behind the head of the mattress and this was the most clean hotel room I’ve ever stayed in! This ro...
om was cleaner than other boutique hotels and even high end hotels so shout out to the cleaning team. I also want to say thank you for using mattress protectors!! This is a huge deal to me because pest are inevitable with high traffic cities and it allows me as the guest to check for them and to assess for room cleanliness. I also want to give a shout out to Candela the front desk supervisor. She is lovely. She answered all my questions, was so kind, and so patient. She deserves all the praise (and maybe a raise idk) she goes above and beyond and is a wonderful first impression and face of municipal grand. I have no doubt that if we ran in to any problems during our stay she would have addressed them immediately in a prompt and professional manner. We enjoyed our stay, keep up the good work :)

This hotel is beautifully designed, the decor is gorgeous. I've stayed in a lot of nice hotels and the Municipal has great lighting. The staff were all very friendly and helpful from the moment we pulled up to valet to the nice attendant at th...
e beautiful roof top pool and also the front desk staff were all very helpful. It's a higher end hotel but you get what you pay for and you can't beat the location. Also the rooms were quiet

I had a nearly perfect stay at The Municipal Grand in Savannah for my birthday weekend. The hotel is conveniently loacated, loved the smooth checkin with a courtesy drink on tap. Super cute room key set up.
The room itself was top-notch. The b...
ed was incredibly comfortable (once we got it sorted—more on that below), and I loved the thoughtful tech touches like the Bluetooth speaker and in-room iPad for ordering room service and hospitality requests. The in-room bar and snack selection were beyond spectacular—honestly one of the best I’ve seen. Little details like the night light attached to the bed, the beautiful lighting fixtures and switches, plush robes, and even umbrellas provided made the stay feel elevated and well-considered.
The bathroom was also a standout. Loved the in-room bathtub (it was actually IN the room and not in the bathroom - seemed weird at first, but then it was actually kind of nice). Ample storage space, which made it easy for two people to settle in comfortably.
A couple of small misses kept it from being truly flawless. The carpet on our floor could have used a vacuum, which stood out given how polished everything else was. Also, the room initially came with only two pillows, which felt like an odd oversight for an upscale hotel. We tried to make it work but ended up requesting two more—and once we did, sleep was perfect. I’d definitely suggest starting with four pillows as standard. Similarly, the TV felt a bit too small for the otherwise luxurious setup.
Love the street level bar. However, the "speakeasy" downstairs was a huge miss. It's just a downstairs bar - low lighting and loud music. We left before ordering and walked a few blocks to a super nice bar. The lobby bar/restaurant was elegant and the bartender was professional and courteous. The overall decor leans into an upscale, old-world feel—elegant and refined without being pretentious.
Even with those minor issues, I would absolutely return. It’s clear this hotel is aiming for a high-end experience and largely succeeds—it just needs a bit more consistency in the finer details to fully match its vision. They get a 93%.

Incredible stay. From the kind gals at the front desk to the beautiful design and genuinely fun bartenders (shout out to Brayden), everything was exceptional. The room was spotless, and as someone who notices details, this place is full of them...
. All around the vibes are just spot on.
From the lighting and room keys to the coasters and shower tile, every detail feels thoughtful and intentional. It’s incredibly well executed. Some friends and I are already planning another trip to Savannah just so we can stay here again. The Death & Co crew absolutely killed it.

We had the best girls trip staying at Municipal Grand. I stayed in the large king suite, and it ended up being the perfect gathering spot for our group — spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room for everyone to relax and get ready together...
without feeling crowded.
The hotel itself is stunning. We loved the thoughtful nods to its historic bank roots paired with beautifully curated design details throughout. The craft cocktail welcome drinks were such a fun, elevated touch and really set the tone for the weekend.
We enjoyed drinks at Hot Eye and drinks and apps at Municipal Bar — both were fantastic. Service was excellent across the board, and the food and beverage program did not disappoint. The rooftop views were gorgeous (even if it wasn’t quite warm enough for a swim!), and the location is unbeatable for exploring the historic district on foot. In a city with so many hotel options, this one truly stands out.
