Tim was the absolute BEST DJ EVER!! We received SO MANY compliments from our guests at how well he did, how fun the music was and how lively the dancefloor was the entire evening. He truly did such a fantastic job with every little thing we requested and made the night unforgettable! I will never hire another entertainer besides Tim. He also is just such a sweet, down to earth, and genuinely nice person. I am so glad we used Music in Motion for our wedding! Tim's communication leading up to the event was PERFECT. He made sure everything was set beforehand, answered all of my questions SO promptly, wasn't overbearing, and just minutes before the night started he ran through the timeline of events again to ensure I was happy with everything. He is an amazing MC! You will NOT regret hiring Tim for whatever event you need!

Tim was absolutely amazing at our wedding this weekend. He was also the most attentive and communicative vendor that we had. He nailed all the song transitions (and songs that we wanted mixed/cut/looped etc...)! Literal perfection. Will be using his services if we ever need to in the future! We hired Music In Motion for our wedding, and what an amazing choice it was! MIM Owner, Tim, was consistently in contact with us over the course of the year we were under contract with him. Then for our event, we had DJ Jimmy and he absolutely killed it. Everyone loved the music and the dance floor was busy all night long! Cannot recommend Music In Motion enough!!

DJ Shav was OUTSTANDING. Everyone commented on how fun and engaging he was and not to mention the bangers he was playing! We partied on the dance floor all night!! Every direction I gave in my planning form was executed to a T! My father/daughter dance was a mash up between 3 songs and he blended them so perfectly. The night was truly unforgettable, and it was a big thanks to DJ Shav!!!

Jeff and Tim were absolutely amazing throughout the whole planning process up until the day of. Jeff, myself, and my husband connected very well and he was very in sync with our wants during our wedding. Tim was awesome! He was our dj for our wedding in April 2024. We didn’t give him much direction on what music to play but his playlist got everyone up and dancing!! Even the boring people who didn’t want to dance, got up and moving! Totally recommend music in motion!

Josh was our wedding dj and he was fantastic. He got everyone dancing , all ages of guests! The music was very much tailored to our group of people, and was a wonderful experience . We didn’t want it to end. He included some extra little games and opportunities for us to interact with our guests which helped make things more engaging. Wonderful job.

I couldn’t have asked for a better DJ than Tim Hicks. I saw amazing reviews about him, so we reached out to him and he only exceeded our expectations! He has a great spirit and is very genuine and fun! For example, he made a game out of guests from each table being called up to the dance floor to take pictures with us, and it was so much fun and guests loved it! It was such a creative idea to get pictures with all of our guests! Not only that, but he seamlessly transitioned between songs and all of our guests were dancing the entire night. We looked at many different companies and DJs, and hiring Music in Motion was best idea we had, especially because Tim set the tone for the whole evening and he provided such a fun and lovely night for myself and husband and all our guests. Tim was wonderful! My husband and I are thrilled we went with Music in Motion for our wedding. We got married at the Gardens of Woodstock, where Tim is a regular. DJ Rick and MC Josh delivered an absolutely exceptional experience to my husband and I on our wedding day and we are incredibly grateful to have worked with them. I would most certainly recommend them to other couples planning weddings in the near future. It was apparent to us that we were excited to work with Music in Motion from our initial meetings. We first met with Tim, who demonstrated a deep knowledge and intuition about weddings and music, was very professional and easy to work with. He later linked us up with our DJ Rick & MC Josh, who we also met closer to the wedding to finalize details. They both were very friendly, asked great questions and were genuine about getting to know us as a couple so that they could cater to our personalities and to our taste in music. It was clear at the wedding that they used that knowledge to keep the flow of the wedding moving with their own music selections during transitional periods and the reception. They allowed us to have freedom of making the song requests that we knew absolutely wanted to hear, but also did not require us to get over-involved with the setlist as they were intuitive to our tastes and expertly knew how to read the room and cater to our audience with exceptional timing. Rick & Josh also went above and beyond by doing things such as taking videos of our first dance and pictures throughout the party, bringing and maintaining such a positive energy and humor with all of our guests throughout the event, and lastly, taking the time to encourage our 9 year old daughter to perform a Frozen II song for all of the audience to hear, which will be a core memory from our wedding day. We could not have been happier with this team and the work that they did for us. We have also received overwhelming feedback from many of our family & friends that Rick & Josh was the best DJ/MC team that they have ever witnessed at any previous wedding experiences.

Music in Motion was overall a good DJ. I was disappointed that a few things were forgotten. Jimmy was our DJ & he was so very sweet. They did not do the bouquet toss like we asked which was a little frustrating. We had interaction with Tim at another wedding a few weeks later & was very disappointed in his performance towards us. He was not very professional. Overall, music in motion was good. Just need a bit more communication & professionalism.

Loved working with Tim and JD. Tim was very responsive and made the process of getting set up so easy. JD was our DJ and did an absolutely wonderful job! He checked in with us throughout the night to make sure we were happy and did such a good job engaging the crowd. I highly recommend them!

One of our biggest priorities for the day was making sure that our loved ones had the best time, and we felt that the music and DJ was obviously a huge piece in making that happen. We booked Music in Motion 2 years ago as we were planning a 2020 wedding, due to the pandemic we had to push the reception to 2021 and that whole time, Tim would reach out every few months to check in on us. It was honestly really appreciated as we booked them so long ago, he still kept his couples top of mind. Jimmy Styx was our assigned DJ and he was wonderful, so nice and professional. I gave him creative liberty to read the room/play what he thought would keep people dancing. I hope he had as good of a time as all my guests did. Nothing bad to say about this company. Price was reasonable too!

Tim was AMAZING! We honestly couldn't have asked for a better DJ! Our guests are still talking about how great he was and everyone was dancing all night. He listened to our requests and made sure he read the crowd. He took suggestions from guests and played off what everyone wanted to hear. We are very happy we've hired Music in Motion. The moment we spoke with Tim, we knew we wanted to entrust our wedding event with them. The day of the wedding, we worked with Rick and Kyle. Rick played a vital role in pivoting our wedding plans given current circumstances. On that note, in our eyes, he already delivered above and beyond even before the wedding event in itself. He has such keen eye on details and provided us with loads of meaningful insight, a lot of which are things that we have not considered or even thought about, which helped shape the event beyond what we would have dreamt it to be. Rick was also very accommodating and helpful in finding us a virtual producer that was the one missing piece in realizing our dream wedding prior to speaking with him. The day of the event, he kept us organized and on track. All our requests have been honored and we couldn't be any happier. On top of that, Rick ensured that we are engaging both our in person and virtual guests which we know was tough to accomplish. We had the virtual folks dancing along with us with Rick leading both groups. He constantly engaged our daughters in helping lead the dance which kept them engage throughout reception as well. He even made sure that we were able to eat. The agenda he put together was very well thought of. We wanted to say we made history as we executed this hybrid wedding and we owe a huge part of that success to Rick. He has been our lifeline. We had enormous amount of great feedback from our virtual guests about how much they have enjoyed the evening. Rick and Kyle had everyone dancing - in person or virtual, across all ages. They are true professionals who have mastered their craft and are very passionate about what they do. If we can give them 10 stars, we will. Our experience was priceless and our gratitude overflowing.

I was very cautious about who I chose to DJ my wedding because both families and all our friends love to party, so we wanted to make sure that we set ourselves up for success. Tim. Was. AWESOME. I was actually sick on the wedding day and Tim was so helpful and kind. He made sure we were all in the loop and he kept checking in with me to make sure I was feeling okay and if I wanted to delay something so I could go sit down. Honestly, it felt like he was more of a family friend. With this, he was still an amazing professional. He takes his job very seriously. And his job is to make sure that 1- the schedule is what the bride and groom want, and 2- that everyone has fun. And he was very successful. Thank you Music in Motion - it was a wonderful day! Everything was perfect. My husband and I thought Ricky did an awesome job the day of the wedding! I loved the music and had multiple compliments on the variety of songs played. Everyone really enjoyed the reverse anniversary dance, very unique. Even my uncle got up to join. It was a very special night and Music in Motion definitely helped create that party atmosphere. The planning process was clear and concise. Also, I thought it was a really nice that DJ Tim emailed/reached out to us throughout the year leading up to the wedding. It helped create more of a relationship and is something that stands out from all our other venders.
