Finding MXBloom for our July 2022 wedding was a great decision. With the need for livestreaming due to travel restrictions, Neil’s patience and thoroughness during our initial meeting were invaluable. The complimentary engagement session was a delightful way to get to know Fiona and Neil, who were on time and creative in their approach. On the wedding day, their patience and dedication ensured every moment was perfectly captured, and the livestream was executed flawlessly thanks to Neil’s meticulous preparation. We received our photos and highlight film quickly and were deeply moved by the final result. MXBloom’s involvement made our wedding day truly special!

We had an incredible experience with Neil from MXBloom for our wedding photography! He was very organized and was in complete control of the photo schedule. My husband and I aren't usually very comfortable being in front of a camera but Neil made it feel so natural. We understand how long it takes to edit photos and we were blown away with how many sneak peak photos Neil sent to us just two days later! I cannot thank Neil enough for everything that he did to make the wedding day so special and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone!!

Neil & Fiona were extremely communicable and engaging throughout the entire process from when we first reached out, planning up to the event, scheduling engagement photos, and on our wedding day. We had scheduled photography as well as videography. Their thorough approach and attention to detail showed through in the final product. The way they artfully stitched together the audio and clips from the wedding day was incredible and we couldn't be happier with the photos as well. 10/10 recommend!

We loved working with Neil & Fiona and highly recommend working with them. They were extremely diligent, fun to work with, and highly attentive to our needs. We ended up going with a photography package (+ engagement session), which we thought was well worth it. For our engagement session, they met us bright and early at UW to avoid the crowds during cherry blossom season. And for our wedding, Neil was there the whole eight hours and captured some wonderful moments :) Overall, a great experience!

Neil & Calvin were incredible to work with! Ahead of our wedding, Neil was diligent in reaching out to understand our preferences, timeline, etc. They even arrived a half hour earlier than originally planned to ensure there was enough time to capture the details and getting ready photos. Throughout the day, they did a wonderful job of somehow being everywhere we needed, but never in the way. As someone who generally is shy in front of the camera, they made me very comfortable and are clearly true professionals. I'm loving our sneak peek photos & can't wait to see the rest, along with the videography! I'd definitely recommend working with MXBloom. I highly recommend MXBloom for wedding photography & videography services. They’re incredible. For context, I was a June 2023 bride in Snohomish, WA. Neil & Fiona of MXBloom were our power couple duo that provided both photography & videography services. Back in fall of 2022, they did our engagement shoot. We originally weren’t that interested in doing one, but that was one of the best decisions because it allowed us to interact with Fiona (& Neil) before our big day. She directed us, captured our moments beautifully, and was so fun to work with. On our big day, Neil & Fiona were a rockstar team! They were professional, polite, AND also so much fun to have around! What I found particularly striking was their ability to capture the candid and posed moments throughout the day, without us feeling like we had to break from “being in the moment” (if that makes sense.) You could tell throughout the entire time, they were both “on” and trying to identify all the amazing, key moments to photograph/video. There were several times we had to shift our timeline during the wedding, and they were both very responsive and accommodating to those changes. They worked so well with our DJ/MC Alan (which by the way, is such an important aspect - vendors being able to work together like one team.) Their service and value provided was worth every cent. And given our wedding was a blending of our Asian (Chinese/Vietnamese) heritage and Western upbringing, we felt Fiona & Neil were the PERFECT people to document our big day. It was also such a touching moment seeing how my parents, who speak Chinese Mandarin, were able to make conversation with Neil & Fiona. Oh, one other mind-blowing fact. Fiona was about 7.5 months pregnant when she was working on our wedding day. Yet, the way she carried herself and energy she brought, you couldn’t tell she was pregnant at all! A superwoman! If you’re planning on having a wedding (or any other life milestones). If you’re planning on finding ONE company that does both photography & videography (which I highly recommend). If you’re planning on having a highly talented, professional team document your big day - hire MXBloom. Also, if you’re planning on having an Asian/Asian-leaning wedding, Neil & Fiona are the choice for you. This review has been written during the time prior to receiving our photos & videos, and we cannot wait to see when we receive them.

We hired Neil for our wedding videography and we couldn’t be happier with his work! He truly captured every highlight of our wedding and did an amazing job putting it all together! He was professional, kind, easy to work with, and punctual. I would recommend him to anyone! Thanks again for everything!

This is a review that is long overdue! My husband and I hired Neil and Fiona last December for our summer wedding this year. We purchased their 8 hour package for customized photography and videography with an engagement session. They are a beautiful husband and wife duo, and we even got to meet their daughter at our engagement shoot. We chose to have our engagement session at The Quad in Seattle, which is famous for their cherry blossoms and draws a regular crowd, but they did an amazing job with their editing and camera angles to make us feel like we were the only ones there! As for our wedding ceremony, Neil and Fiona got to shoot at TreeHouse Point I believe for the first time, so we were impressed with what they produced since it was their first time there and they were not allowed on the property beforehand to map it out. My family unfortunately acted up a little on the big day which was upsetting to me, but Neil and Fiona did an outstanding job capturing all the moments that were seemingly overshadowed by negative family members and made me fall in love with my wedding day. If I didn't have the highlight film they made, I honestly would still be mourning some of the happenings that day, but the film turned out to be so beautiful and moving I still get teary eyed watching it! I'd also really like to thank them for capturing my father walking me down the aisle, he has dementia and braved flying all the way out here for my big day. This video helps to ground him when he forgets things, and is more than just a wedding reel for my family. God bless the both of you, thank you for everything! Neil and Fiona are a lovely, kind couple and they delivered incredible photos and video for our wedding day. They completely captured the essence and magic of our wedding and they were very discreet, polite, and professional. There were a few hiccups though that are unfortunately worth noting. We paid for 3 shooters (1 photo, 1 video, 1 hybrid) unfortunately the 3rd shooter got covid and couldn’t attend which we totally understood. However, Neil and Fiona did not have a back up and insisted that there would be absolutely no change in coverage of our day. This feels disingenuous as it’s pretty obvious that 1/3 less shooters will absolutely affect coverage in terms of angles and moments captured, and overall photo count. They ended up offering $185 back of our $3700 total, which felt like a complete blow-off for losing an entire shooter. There were a few moments on our wedding day that were not captured, that perhaps a 3rd shooter would have aided. For example, I don’t have a single photo or video shot of my husband during his first look at me – which is the whole point of a first look. We had 30 full minutes dedicated to our first look, and Neil and Fiona arrived early to prepare, so I’m still a bit confused and disappointed that this somehow wasn’t covered. I had asked to provide a shot list, but Neil said they didn’t work like that and preferred more organic photos. I totally understood so we planned to have champagne and walk the beach with our wedding party while they took photos. Instead, they took us through many awkward posed photos, like uncomfortable jumping pics, that we weren’t big fans of. We did not get any organic pics of us walking the beach drinking champagne. We also had in our contract “unlimited and individually retouched photographs with print rights” but we received less than 20% of the photos. They offered to sell us the remaining photos, without print rights, for another $700 that we just didn’t have in budget. We even offered to not post or print or use the photos in any way, we really just wanted to see them all and relive the day, but they refused. We are still pretty disappointed that we will never be able to see all of our wedding photos and feel a bit misled in this regard, as their “unlimited” package was one of the reasons we chose them. We received around 400 of the over 2100 photos. Again, we really love the photos that we did receive, and we hope this helps future couples gain more clarity earlier on in the process to avoid mismanaged expectations and disappointment.

MXBLoom Films was exceptional at my wedding! They took a lot of time making sure to capture the standard wedding pictures and then did so much more to add artistic elements, such as handing my wedding dress in a tree and capturing the rings in the bridal bouquet. Additionally, they were pretty quick to give a sneak peek at some of the photographs and then released the rest on a website that was easy to share with friends and family. Finally, I can't thank them enough for ensuring my family, who couldn't make it for health reasons, was captured on screen and adding personalized artistic elements to bring the atmosphere alive in the photographs. I've had multiple friends/family tell me that these were some of the best wedding pictures they've seen, and I can't emphasize enough how valuable they were without being overly expensive. Neil and Fiona are both fantastic with the highest level of detail. I honestly couldn't recommend them enough if you want to make sure the essence of your wedding is documented and will make sure you and your guests look AMAZING!

We had a great time with Fiona and Neil, they captured our wedding and reception party beautifully and we really like the high quality well edited highlight video. It was rainy on our wedding day (Seattle weather) and it stopped raining for about an hour or two, Fiona and Neil were so considerate about our ask to get some pictures outdoors. The photos and videos are amazing!!! Would definitely recommend them for your special occasions!

So very pleased with Neil and his services! He was very communicative and easy to reach. My husband and I are located in Philly, but got married outside Seattle, and even with the location and time zone difference, Neil was still very reachable and wonderful to work with. He got us our sneak peek photos a week earlier than expected, and we are so happy with the pictures and can’t wait to see the rest of them. I also had a family tragedy a few days before the wedding and Neil was so understanding and able to help keep me in a positive mood and helped me get pictures to honor the family member we lost. Neil was even able to quickly adjust his services to accommodate my needs and calm me down when I was anxious leading up to the wedding day. Overall, incredibly pleased with Neil and would definitely recommend him to other couples! We had a very small wedding, so we only worked with Neil, but I’m sure if everyone else at MX Bloom is as great as him, then they’re also wonderful. 10/10!

MXBloom crew did not disappoint on our wedding day and on our engagement photo session. Neil and Fiona were the ones who takes most of the photos on that day. They came quick and knew what shots to take without being told. Also, you would think that they will get in your way throughout the day, but I honestly forgot that they were there.  Neil and Fiona have a great vision for spots to take pictures and have them turn out very well. With that being said, the pictures they have captured during the ceremony and reception are completely organic and were not staged which makes it more memorable. We love the fact that we can relive the moments through the shots they have taken.

We are rating MXBloom Films 5 stars because their way of conducting the photo/videography part of our wedding was a work of art. The wedding ceremony went smoothly, and they even used high quality audio gear to compliment the video, we really thought our wedding came straight out of a movie. The reception topped off their work, Neil did not miss a beat with video, and when we requested a photo with all of our tables Fiona was right there capturing each important moment with our family. I would recommend MXBloom Films to anyone that wants to capture a perfect once in a lifetime moment and be able to revisit that special moment anytime they want in photo and in video.

Choosing Fiona + Neil as our wedding photographers was one of a great decision that we have made for our wedding. They made us and our bridal party feel super comfortable and helped us find our widest smiles in front of the camera. It's clear they went the extra mile to help us take stunning photos and footage despite the rainy Oct weather. Our wedding photos are absolutely stunning; and Fiona kept the most moving bits of our wedding vows for the video which is now an amazing memory keepsake.

We had a great time working with Neil for our wedding photography. Neil found us a lot of cool spots for outdoor photos at the Seattle waterfront. We managed to get background like piers, staircases, and a really great city view. Neil was also easy to work with on our hectic wedding day. Despite time constraints, we found time to get all the photos we wanted (with parents, wedding party, bouquet toss, etc). We were also able to add video to our wedding photography package last minute. All in all great value and very happy with the results.

Neil and Fiona were so wonderful to work with! They were so incredibly kind and approachable from the very beginning... They came all the way out to San Juan Island to shoot with us for our wedding weekend. We are so grateful for their help!

Neil and Fiona were an amazing team and captured very special moments on our special day while making it seem effortless. Neil and Fiona were very comfortable to be around and especially with our wedding, which was more of a DIY project than a traditional church wedding, they were able to adapt and find all the best angles. They have very good communication with us and were very professional in all that they did. I have no complaints at all with Neil and Fiona and would 100% recommend their services to anyone. Both Neil and Fiona made it easy for us, we did not feel awkward, they encourage us to just be ourselves and just have them capture our natural expressions and emotions. I had a great experience with Neil, for my proposal. He arrived on time and captured a lot of great photos (I have seen a few images so far and can't wait to see the full set of images!). He was also willing to stay beyond the agreed-upon time, so thanks for that. I also really appreciated that he gave me confidence and helped calm my nerves in the hour leading up to the proposal haha! He also had some great ideas for poses and photos. Neil and Fiona went above and beyond our expectations at our Seattle wedding. They were everywhere at once and not intrusive at all, capturing the most intimate moments between family and friends, and with a beautiful eye for our ceremony, which was not typical. Their photos reflect a true artistic point of view, the framing is gorgeous and they caught so much emotion and expression in people in their candid photos. We also loved the ability of the two of them to capture both wide and telephoto angles of the same moments, giving us a full range of impressions of these unforgettable scenes. I was very happy with the color and contrast in their editing as well! On top of all of their skills they are just beautiful people, very discreet, kind and loving. I never felt that they were in the way or pushing their ideas onto us. My husband is a photographer and he was very impressed by the composition of their photography and their ability to capture moments and tell stories in such detail. We highly recommend this team for any event that you want to remember as if you were there, in living color.

We couldn't have been happier with Neil, really! From start to finish of our shooting, the level of detail Neil showed to capture creative and unique shots was amazing. Climbing trees, knee deep in water and laying down in all sorts of positions... all helped to create photos we could only dream of. His skills and professionalism were matched only by his fun personality to be around on our special day. Hospitable, professional, respectful and talented!!!  We planned a destination wedding in Seattle in three months and were blessed to find MXBloom Films via Facebook.  We could not have been more happy with the process and the end result.  Neil was incredibly responsive and thorough as we planned through all the details via email/phone and made our wedding day absolutely seamless.  Their team was at the venue early and had already captured so much before we even had to ask for anything.  We had given them a list of photos in advance to make sure we didn't miss anything and they delivered with those and so much more.   I work in luxury hospitality and would recommend them to anyone in the Washington area that is looking for quality photography and film to capture the emotions of your event/wedding/family.  We hardly noticed they were recording the most memorable moments.  After the final product was presented we even asked for a few small tweaks and they did so graciously, timely and presented us with beautiful videos and photos.  Passionate, remarkable, and meticulous... thank you MXBlooms for memorializing our special day in perfect fashion.

My husband and I got married a couple of months ago and chose Neil as our videographer. We were so happy we did. Leading up to our event, he was extremely professional, responsive and easy to work with. Highly recommend Neil and Fiona!! They are super nice people and very talented and professional. We are so lucky to have them record our wedding. We wrote a long email to them with all the details that we want they to record. And they captured every single item on our list. Their products are high quality and very natural, which we love a lot. My parents watched the highlight film at least 100 times in a week grin They even invited two of their photographer friends to our wedding. So we were so lucky to have 2 photographers and 2 videographers!!! They did an amazing job! We also had them help us with our engagement photos. In order to pick a nice weather day, they were very flexible. We even went to two different locations. And they were very patient and stayed a lot longer than we thought.

I have to say they are the best team which can help you get a wonderful wedding memories. For me , Wedding is one of the best momorable moment in your whole life. Neil was awesome for our wedding in 2018! I found him via the Facebook group and loved the gallery on his website. What sold me was how responsive and friendly he was via email and the fact that he offered printing rights to the digital images versus many of the photographers I researched who require you to purchase all of your printed images through them. He answered every question I had, even before I asked. On the day of the shoot, he was super friendly and warm and so easy to work with. We just got our pictures back and I am obsessed! We will treasure these pictures forever and I am so grateful to him for helping us capture such a special moment in time. I wholeheartedly recommend Neil for your wedding.
