My Twin Lens Photography

We used Devin as our photographer for our engagement pictures and she was awesome. She is one who always has a lot of good energy and makes things fun. She also has great ideas outside the box and suggested places of scenery that we never would have thought of. They turned out great! She also brought some fun props and helped everything feel natural instead of staged. We definitely recommend her.

I got married in northern California on February 15, 2013. The first time I met Devin, I bumped into her early in the morning at my venue in the lobby, the day before my wedding- She was getting familiar with my venue so she would know great photo ops! Devin is a true artist- my husband and I had no idea what to do in photos, and our album is beautiful! She helped us with our positioning and offered awesome ideas; yet not once did she even have a hint of bossy. Her personality is well suited for weddings, because she can slip into the background in an instant and go unnoticed and then just as quickly she can bounce into the role of director, or friend/supporter, or scheduler- she wears all of those hats very well. Whatever I needed her to be, she jumped right in. I thanked her after my wedding for going so far above and beyond what a typical photographer does. She balanced my traditional wedding photo style and my husbands creative/artsy style perfectly. She is so kind and attentive- and talented! She even found this beautiful castle-like stone remains the day before our wedding and managed to convince the owners to let us take some pictures on our wedding day. A castle! I was overjoyed- it looked like we were in Ireland or something! Needless to say, our pictures came out amazing! She used multiple types of film, as well; which impressed me. She captured the most awesome moments of our special day, and all of the pictures were top notch. I am no expert on photography, but I know professional work when I see it. In addition to her incredible skill, she was especially helpful to me as an advisor/confidant. She supported me the whole day, and I really appreciate her personal interest that she took in me and my family. Everyone comments on my wedding album about how great the photos are- which is what every bride wants to hear. And I'm so proud of my wedding album that it sits on my coffee table in my living room, and everyone gravitates towards it- after all, there's an amazing castle on the front! Devin also created a cute "thank you" banner for us to hold out in a photo for our thank you cards- so smart! Trust me, you want the best for one of the most important and memorable days of your life! And Devin is definitely the best.

My husband and I were endlessly impressed with Devin! Her portfolio gave us a great idea of her eclectic and personal style and we were able to get inspiration from looking through her scope of work. She met with us with an open mind and endlessly creative perspective. We felt completely comfortable and at ease with her. She was encouraging and enthusiastic even though at first we were a little shy in front of the camera! Soon, however, we forgot she was even there as she seamlessly directed us through our more posed shots and beautifully captured our candid moments. I tend to have outlandish ideas when it comes to pictures, but no photography skills. She happily incorporated my requests and even took my ideas and made them better. The turn around on photos was great and she truly made us look and feel as special as we could have hoped for. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. I just might be tempted to book anniversary photos with Devin!
