The venue and location alone are absolutely lovely but the staff and day of coordinator is what sets this place as top notch!
From the moment I walked on property I knew that this is where I wanted to get married. Murrieta's Well is absolutely breathtaking. From the outdoor ceremony space, to the lighting, and the most amazing barrel room, we still to this day receive so many compliments about how beautiful the venue and reception were. They were so organized and took care of everything! Planning a wedding from across the country was a challenge, but with the help of our coordinator, Nadine from Wente, it was so incredibly easy. She was with us every step of the way. I knew that everything was going to be well taken care of. She went above and beyond to make sure that our wedding was the most magical and memorable day ever.
We had a perfect wedding at Murrieta's Well. The venue is beautiful. The planning process was very smooth with the sale coordinator. Our assigned day of coordinator was amazing in ensuring things flowed smoothly during the event. In addition, the wine is amazing!
Our wedding at Murrieta's Well was a dream come true. The entire planning process run by Wente made us feel special and and ease, the expertise of our coordinator Georgine Dreiman was a huge help, and Kayla, Kristen and the wait staff were amazing on the day of. I have never felt more like a princess, and my mother and I were able to relax and enjoy the entire day because we knew everything was under control.
Not only was the venue itself absolutely gorgeous, but the way everything came together with the decor, and how well our ideas and requests were listened to really made the entire experience magical.
Our guests could not stop raving about the food and how absolutely delicious it was. And we just love that we chose a place that we can go back to for years to come, sip some wine, and remember our special day.
I can't thank Georgine, Kayla, and Kristen enough for all of their guidance and support, and for making me feel like such a special bride. My husband was completely thrilled and felt special too - they didn't leave him out for a second!
I would highly recommend Murrieta's Well for wine tasting or a wedding venue - the atmosphere is just the perfect mixture of cozy and chic - it will forever be one of our very favorite places to visit.
An amazing venue. Not only is it picturesque, the wine is some of the best in Livermore and the food was delicious. To top it all off, they also took our wedding on 3 days notice (they had a cancellation) when we had to move our wedding from Napa due to the fires. It also helped that they provided a lot of the basic things (tables, table clothes, glasses, etc.) so we didn't need to also move all of our rentals too. Jeff was great to work with and the whole staff were wonderful - they made it easy and (relatively!) stress free to put together an incredible day. While I don't know how the original venue would have turned out, I think Murrieta's Well was probably even better!
I HIGHLY recommend Murrieta's Well for your wedding or any other special event! I was one of the first weddings after their 2016 renovation. It is absolutely stunning and the staff there are spot on. Nadine, our wedding coordinator made sure every detail was accounted for and executed. I couldn't have been more pleased with our wedding day! The food was also a huge hit. We still have guests calling us and telling us how much they enjoyed the pork chop and pan seared salmon! The new chandeliers and farmhouse chairs make the reception room inviting and elegant while still keep the vineyard feel.
The most beautiful place to get married! As soon as we went to the venue we fell in love, I knew the first time we went we had to get married there. It was so private and peaceful, we didn't have any problems with people trying to look at our wedding because its not near anything else. The coordinators are so helpful in the planning process it was great. Oh and the food the day of the wedding was unbelievably good!
My husband and I wanted a relax and chill wedding. We are avid wine drinkers and has been going to a couple of wineries in the area for wine tasting and Murrietta's Well really hit the spot. It has the privacy that we wanted and the rustic vibe. We choose to have the ceremony on the patio facing the grapevine as I came out of the big doors. We had the Cocktail hour at the upper balcony where guests was able to see the front area and some more grapevines. We had the dinner and dancing inside the barrell room. It wasn't too bright and wasn't too dark either. The tiny lights along the posts and the wine barrels on the side gave a nice relaxed ambiance.
The service was phenomenal. All the staff were so nice to the guests and was able to do all the guests requested. I had a lot of compliments from my guests.
The Wedding Coordinator and the Day-Of Coordinator are fabulous. They were able to do everything that I wanted even to the smallest details. I love how they really keep in mind what you really want and they also have good ideas/suggestions.
The Cake was included in the Catering that goes with the venue. There Pastry department really nailed the cake that my husband and I envisioned. My husband even said "This is our cake"
The food and drinks was wonderful as always. Every guests loved everything. From the appetizers to the salad to the main dish to the late night snack. They also loved the wines and the mocktails.
Over all this place/catering/staff never failed.
The venue was beautiful and our wedding planner was amazing. Had a problem with some of the day of staff. but the food and wine were fantastic. Our guests raved!
Murrieta's Well was the perfect venue for my wedding. The grounds are quaint and beautiful for a smaller wedding. The food catered by Wente is top notch, and it is apparent why the majority of the cost goes towards the food. My husband and I love the rustic yet chic feel of the winery and the wine is amazing. Georgie, the main coordinator at Wente is great. Being an anxious, worried bride there was never a time she wouldn't help me or make reccommendations to ease my mind. One thing I will say to brides looking into Murrieta's- be aware that you will be pressed for time with your photographer. Weddings there start at 6pm, meaning you will have almost NO natural lighting after the ceremony to take photos. My husband and I did not want to see eachother before the ceremony intially, but were forced to bc of the time constraint. In order to get all of the formal and fun pictures with the wedding party, we were forced to do 90% of the photos before the ceremony. Looking back on it, we were glad we did see eachother before the ceremony to calm our nerves.
We just got married on September 9th, and Murrieta's Well and the Wente staff surpassed our expectations for 100 guest in every way. The venue was intimate, beautiful and rustic and the food was amazing. All of our guests raved that it was the best wedding food they'd ever had...the pork chop was the crowd favorite. I worked with Georgie Unwin for planning all of the details then Sara Wendt for the rehearsal and day of. Both women were fantastic, well organized and responsive. Everything went smoothly, and the value was great compared to other venues in the Bay Area especially for the beauty of the place, the caliber of the food and the great staff. I highly recommend having your wedding or special event at Murrieta's Well!
As the sister vineyard of Murrieta's Well this service, quality and overall experience was fabulous! The vineyard provides a rustic, chic vibe while still providing exquisite food, wine and cake.
We LOVED having our wedding here and recommend it to anyone looking for something similar!
Murrieta's Well was beautiful. They made the plannning process very easy and worked with us the entire way through. When we showed up for the rehearsal and met our day of coordinator, she told us we could not actually rehearse inside (we had planned the wedding inside from the beginning) because they were setting up for an event. She thought we'd already been told. We agreed to be quick and were able to go in and do the rehearsal, she was very helpful and everything went smoothly.
The next day, my photographer showed up around noon and said that they had stopped by the venue and there was another event going on in the barrel room until 5 (our wedding was at 5:30, our first busload was set to show up at 5.
I'd talked to the planner a week or so earlier, when I saw the forcasted rain and asked if she had suggestions of where to take indoor pictures and was told there were plenty of places at the Well. We showed up around 2:45 (though, admittedly, our contract said 3:30) for pictures to a full parking lot and dozens of people. My photographer and maid of honor went in to talk to them and learned that they had double booked the venue and got them to close the event at 4pm so that they would have time to finish setting up for our wedding. It was lucky we showed up early, after all this, we started our pictures at 3:30. My husband and I decided to see eachother before the event and, with the weather, were stuck doing our "first look" moment, surrounded by drunk strangers watching. I was really looking forward to this moment, and hated that everyone else got to be part of it.
After this, everything went very smoothly. They apologized for all the miscommunication among their teams and for double booking the venue, both during the event and after.
The food was amazing, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I had a hard time deciding what to rate because they were very apologetic about everything and the venue was amazing. Our guests had a great time and did not notice the glitches.
I believe this was a singular event and not indicative of most events at MW.
Anyone looking for attention to detail, superb food and wine, and a quaint romantic place to get together with friends and family for a wedding then this is the place.
We could not be happier with how our 84 guest wedding turned out this past September.
Everyone has complimented us on the food, the cake, the wine, and the service provided by Murrieta's Well through Wente.
Tricia Craig, Dana and the team at Murrieta's Well were amazing! Tricia helped plan the event through out the year and was always available to answer any questions I had. Tricia ensured the transition from her to Dana was seemless and nothing was missed! Dana did a great day coordianting the wedding on the day of. Everything flowed well and the venue was beautiful! My husband and I got more than we had hoped for!
We just had our wedding here May, 1, 2011. PERFECT weather. Vines blooming, and food was delicious.
Thank you to Arlene, our day of coordinator for setting up my things exactly as planned. She was so nice to all of us= A+++. Arlene you are fabulous, and if anyone wants someone organized and so kind, ask for her!
Thank you, Tricia, for putting up with all my thoughts, phone calls, and emails on setting up and the hundreds of other things I contacted you about. You have alot of patience, and everything went perfectly.
Thank you, to Rick (Joel Nelson Productions) for your professionalism and kindness.
and Thank you to Bruce (Black Sky Limo) for accomodating our schedule and giving us the best and fair price. I will be referring others to you!
Pastry Chef Kim, you...are...wonderful. My dream cake was perfection and a work of art. Thank you!
Venue was for 100 and fit everyone perfectly. Lighting was so romatic, and the staff was so patient. Wente caters it and you cant go wrong!
The prices for this venue are hard to beat and you get absolute beauty in the valley of Livermore.
Staff was professional, friendly, helpful and very accessible. They were able to understand and predict our needs. Even though we had multiple people in charge throughout the process, it ran smooth. Also it is just a BEAUTIFUL location. The food was AMAZING! Really the only 2 things that were minor annoyances were, one, there is no place to get ready there, and two, it closes too early! We had such a lovely, lovely, wonderful wedding thanks to Murrieta's!
Oh and we are a lesbian couple and it was NEVER an issue and we were treated with respect and kindness. No one even blinked and it felt genuine.
My husband and I were married at Murrieta's Well in September of 08. We still get compliments from friends on both the beautiful location and the incredible food. THe venue holds about 100 guests so it was perfect for our intimate wedding. They do require that you use Wente catering, which is pricey, since MW is owned by Wente. However, the food and wine are top notch and the wedding cake is included! We did end up spending a little more that we planned, but everything was perfect. The service was wonderful. We were able to arrange almost everything with our Wente provided wedding consultant online. If you are looking for a small to medium venue with lovely views and excellent food and wine, this is the place for you!!!
I had my wedding at Murrieta's Well on April 17, 2010!
It was so beautiful and exceeded my expectations! The property is amazing and provides for an intimate setting. The staff was attentive and the overall experience of planning a wedding here was incredible.
We were married on the lower patio, had cocktail hour on the upper patio & had our dinner and reception in the barrel room with the doors open so guests could dance inside and outside.
I had kind of an "off-beat" wedding, and was suprised that they were so willing to accommodate my crazy ideas. They allowed me to have games (Crouqet & Bocce), hula hoops, etc. set up on the lawn... They allowed me to have my dog there (which was a big deal for me because I couldn't get married without him and many places don't allow pets) and they delivered when it came to my vision of "chic BBQ" style.
The food was delicious!
Instead of a cake from them (Which is included in your package), we went with a dessert buffet which was oh so yummy.
The months leading up to the wedding were made a bit less stressful because we worked with the great people at the catering office.
We were able to store all of our decor and wedding items there and they delivered them on the day of the wedding and helped set them up.
They really helped with the step by step process of planning a wedding and made sure I kept focused and on track.
When you first see the amount you will pay, it might seem like a lot but, if you break it down, you actaully are getting quite a deal. Everything was included such as rental fee, food, beverages, cake, linens... And you even get a day of coordinator!
I would highly recommend Murrieta's Well!
Perfect romantic ambiance. Good location for something 'different'.;Would recommend 100 people or less. No bridal dressing room.
