About this vendor
Congratulations on your engagement! To get to know me a little better let me introduce myself, my name is Samantha McCann, I am the owner of My Sun, My Moon Photography and a freelance photographer/artist. I am an art loving, photography obsessed, book addicted, caffeine fueled, devout mother and nerd extremist. I love to laugh, sometimes inappropriately, but I also take my job very seriously and strive to make my costumers walk away feeling like the portraits themselves were a great memory. My goal is to capture the story of your day while I'm with you, to get your real personalities to shine. Believe it or not most families or couples I have had the pleasure of photographing start by telling me they're awkward in pictures, my galleries speak for themselves at how I can help put you at ease and get your natural beauty to shine. I love to show people the beauty in their everyday moments, to help them see the world the way I do, full of whimsy. I shoot in a way where we will joke around, play, talk, and feel all the feelings; in other words the real important things. I am professional, but yet still friendly enough with a dash of southern charm to help you ease your nerves, even if it's by getting you to laugh at/with me. In other words I am not a stuffy artist, and I strive to and honestly can't help feeling like a old friend by the end of most of my sessions or weddings. I want your real, raw beautifully imperfect moments. I want to tell your unique story. If you are looking for someone to help put you at ease and sincerely care about your special moment, I look forward to hearing from you!

ful. The colors pop and are so textured looking. They both know how to work with you for that perfect shot while keeping it natural! I couldn’t have asked for better! My husband joked and said I was broken, as I cried over the pictures.
I didn’t have professional pictures taken at my wedding in 2009 but we had MySun, MyMoon Photography take family pictures in 2016 and I received so many compliments. Samantha and F...

ugh a co worker! I was so thrilled and relieved that they were able to accommodate our wedding day on a semi-short notice. I am the type of person that always believes that things happen for a reason, because the photos we received were absolutely amazing. Sam and Friday were so wonderful to work with and I wish I had known about them long before I did! Looking back on all of the postponing and rescheduling, I am so happy that we had them as our photographers. All of our pictures are exactly what we wished for and I will cherish them forever. I can’t wait for them to capture more memories in the future for my husband and I!
Always stunning photos! No matter if it’s weddings births or family pics you always seem to capture beautiful moments in people’s lives. Truly enjoy seeing your work!
Our pictures looked like they were from a magazine. They were breath taking! Highly recommend MSMM to capture the important moments!

I cannot say enough good things about Sam and Friday. I was initially drawn to the dramatic, moody, and bold yet subtle look of their photography which seemed to effortlessly capt...
ure emotion. Not only was their look exactly what I was looking for (not the overly bright and posed look so many photographers have), they were so much fun to work with. They kept my wedding on track and kept the rowdy boys in check all while making sure none of the hiccups/mishaps made it to me. Friday saw tension in me when no one else did and made sure I took a breath (or a drink) to calm myself. Sam bustled my dress with my MOH like an old friend and went to lengths to take the most incredible and unique photos. BOOK THEM NOW. These ladies are an incredible and fun team to work with and I look forward to working with them for years to come!!
They are both super friendly and fun to work with however, any communication post wedding with them has been a real problem. Be sure to read every contract that they send you becau...
se they sent us multiple. We noticed only after getting very concerned when we are 5+ months after our wedding without our images back yet. The contract that we signed said it would take 4 months to get our images back after our wedding date and at some point during our planning process we were also sent another one by them that said it would take 6. But that one was never signed by us! We are now closely approaching 6 months after our wedding with only our sneak peak images, we figured we will give them until the 6 month mark before taking further action but have to admit we are conceded about the situation because despite us reaching out for a timeframe of when we will receive our images they have not responded after multiple emails. To say we are concerned is an understatement actually... and we hope despite the signed contract saying 4 months maybe they were mistaken thinking we signed the 6 month one instead. Again, they take beautiful pictures but expect to WAIT for your images 6 months. In my opinion there are other photographers in the area that can get your images to you much quicker, great quality, and equal price if you look around.
"Ethereal", "magical", and "stunning" are just some of the words that have been used to describe our wedding photographs. Sam and Friday are relaxed but professional, respect a tim...
eline, creative but will still get the traditional shots your grandparents want to see, and overall just a pleasure to work with. This duo sees things in details and surroundings that others don't, and the results in the images are breathtaking. If you just trust them and their process the results will be more than you ever envisioned. We couldn't be happier with our photos and would recommend them to anyone. Their use of natural light, or even creating light, is one of my favorite things about their work. They always strive to be better than they were before, and their photographs just keep getting better as a result. Hopefully you are lucky enough to work with them!
The photographers at My Sun, My Moon are top-notch. I loved working with them both!

Samantha and Friday were amazing at our wedding. They were very organized with planning and so fun when we took all our pictures! I am awkward when it comes to getting my picture...
taken but the games we played and direction we were given made it easier to relax and come out with the most beautiful pictures to remember our special day. They really made it clear they were their for us and went over and beyond to make our day perfect. Not just in getting extra pictures that truly didn’t fit in our time we scheduled with them, but were important to me to have, but also by helping make sure everything ran smooth with our timeline by working with all our other vendors to get it done. We have only seen a sneak peek so far but I’m in love with our photos and can’t wait to relive our day in years to come with these amazing moments captured!
I absolutely love My Sun, My Moon! In the last three months they photographed both mine and my sister’s weddings. Both times we had the best experience. They are phenomenal at thei...

They are so much fun to be around and they are so easy to work with. I would absolutely recommend Sam and Friday to anyone. These ladies are THE BEST!
Sam & Friday did a PHENOMENAL job on our wedding photos!! My husband and I are kind of awkward, so it’s usually hard for us to feel comfortable while taking pictures. Sam and Frida...
y knew just how to get us to pose and capture us in the moment!! I was also really impressed with their “corralling” skills, lol! They got everyone to focus with ease while taking group pictures and kept us on time! We have gotten so many compliments on how beautiful our pictures turned out! I’ve probably looked through them every day since..lol!
Years from now, I can’t wait to look back on them and relive our special day, over and over and over! Long story short, USE THESE GUYS FOR YOUR EVENT! You won’t regret it! Happy planning!

before and I have never been disappointed with the work that has been done. Recently, I found out that I could not have an event captured by them and I was honestly very upset. But, with the quick and thoughtful acts of Sam, she shared the situation and helped me find a photographer that was dependable for the event. They genuinely care about their clients and make sure they are taken care of in every situation. I highly recommend them in the highest manner possible!!
