We are soo happy we chose Emma Photography! We had to change our date last minute due to health reasons and Hy was more than understanding. We rescheduled and he made it work. Wedding day shooting was so easy and enjoyable, he made us feel very comfortable. No awkwardness and the photos we got back are absolutely beautiful!! Hy was so friendly, easygoing, and fun to work with. Our engagement and wedding photos both turned out fantastic. We had a BRIGHT day with an outdoor ceremony truly not suited for great photos, and he still knocked it out of the park. He always had our best interests at heart, travelled to our wedding site, and we had our photos back within a few weeks. My groom was uneasy about the engagement shoot, but Hy quickly put him at ease and created a fun environment where he totally captured "US."

We hired My Emma Photography for both engagement and wedding photos (January 2023 wedding) after reviewing their portfolio and coming away impressed with the natural color tones and beauty captured (Lisa is a great editor!) I am nervous and awkward in front of a camera and neither my husband or I know how to pose for one! We were also planning a small wedding on a budget. So when I was picking a photographer affordability and comfortability where my main concerns. Hy did my bridal portraits at the McNay museum and was completely accommodating to the fact that we had to reschedule last minute due to a Texas ice storm. The next weekend the weather was gorgeous and even though we had to do it midday, he managed to get so many gorgeous shots! Lisa let me know my makeup artist may want to add more color for the wedding day. He was great at getting me to relax and chat with me throughout the day, so when wedding day came I was ready to go and not nervous at all in front of the camera. Hy and Lisa delivered gorgeous photos and we especially love our first look photos - so sweet! If you need a photographer who is calm and a 'good coach', pick Hy. Thank you both!

Oh my GOSH! Hy and Lisa with My Emma Photography were INCREDIBLE! I have the most beautiful wedding photos thanks to them. They both were SO easy to work with and it was no problem at all when I had to postpone and rebook due to COVID. They both made sure to get all the important shots and the quality of the photos is top tier. I had a church wedding and an indoor reception, so there were not many photo opportunities within nature, but Hy and Lisa scoped out a nearby area beforehand for us to visit with gorgeous trees and scenery in the background once our ceremony ended. They truly went the extra mile and I could not be more satisfied. Book them, you will not regret it!!

I had originally reached out to Hy because he was the most affordable photographer I could find. I wasn't expecting the best quality because you always hear "you get what you pay for"....let me just tell you..... that is not at all the case! Hy and his wife exceeded my expectations! My wife and I worked with My Emma for both our engagement photos and our wedding photos. Hy was phenomenal and worked very hard to get the perfect shots with the best lighting. Our photos turned out wonderfully and we even had two enlarged on canvas to hang in our home. He was very accommodating to our needs for both shoots, was helpful in instructing us with positioning for the shoots, and got our photos back to us extremely fast. My Emma Photography was very easy to work with, especially when we decided to postpone our wedding by a year. Hy is very efficient at getting the shots within a limited amount of time. We had finished pictures a week after the wedding which was amazing! The only thing I wish I would have done is have a more specific list of pictures I wanted taken. I would have liked to have gotten pictures with more people who attended our wedding but with the day going by so fast and the reception being such a blur, there are a lot of people we missed getting pictures with. I also would have liked to get more pictures around our venue since there are so many beautiful spots around the hotel library, bar, and even our suite. We got a couple good ones though so I can’t really complain. Overall I would recommend working with My Emma Photography.

I recently had my wedding in San Antonio, Tx and Hy was able to capture our day better than I could have imagined. I stumbled into Hy's photography website online via the knot and reached out to him in December 2020. His response was very prompt, and he personally called my cell to discuss his availability and quotes. I was impressed by his quick response and continued responsiveness throughout our correspondence. On the day of the wedding he worked extremely hard to capture all possible angles and viewpoints of the bride/ groom, bridal party, guests, church, and reception. I had numerous guests come up to me and comment on how much our photographer was working to get complete coverage of the day. Hy was an EXCELLENT communicator and worked very well with my husband and I on staging different shots of the two of us in different locations. We were so thankful for his recommendation of heading to a spot on the riverwalk, which was less crowded in order to get some incredible photos. His ability to use natural light is phenomenal! Hy and his wife also had an insanely quick turn around for delivery of the final pictures, within 3 days we had digital access to all of his work from our big day!! So many of my friends had to wait weeks if not a month before their photos were ready. I feel so LUCKY to have found Hy and I love the work he did for us! We will continue to cherish the high quality of his photographs for years to come. My Emma Photography is a true gem, I will continue to recommend Hy again and again.

Me and my fiancé finished our engagement session today. When initially booking services with Hy and his wife he took time out of his day to talk with me about his personality and style. Talking on the phone was easy and Hy was very personable. During the engagement session Hy was open to any photos that I wanted to share. Even though I was only able to show a few photos of inspiration to Hy he knew what I wanted out of the session. He was enthusiastic about our session as well as his passion for photography. Hy provided excellent direction and flow throughout the session and both my fiancé and I loved the shots that we previewed. The overall atmosphere throughout the entire session and any of our conversations afterward was open and inviting. The finished photos were beautifully edited by Hy's wife. We were so excited to see the finished products and were not disappointed! Every part of this experience has met our best expectations and hopes. Within an hour of requesting information from their site we were on the phone talking through details of our wedding so Hy could hit the ground running. I was a "covid bride" and out of everything that went wrong or had to be adjusted-Hy was our constant. He was incredibly flexible (location changed 3 times!), super communicative, and he captured the most beautiful photos of such a memorable day. He was literally the only vendor we were set on keeping and we are so thankful that we did. He knows what he is doing and gives incredible direction. You will not be disappointed! Aside from getting married, he was the best decision we made that day.

Although the weather wasn't great the day of Hy took some great photos! We loved them! Quick turnaround and reasonable prices. I didn't remember to give him a list of key shots so we missed a few important ones. Future brides don't forget that!! For the most part he did an awesome job!
