with another client and until the 3rd artist in the room took note at how long I was waiting and double checked my name in the system. She then told my artist that I was her client. My artist said she didn’t know she had another client. I didn’t get in the chair until the time my appointment was supposed to end. I had booked this as a luxury for myself to feel good at my baby shower. By the time I got seated I had 20 minutes until I had to leave to make it to my shower on time. I had allotted an hour originally. Luckily my husband brought my outfit and I changed in the car. The artist kept asking me if I had just booked that morning and said I would get a discount. As I was now getting a rushed 15-20 minutes of makeup when I booked an hour. The make up turned out great but we had to skim down to the essentials and I eventually just had to say I have to be in the car in 5 minutes. When we got to the register, the artist said she didn’t know how to work the system or do a discount so I’d have to pay full price but she even wrote down my number so she could ensure I would get a discount. At that point, I had NO idea what I would end up paying for this service and was only given structured tip amounts based off the full hour service price, so in a panic and having no idea what I’d be paying, I didn’t tip. I felt terrible about it… but 2 weeks later I’m still charged the full hour glam amount and no one ever reached out. Great make up, terrible (nightmarish) experience. I don’t want to be dramatic, but I had no other plan B and was stuck once I was dropped off there. Instead of an exciting fun experience, I was stressed and miserable the entire time I was there.
