Kelly Smith was wonderful to work with & she did a lovely job officiating our ceremony. There were a few mistakes in the ceremony itself (she called me by my wife’s name a couple of times & vice versa), but overall, we are very glad we booked her as our officiant & would recommend her to anyone, especially other LGBT couples!
We cannot thank Reverend Marguerite Rafalko enough for officiating our wedding! She was very flexible when working with her prior to our wedding day and was a calming presence during our ceremony! We would absolutely recommend her to anyone in needs of an officiant for their wedding day!
Unfortunately our wedding was cancelled due to Coronavirus. Kelli was very understanding and issued me a refund. The best part was her phone call though. She called me to make sure I was ok and gave me advice about how to continue forward. She was very sweet and we talked about a vow renewal or party for my family since my wedding was cancelled. I felt like crying when she called but by the time I hung up I was excited for future events. I would recommend her to anyone!
Henry was great! When we met with him, he really tried to get to know us and make sure that the ceremony was very personal and exactly what we wanted. He also gave us a lot of materials with suggestions for readings, vows, and other parts of the ceremony when we weren't sure what to go with.
We worked with Rev. Joyce Chilton for our wedding on 8/26/2017. She did a fabulous job. We wrote our own ceremony script, so her responsibility was to read it and sign our marriage license. She was quick to respond to all of our contact and arrived to there ceremony on time and professionally dressed. They also offered a very fare price compared to other competitors. I would highly recommend their services.
I highly recommend this venue to anyone. Joyce, who preformed my wedding, did an excellent job! She was very nice, outgoing, and personal-able. She did what we asked of her and so much more!
We had Marguerite Rafalko from My Happy Day as our wedding officiant. She was FANTASTIC! Highly highly recommend her. She had a calming demeanor (very necessary for a wedding day!), and a wonderful personality. She made our ceremony exactly what we wanted: short and sweet, but extremely meaningful. We have received TONS of compliments on our ceremony!
Joyce was so amazing with our ceremony. We wanted something short and sweet and she delievered the best ceremony we could have asked for!
When I first reached out to My Happy Day, I was matched up with Susan. She invited me to call so we could chat and see if we were a good fit for each other; we spent about an hour on the phone discussing my now-husband and I, our values, our families, and what we were hoping for for our wedding. From there, we decided we'd like to continue.
We made arrangements to meet in person to go over in greater depth what we were wanting for our wedding ceremony. Susan is engaging, professional, AND very fun, and was a pleasure to work with.
She crafted a fantastic ceremony for us, incorporating our quirks (we're definitely on the nerdy side) and interests with such finesse and class - our guests, along with us, were so touched and impressed with the beautiful, personal, one-of-a-kind ceremony she created.
My husband and I really loved working with Susan and would recommend her to anyone - especially to anyone maybe seeking to deviate a little from the beaten path as ceremonies go. I hope, down the road when we seek to renew our vows, that she is still practicing because I would love the opportunity to work with her again.
My husband and I are not very religious and did not want a traditional ceremony. We didn't even know where to start with an officiant. We found Susan Talbot through an officiant website called My Happy Day. They match you to a person based on date availability and location. You talk to the person over the phone, and if you don't like them, you can request someone else through the website. Susan was wonderful. She listened to everything we wanted and happily included our request into the ceremony. She came to the rehearsal dinner and met our families and incorporated things she learned about us into the ceremony. Even at the reception, she was welcoming and even danced! We were told by countless attendees at our wedding that our ceremony was one of the best they'd ever been to. It was so personal and meaningful and Susan was a large part of why it worked so perfectly. We are so thankful that she took the time to learn about us as a couple and make our wedding day exactly what we wanted it to be.
