complaint was with Redwater. They increased the pricing of the food at the change of the year after we had booked the venue. This was not communicated to us prior. They also had a few fees for things that didn't seem necessary - although, I think this is common for wedding venues. Overall, we had a great experience and are happy we chose to have our wedding here! It was a beautiful venue!

aff and food, was 5 stars. All of the staff were professional, friendly and very accomodating. I would highly recommend the country club for your banquet needs. We were in the Golf View Room - it was a beautiful room and the setup for the bar worked great. We will definitely be back!

. The views looking out at the water are amazing and the food was decent. I cannot speak to the cost of the wedding event, but I can say the business event was comparably priced to other venues.

however, it had to be cancelled due to Covid. So they rescheduled a date to have their reception at MCC in 2021 right away to ensure they could be accommodated for the following year. Once a new date was set with MCC the dates for everything else had to be changed to coincide with the new reception date. You can imagine what a headache that was! In late December 2020, my son received a call from the Country Club cancelling AGAIN, not due to Covid, but simply because they are shutting down to renovate. The board decided not to honor the contract they had with them. (Of course, the contract had specific consequences if the wedding couple cancels, but nothing in there about the venue cancelling.) The deposit that the Country Club held for two years was returned to them. (Gee, thanks!) My son and his fiance were left again with no reception and had to scramble to find a venue, which was not an easy task as a lot of couples were in the same predicament due to Covid and had had to reschedule. And, if they could not find a venue for the same date, they would pretty much be replanning their wedding for the third time! There is NO good reason why contracts could not be honored for 2021 and the renovation wait until after these events. I cannot understand how the members of the board could justify cancelling on people again, knowing the hardship it would cause them. It was bad enough that Covid ruined their initial plans, but to "pull the rug" out from under them again and then think that simply giving back the deposit that MCC held for two years relieved them of responsibility is appalling and shows what kind of people are running this establishment. If I help to plan a wedding in the future, I will be ensuring that the contract I sign from any establishment spells out consequences if they choose to cancel. I will not be trusting that my event is safe from cancellation just because I make a deposit.

we wanted a beach themed wedding since it was summer. The country club sits right above Lake Muskegon (and very close to Lake Michigan), making you feel as though you and your guests are right on the water. The grounds are absolutely breath taking, and well taken care of. Since we had a summer wedding, we used the grounds as one of our primary photography sites, since they are filled with big green trees, manicured grass and flowers. The reception hall is paired with an outdoor deck, and a contrail hour room, giving your guests plenty of space to dance, mingle and enjoy themselves. Having these extra spaces, really made the whole experience more comfortable for everyone attending, and provided options. Rebecca Harding was wonderful at providing necessary information and suggestions, while allowing our own personal touch to be seen and heard. She was responsive to emails, calls and in person meetings, and worked to make our day absolutely perfect! I can not say enough wonderful things about our wedding experience with Muskegon Country Club. Our guests (and me and my husband as well) were in complete awe of how beautiful this hidden gem really is. Trust me when I say, you will not be disappointed by having your special day here--we will never forget ours!

not be beat! The staff at SE4SONS Banquet Center went above and beyond for us and our guests. Food was prepared perfectly from appetizers to late night snacks. Everyone has nothing but wonderful things to say about our big day! Well done SE4SONS Banquet Center!!

ll of windows that lead out onto a deck and over look the stunning sunset over Muskegon Lake. We had perfect weather and hardly anyone was inside during the sunset because of the view. We were so grateful as well for Rebecca, she was so easy to work with and had was so reliable. She had everything in place for us for our day and took care of everything. We emailed and met with Rebecca a ton - she was super helpful and exceeded all of our expectations. Rebecca was always upfront with what we could or couldn't do and was easy to discuss our vision with. Lastly, we had a plated dinner and the food was to die for - we had so many people compliment us on how amazing and decadent the food was. We had the filet, chicken and a veggie option - most people got the filet and they were all cooked to perfection, were warm and were a good size portion. Everything was absolutely fantastic and what we hoped for - I can't say enough good things!

ue was gorgeous and perfectly clean when we arrived for setup. Our guests loved the space and the food and everything was reasonably priced. Both the venue and the service that comes with it were high quality!
