My Custom Wedding Ceremony was easily one of the best calls we made while planning our dream wedding! My husband and I admired John’s joyful presence, professionalism, and attention to detail. His ability to personalize our vows made the words flow poetically and reflect exactly who we are as a couple. The first time I called, John immediately set the tone for a wonderful experience. He made us feel valued, and took time to truly understand our vision, by asking thoughtful and pointed questions. Throughout our wedding planning journey, John was incredibly responsive. He let us know that we could call/text/email him with any questions, and he would promptly answer with helpful suggestions and ceremony ideas. He wrote us several elegant, heartfelt options for vows and ring statements, to which I received via email far in advance of our wedding date. This itself made all the difference! My husband and I had a clear awareness of what we’d recite, had ample time to make decisions, and John welcomed any feedback for edits (we didn’t need to edit, the phrasing, as is, was lovely!). When the rehearsal came, John arrived early and prepared. He brought just the right mix of humor and expertise, and made practicing fun for my family, wedding party, and my husband and me. By the end, everyone was happy and knew exactly what to do during the big day. Our ceremony was perfect! All owed to John, for ensuring the words were warm, sincere, and full of love. Thanks to John’s role in our special day, we were able to be present in the moment, without a single worry. Later, even days after the ceremony, my guests spoke about how touched they were, and how they themselves wished they could’ve had an officiant like John. The best part of this is that you can! Highly recommend having him there for the rehearsal because he really does a great job going over how the ceremony is going to go and making you feel more relaxed about an obviously big day! He also took care of the marriage license which was really nice to have one less thing to worry about after the wedding.

We requested a few changes to a unity ceremony and he was happy to update them. For our vows, we ended up using a combination of vows we wrote ourselves along with portions of sample vows he provided. John was very encouraging of us customizing the ceremony in that way, for which we were very appreciative. During the rehearsal and ceremony, John was on time and appropriately dressed, had a calming presence, was very courteous to our family and guests, and set a happy tone for the ceremony. ng out our day and then we met in person before our event for coffee one morning and then rehearsed everything with him at the rehearsal the day before. John took care of everything from speeches and vows that we could customize ourselves to make them our own if we wanted. He even took care of all the paperwork for the marriage licensing and sent it in for us after the wedding. John made the entire ceremony very relaxing and made us feel very comfortable during the process. I would highly recommend John to anyone looking for an officiant for their wedding!

John was very responsive and handled everything in a timely manner (from correspondence throughout the planning, obtaining the marriage license – my daughter and her husband live in Texas and needed John’s assistance in obtaining an out-of-state marriage license , to planning all of the details of the actual ceremony). I spoke to John initially, to secure him for that day and felt very assured by his professionalism. He spoke to my daughter and her fiancé, at the time, and they loved him immediately! He was friendly and spent time with them going over everything. They were able to customize their vows and he gave them valuable suggestions and recommendations as to the unity candle and other details of the ceremony. We met John in person for the first time on the day of the wedding. He was so friendly and efficient! My husband and I loved how he led the ceremony and his personality. He was light-hearted and sincere. He had a sense of humor, which we appreciated, and he led the ceremony with expertise. We loved that he seemed to take his responsibility as the officiant performing their vows to heart, like he genuinely cared about their vows and the lifelong commitment they were making. We would recommend John’s services without hesitation.
