We have a mixed review for Tim. We enjoyed the music he played, and guests really had a fun time dancing (most stayed all night on the dance floor!). That’s important and we appreciate it. However, there were several snafus that were pretty disappointing: -The microphone for our musician was super crackly as the ceremony started. She finally stopped and I asked that it just be unplugged for her to restart. I wish it had been sooner, that was brutal to listen to right at the time I was preparing to walk down the aisle. -He seemed unprepared, and like he had not read the form he sent and we submitted very carefully. For example, he called my deceased grandfather to the dance floor, instead of stating that the next song was in honor of him. That was a bit sad and awkward, at a moment that was supposed to be special. We also were sad not to hear some of our requests (we sent 5 slow and 5 fast songs), though he did take requests from guests, which was nice but we would liked to have known about in advance. -The version of our first dance song he played was strange and one we had never heard. We wanted “Be Here Now” by Mason Jennings, a song we really love and looked forward to, the standard version that comes up in a basic search. The weird version threw us off so our first dance was kind of awkward. Wishing we had sent an mp3, didn’t realize there were any other versions. -He also disappeared for a while around the cake cutting time, and we felt like we didn’t know what was next or what to do, with everyone staring at us. So there were several challenges. We did appreciate that he was flexible when we asked for a little more time before toasts for guests to get a refill, and he made sure to be aware of transitioning out of the father-daughter dance when it was getting a little long. My husband also got to have his glory moment doing a bit of sing-along in the mic, so thank you for that.

Tim with Music Unlimited was absolutely fantastic to work with for our wedding. We got married at the John E.N. Howard Bandshell and had our reception at the Shadowland Ballroom. I was worried about the sound quality at the bandshell because it’s an outdoor venue, but Tim is a pro and made sure our vows were heard loud and clear. Even in the iPhone videos, the entire ceremony is audible. He also timed the ceremony music perfectly. The dance floor was full the entire night at our reception, and he worked with the photographer to keep the flow of the night on schedule. Tim flowed seamlessly between feel good songs, to line dancing, to the Chainsmokers. The variety was exactly what we wanted. He was a pleasure to work with. He’s incredibly polite, organized, and fun. Don’t hesitate to book Tim for your DJ needs.

Tim single-handedly saved my wedding after my original DJ was in a car accident two hours before my ceremony. Tim rushed to my venue last minute, set up at lightening speed and pulled off the entire event with class, astounding professionalism and an incredible attitude. We had carefully picked out songs for every part of the day and everyone pitched in to make our music happen. We had songs downloading on cell phones that we played over Tim's equipment, our friends acting as DJ-assistants and Tim piecing together names, interpreting a timeline and reading our reception playlist off old emails we'd sent our original DJ. And the day was absolutely seamless. You would never have known Tim wasn't the original hire. He was THAT good. Every single one of our most important songs played and everyone danced ALL night. If Tim can pull off that kind of party with almost no notice whatsoever, I can only imagine how amazing he would be under ideal circumstances. He went above and beyond at warp speed and I will be forever thankful for him. He's a wedding hero!!!

I had such a hard time finding a DJ that I was excited about, until finally my florist recommended Tim (Music Unlimited). Tim was so friendly and simple to work with leading up to the day of - he asks great questions and makes sure he has all of the info he needs to make sure your day/reception goes smoothly! On the day of, he really did keep our order of events flowing perfectly, and his music was tailored to us, and so fun! I highly recommend you reach out to Tim if you need a wedding DJ :)

Tim Sewcyck is amazing! He listened to our play list and our music was spot on! He kept the dance floor hopping until the reception ended! Everyone has commented that he played great music, he even took requests! I cannot say enough great things about him, he really made our day special!

My wife and I could not have been more pleased with the professionalism and care Tim took when it came to hosting our wedding day. Tim provided the sound system for our outdoor ceremony and was the DJ at our reception at the Inn and Harbor Shores. Tim arrived early to ensure everything was in order before the ceremony. There was a seamless transition from the ceremony to the reception, and Tim kept the dance floor packed throughout the entire course of our 5 hour reception. We received so many compliments from all of our guests about how fun the reception was and how the DJ did a fantastic job of catering to what the crowd was enjoying when it came to music choice. Tim and music unlimited are true professionals and we would highly recommend his services to anyone thinking about getting married in western Michigan!

Tim was awesome! He did our wedding ceremony sound as well as our reception and everything turned out great! He was great to work with during the planning process and then kept the dance floor packed all night! Everyone had such a great time & a big part of that was the music.

When my husband and I look back on our wedding day, we recall with so much delight how much FUN we had at our reception! Our DJ, Tim Sewcyck was at the heart of making things run so smoothly and keeping the dance floor alive. He coordinated with our photographer, videographer, and venue coordinator to streamline the flow from introductions, to toasts, to the first dances, and all the while made sure we were taken care of. During dinner he stopped over to our table to see if we needed a drink or if we had anything else he could take care of for us. The up-lighting he provided made our photos picture perfect. They gave the ambiance for an elegant dinner which transitioned into a late night dance party. Tim's experience brought us so much confidence in his abilities and we were extremely pleased with his service. I would whole-heartedly recommend Tim for your wedding or special occasion!

We used tim for our recent wedding. We LOVED working with him! He is a really friendly, really sweet guy who made sure that we had the most wonderful wedding we could! He was really helpful in helping us choose music. He has a really great voice and was an excellent master of ceremony. He kept the night moving and kept everyone excited. We loved having him! We chose to use his lights and it was a really fun addition to the party. We loved it. We asked him to play a lot of spanish music, as the groom was Dominican, he did play some, but we wished he had been able to play more. We also requested some disney songs for the kids to dance to and he did that, and the kids LOVED it. He was very attentive to our needs and switched some of the first dance songs around for us right there so that our toddler could dance with us. I really appreciated how attentive and flexible he was. It was just beautiful. We were absolutely happy to have him there and would recommend him to anyone!

We worked directly with Tim. He was professional and very thorough. You can tell that he has been doing this for a long time because he did not miss a single detail. At the wedding reception, he was very formal with his emcee duties (which is what we wanted), and he helped us keep our timeline in order. We had some odd song requests and he was able to get those without a problem. The music was great, and the dance floor was packed all night. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone else.

Music Unlimited was awesome! They met with us multiple times to get ready for our wedding, and were so friendly and helpful! My husband and I are an offbeat couple and they never made us feel different than any other couple. In fact, we booked them because when I met the DJs at a local bridal show they were excited about the zombie aspect of my wedding theme. The music was great, and they were really wonderful even under unexpectedly warm conditions in October (it was 80 degrees and humid!). I would recommend them to anyone who needs a DJ service. Also, their lights were beautiful!

I’m proud to say that booking Tim Sewcyck as my DJ was the first and easiest thing I had to do on my wedding list. If you are going to go with a DJ in West Michigan, Music Unlimited should without a doubt be your first and immediate choice. Tim helped me throughout the entire wedding process and was extremely valuable when it came to inside vendor information. He helped us plan out the entire wedding day and would have even acted as a day of coordinator had we not already hired Stella Event Design. Tim was such professional and classy DJ. He was laid back and had a great calming effect on me when stress levels were high. His equipment ensured that our vows would be heard above the background concert happening across the river. The microphones were ready for all of the speeches and the Dance floor was packed the entire night. Tim played a wonderful mixture of hits that pleased all ages. There was never a moment when the music died out and people were left wondering what the next song would be. Tim also provided lighting options for the whole room, which made a huge difference when everyone was ready to party. The room went from an elegant fairytale to instant nightclub as we danced the night away. A couple Guests also commented that the audio level was perfect. They said it was loud enough that it felt like a dance club but just quiet enough that guests could have conversations around the room. These are things you just don’t get with an ipod and speaker. Thank you Tim for making the wedding a huge success and an absolute blast!

As I think back to our wedding, our dance floor was packed with people, which is what I really wanted for our wedding reception. First, I was very pleased with the pricing. I also appreciated that TIm was willing to meet with us a couple of weeks before the wedding to go over some music and express what we wanted for music. Something I'm appreciative of is that Tim told us versions of songs that he typically used and allowed us to choose another version if we wanted. Overall, I was very pleased with Tim and his work at our wedding reception!

We found Tim through our venue (Mill Creek Barn) and he couldn't have been nicer. Because of crazy, unforeseen circumstances, we were in need of a DJ sort-of last minute. Tim was already booked but his daughter and her husband (with lots of experience between them) were able to step in and they worked with us (and our rather unusual playlist needs) to create a perfect event. They took charge of the event but still allowed us to make suggestions and have our needs met when necessary. It was a really terrific experience and the two of them (Jonathan and Heather) were fantastic. I can't possibly say enough good things about them! Highly recommended.

Tim went over and above to make sure the music at our wedding was very classy and top notch for our guests. He listened to my vision for the wedding reception and had great suggestions and input for me. My fiance and I do not like to dance but we wanted music that our guests could enjoy and dance to. Tim did a fabulous job. Everyone commented how fun and enjoyable Tim was a a DJ (and not cheesy and obnoxious like some). Im sure he will play the rowdy louder stuff if thats what you like but we wanted something classy and sophisticated, yet fun, and he delivered!
