DJ Mike was an amazing DJ and he is a funny and awesome guy in general! He takes extreme pride in his work and he is very experienced which is what you need at a wedding! He was able to keep everyone on their feet and moving!! He set up microphones so my cousin could sing at the ceremony, took the time to edit our songs that we wanted, and zoomed with us several times during the planning process. Mike was the DJ at our wedding on 09.19.25. He was fantastic! From the very beginning, he made the process smooth and easy, and was always very communicative. He made sure we got exactly what we wanted. Not only were we thrilled, but our guests were too. The dancing didn't stop until it was time to turn off the music. Every vendor we worked with was so excited when we told them them our DJ was DJ Mike from Must Be the Music, and I can see why. From over a year out, Mike was helpful and communicative with our planning process, which put as at ease with the stress of planning a large event. We felt like the music/entertainment was in good hands. In the final weeks before the wedding, he helped us pick out our music and special moments and worked to help create our vision by providing input and doing multiple back and forths with song edits and it turned out great. On the day of, Mike was timely and professional. The audio/music at the ceremony was good (Mike uses clip on mics to keep stands/handheld mics out of photos, which we liked). Mike was courteous and put effort into the correct pronunciation and names our our family and wedding party, which was appreciated. Lastly (the most important part), he was a great DJ! We just wanted the dance floor to be full and people to have a good time at the reception, so we let Mike use his best judgement and he did not let us down. The reception was perfect and we received so many complements about the music. We can't recommend DJ Mike highly enough.

We could not have asked for a better experience from start to finish working with Mike as our DJ for our big day. Mike is extremely professional yet it also felt like we were chatting with one of our friends whenever we exchanged emails, calls, met via Zoom in the process of planning. He pays tremendous attention to detail and quality, plus he truly cares, and it shows! We knew from our initial meeting with Mike that he was our guy and we had found the perfect DJ to ensure we were going to have a blast at our wedding, we didn't leave the dance floor all night long and so many guests complimented his music choices, the volume of music during dinner/not having to shout to hear one another/the quality of audio during our reception and being able to hear our officiant and our vows. Additonally we opted to add the uplighting package for our venue which we felt made a huge difference in the space and was beautiful! We also really loved how clean Mike's speakers and set up are, they looked great in the reception space and his booth display screen is an awesome special touch. We really appreciated Mike taking the time to shorten/mix songs for us and he was in on a big surprise that my husband planned with a choreographed dance with family/friends. Little did I know Matt was emailing with Mike on the side and he also assisted with that music editing as well! We made a special request to shoutout two family members with a graduation and bday the weekend of our wedding and Mike was all in no questions asked and went above and beyond to recognize them in a fun way. Our day would not have been as special without you Mike, thanks for everything!

Mike was absolutely incredible! From our first zoom call down to our reception , he was so attentive & amazing. We did djs choice for our music selection, besides throwing him some genres. He did a great job of making sure the variety played suited the whole ball room of people & what they like! Mike , we are so thankful to have had an amazing DJ like you run our music!!!

Mike is genuinely excited about making the wedding you want. He worked with us to prepare some mashups and shortened songs for our reception. He was punctual for meetings, getting information to us and responding to correspondence. At our event Mike was professional, courteous, and flexible to work with our changing timeline. My husband and I would definitely recommend this DJ! He did a great job conferring with our other vendors to make sure that timelines were on point. He did a great job organizing songs for us and giving us great guidelines to follow when choosing songs. We met with him a couple of times via zoom and it was very easy speaking with him. He is very personable punctual and all-around a phenomenal DJ before my Father daughter dance with my dad, I gave a little speech on why I choose the song I did. Within that speech, I mentioned how one of Ozzy Osbourne songs would have been also suitable. Our DJ didn’t miss a beat. After we were done our dance, he played a little clip of an Ozzy song and it really got the crowd excited. It’s the little details like this that you will remember forever. You just have to make sure that you choose an experienced DJ. Look no further because this guy is perfect

Mike was fantastic!! From the first time we met Mike at a open house I got a great vibe from him and knew that I wanted him to DJ my wedding wherever we booked. I kept his information and once we booked our venue I reached right out to him. He was professional, insightful, fun, and had great communication. He reached out to us multiple times throughout the planning process to check up on us and help us with anything. He was extremely accommodating with my special request to do a mash up of two songs for my father daughter dance. It was a big hit! Our dance floor was crowded all night long and the music was enjoyed by all generations of guests. He played all our must played songs and created a upbeat vibe or the entire night. Mike was amazing. He was incredibly responsive and was able to fit in last minute changes when we needed him to. Everyone complimented the flow of our wedding, and we can attribute that to Mike. 5 stars. If we could rate higher we would. Mike was top notch since before day 1 of us hiring him as our DJ. He was the MC for our venue’s Open House; we were hooked from that day. He was beyond professional and personable. The sheets he provided to pick out our wedding music were easy to follow and made the process a lot simpler. Mike actually cares about his clients and wants the best for them; that shows through his work. You can tell he enjoys what he does for a living, providing the best DJ services possible. There was always clear, constant communication and he was available to answer any questions we had thoughout the process. There was not a song played that we didn’t want played. We would recommend Mike to ANYONE on their search for the perfect DJ. We hope to see him in the future for other weddings we attend—he’s the best!

Phenomenal through and through!! From the first email exchange, the amount of info you provided up front, the way you laid out what was needed of us, all the check ins to day of - I felt so comfortable from start to finish and had no worries when it came to the music, intros, etc on the big day. Our experience with Mike was great! He helped us through last-minute adjustments to our venue's sound ability and communicated well through these changes. He is highly organized and helpful throughout the process. Our friends and family have all had great responses to the music and atmosphere!

We were at a wedding this past weekend at a golf course near the Hamptons. There were 340 guests, amenities out the wazoo, and a dozen coordinators, photographers, and various vendors running around with crazy headsets. All in all though, the production value left a lot to be desired. There was a microphone on a stand during the ceremony that nobody, including the bride and groom and various guest speakers, were close enough to to be sufficiently audible. During the reception, the groom's party exited and re-entered the room 3 times because the DJ couldn't get their entrance music to work. The crowd literally started cheering "no music!" and clapping for them to just come out. While it was a great time and a beautiful wedding, all the money in the world couldn't secure them the carefree and issue-free experience that we had with Mike. There was no distracting microphones, no problems with cues or queued music... everything just worked great and we didn't have to even think about it. So while we were both certainly satisfied with the service, this weekend solidified our belief that we made a great choice in hiring you. We're stoked and continue to be stoked with your performance. Thanks again for being, above all else, a supremely reliable dude. We won't hesitate to recommend your services in the future should the situation arise.

Our daughter & husband decided for the small mini-mony wedding (elopement style) in early July. It was a super small event with just immediate family. My husband and I wanted to throw them a reception style event, a 'Happily Ever After Party', a few weeks later. The whole event was planned in about 3-4 months. Mike was great from the moment we first contacted him & he kept the night fun & casual (which is what we wanted) for all our guests. Highly recommend Mike!

He was very thorough during our zoom calls and ensured that every detail and song we wanted to hear were included in our day. Mike was a fantastic DJ/entertainer who went above and beyond! From our initial zoom meetings/phone calls to the wedding day itself he was so attentive and helped to make our wedding even more personal. He was so friendly, went out of his way to come out and direct the bridal party prior to being introduced at the reception, comes dressed to the nines and adds a personal touch by adding our names in our wedding color to his DJ setup. He not only played a terrific playlist during each part of the wedding day but does the initial leg work behind the scenes to make our song choices work, even trimming our first dance and parent dances down from 4 minute songs to much more tolerable 2.5 minute songs flawlessly. All the communication with Mike from the start was great, he reached out at every point he said he would, he was on point with everything, he knew everything necessary about DJ’ing at Deerfield. The day of was fantastic for everything we got to see. The ceremony went perfectly and we haven't heard any complaints. We’ve only heard how much fun everyone had. We didn’t see Mike when we were leaving at the end of the night and we wanted to say thank you but wasn't sure if he already left or just went to start collecting equipment but our shuttle was waiting for us so we had to go. We would definitely recommend Mike and we’d pick him as our DJ again. Mike put in so much work to perfect being the best DJ, he was creative with us, fun, and helped get a lot of the pieces of the planning process to come together! Mike was OUTSTANDING! He put my and my wife's preferences for music and the experience at the forefront and ensured everything went well with the theme of our wedding based on what we wanted as far as music. He worked with the venue behind the scenes to ensure we had what we needed. It was his first time at the venue and you would have thought he's there every weekend. His lighting, equipment, and sound fit seamlessly with the venue. The crowd was moving the whole time and everyone of all ages enjoyed the music. Mike is the absolute BEST! During our wedding vendor search we got a few quotes from other DJs but what made Mike stand out was how knowledgeable and professional he was from the beginning. You can sense his passion for what he does just from reading all of the information on his website, but after our first zoom call with him it was apparent how much pride he takes in his work and how dedicated he is to making sure every event he DJs is successful. He immediately put our minds at ease that with his years of experience he was the guy we needed to hire to make sure our wedding would be a great party. Throughout the planning process leading up to the wedding he checked in periodically to see if we needed anything from him, regularly giving us reassurance that he was available for any wedding or reception questions. Communication was always quick and easy whether by email, text, or phone call. And when wedding day finally came around, Mike did an amazing job of setting the perfect romantic mood during our ceremony, livening things up a bit during cocktail hour, and then really getting the party going for us during the reception. From the minute dinner was over he had people out on the dance floor and his music choices kept our guests dancing all the way to the last song of the night. I don’t think he could’ve read our crowd more perfectly! We got so many compliments from guests afterwards about how much fun they had and how awesome the music was all night long.
