We had found him via Yelp and were a bit cautious of booking a vendor that had not been recommended to us by our planner. However, he introduced us over email to another couple who had their wedding at our venue and they quickly replied that they highly recommended hiring him - and they were right! During our wedding he kept the flow of the ceremony and reception going so smoothly. The uplights he provided also transformed the space, especially during the dancing portion of the night. The main comment we keep getting from our wedding was how our guests had never seen such a consistently packed dance floor at a wedding, and we attribute that all to the amazing DJ Phreak! We would definitely recommend that anyone book with him for their upcoming event!!

He also had a lot of extra offerings that made for a seamless experience, like photobooths, lighting, and more. We booked his time as our DJ and also booked the photobooth and colored uplighting. It was super easy to work with Vynce, as he provided us with music checklists and guidance, and he was super responsive via email. Leading up to the wedding, we provided him with our music list(s) (based on his guidance sheet and our preferences), including our special songs, must-plays, and do-not-plays. We had a final phone call to talk through the details and make sure we were on the same page, which left us feeling really confident that everything would go smoothly and Vynce would help us throw the party of our dreams! (and he did!) The day of the wedding, he checked in with us on the uplight colors, was easy to work with any time we had questions, was a great emcee guiding our guests through the various stages of the evening, and did an amazing job keeping people on the dancefloor all night long! He was able to read the crowd and us as a couple so well and incorporate the right music at the right time, including things that weren’t on our original list. The only thing I wish we had thought about beforehand was checking that the venue allowed explicit music so he didn’t have to default to clean versions of our music initially. We realized this later into the night and eventually were able to switch to explicit – so something to keep in mind but absolutely wasn’t a dealbreaker on our wedding night and we had an absolute blast! I would definite hire Vynce, Music Phreek, again for any type of event and would recommend him to be your wedding DJ – but only if you want to have an amazing time on the dance floor all night long!

He is extremely responsive and thorough in asking questions to help ensure our day was exactly what we wanted! He also gave a lot of great suggestions regarding day of set up and how things should flow from ceremony to cocktail hour and reception. Vynce met with me and my husband two times (And some "phrantic" additional phone calls from me, bless him) and we felt so prepared and happy that our Pre-Ceremony, Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, Dinner Hour, and DANCE FLOOR BOOGIES were taken care of. His equipment was totally awesome, perfect sound levels, and made everyone sound like rockstars and professionals (even though all our speakers and even officiant were 1st timers). I also hired him to put up bistro string lights that hang half way between the roof and the floor. It really gave a magical feel, and I'm also a sucker for suspended lights. The picture shows the added lighting Vynce and his team installed for our wedding at Kijamii Overlook. Again, you need to book Vynce Pham, the Music Phreek DJ for your sound and lighting for your event.

Our wedding ceremony was outside right next to the trolley tracks and some of our guests even mentioned how great his sound system was. Even as the trolley drove by, they were able to hear our officiant speaking and our vows clearly, so his equipment is top notch. He really kept the crowd alive and made sure to keep our dance floor full. Not to mention that he transformed our venue with beautiful uplighting and market lights that made the space more intimate. Our guests had a truly wonderful time dancing the night away and we can't thank Vynce enough for making our special day a true party.

y going. We even had an emergency situation during the reception that he handled really well. He was really supportive and made sure to play all the music that we really wanted to hear. He was extremely organized and went out of his way to set up lighting for us at 7am the morning of the wedding with less than 24hrs notice. There was a miscommunication w/ the venue and they completely threw us all through a loop the day before the wedding but Vynce completely rolled with it and did not sweat it at all. Go with Vynce for DJ (and bonus, he offers lighting too) needs and you'll get so much more, you won't regret it. We certainly didn't!

Long story short, our original DJ fell through and so we thought to ourselves "lets see if that Vynce guy is available for our wedding." Sure enough, Vynce was available! Everything happens for a reason. It couldn't have worked out any better. The professionalism, expertise, and service Vynce provided us was top tier. He is very personable and easy to work with. We happened to be fairly particular with what we needed from a DJ, and Vynce really delivered. Throughout the wedding planning, he was always present anytime we needed him for a call.
