He took the time to talk with my husband and I to learn what our style was, what our guests would be comfortable with, and how to make our friends and family really dance. He was masterful in how he wove together songs to fit different age groups in our audience. He found a way to work in Toby Keith, Old Town Road, some classic oldies tunes, and Cascada in a seamless way. He is truly a master of his craft, and we loved every minute of our reception thanks in large part to Evan's work!

One of my favorite moments was getting down to Alan Jackson, and Evan replayed one of the song’s verses, so I got an extra 45 seconds of dancing to Chattahoochee. Such a small thing but it elevated the experience! Beyond that, the planning form that MyDeejay uses was super helpful. The UI might be a lil outdated, but the form is fully functional and covers all the details that you might forget to even think about. It was so easy too, because I was able to fill out the song requests and event details at my leisure over 2+ years of planning (thanks COVID!). By the time the wedding rolled around, we just had to schedule a quick phone call with Evan to go over the details. He had everything clearly in writing and it was super easy to ensure we were all on the same page. I can’t recommend enough! Two weeks out and I’m still getting compliments on the reception playlist!

Brian and the entire MyDeejay staff were very thorough and responsive. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner went smoothly but the dancefloor was incredible! Brian read the crowd so well and kept the dancefloor packed all night long, we had multiple guests say to us throughout the night and for days and weeks after our wedding how awesome our DJ was, we agree! We had some unusual requests including Brazilian music and a western PA bridal dance and he rolled with the punches perfectly and made sure everything went off without a hitch. re to match you with your DJ which I think is so crucial. All of the communication was professional, timely and full of great information. We were matched with Brian Jones who has the same music taste as we do and our first little chat ended up being an hour long! After you are matched they give you questionnaires and a system where you can input music. It's a very thorough process but helped with my timeline with all vendors and really helped us get organized. I went overboard and sent Brian 9 hours of music, and knowing our taste and the vibe that we wanted he was able to create the perfect soundtrack to our evening. My friends and I did not leave the dance floor and we had the older folks dancing as long as they could as well. I felt like he was a friend we hired to play our event and not a vendor. It seriously could not have gone better and I am SO thankful I found MyDeeJay! Thank you to Brian and the whole staff for making our evening truly unforgettable and a cherished memory to look back on.

Our wedding was almost three weeks ago and people are still reaching out and raving about the music. Evan crafted a playlist that perfectly matched the mood and atmosphere we wanted. We provided a small subset of songs we wanted to hear. Based on these songs, Evan was able to craft an evening filled with music that perfectly matched our vibe and music taste. He played classical music during cocktail hour, romantic music during dinner, and started the party with fantastic throwbacks and ended with more upbeat pop, R&B, and EDM hits. He was even able to incorporate Italian and Greek music that our guests requested on the spot! He also knew when to pull back and when to turn up. We felt so comfortable deferring to his expertise! We can honestly say that our dream wedding would not have been possible without Evan and MyDeejay!

He was superfast too, informing us he will provide us a well organized playlist of all the songs, so we can listen to our event over and over. In short, Anthony was a rock star! We were initially drawn to their excellent reviews and their philosophy: their business model is transparent (no hidden upcharges) and their DJs aren't gimmicky emcees trying to hog the spotlight. In our initial phone call, Anthony was clear that our wedding guests would know why they were there -- to celebrate our marriage! -- and that his job as the DJ would be to keep the dance floor packed and the evening moving along smoothly, without being cheesy or dragging people onto the dance floor. He asked a number of great questions about our musical tastes and the age demographics of our guests, which really impressed us. Ultimately, your wedding is a party for all your guests, so we appreciated him getting a read on the age groups that would be represented in advance so he could play music that would appeal to all different generations. In the lead-up to the wedding, MyDeejay sent us a link to their planning system, which is super convenient and allows you to specify your timeline and all your song choices for key moments (parent-child dances, bouquet toss, last dance, etc.). We could also enter a "definitely play," "maybe play," and "do not play" list, which was great. We kept our requests fairly minimal, since we trusted Anthony to read the crowd, but it was helpful to get our few song requests in before the big day. More importantly, it was helpful to specify the type of music we *didn't* want played (i.e., cheesy line dances and songs that we really didn't like or found offensive). Anthony was also super awesome when it came to editing a few key songs, including our first dance, which we wanted to trim from ~4 minutes to ~2 minutes. We gave him a very specific list of edits, because we wanted to keep key parts of the song while cutting sections out of the middle, and we were blown away by how natural his edit sounded -- it was perfect, not choppy or awkward-sounding at all. Most importantly, on our wedding day, Anthony absolutely killed it. He nailed every cue, was an elegant and professional emcee when it came to wedding party intros and announcements of key events like the bouquet toss, and kept the dance floor packed all night. He even offered to bring us drinks, which was extremely nice of him. We got a huge number of compliments on how awesome the dance party was and how great Anthony was. He truly knocked it out of the park and we were beyond thrilled, as were our parents. Anthony, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making our wedding the best night of our lives! He was also very responsive in terms of making sure that there were adequate equipment for the ceremony, enough microphones for the readers and co-officiants, and that he was all set for the music cues. We also had a friend of ours who was singing a few songs, and he was great to work with to make sure that our friend had the equipment and tracks she needed. The day of itself was amazing! Brian was great at setting everything up, and then for the dancing itself, everything was just perfect. He was so good at reading the room, and making sure that everyone was up and dancing. He was one of the best DJs we had ever seen - and many of our guests said the same. He really made the party what it was. Brian was professional, competent, and so good at making the party rock. We couldn’t have asked for anything more, and are so glad we hired him!

And finally, the exceptional; When our florist and day-of coordinator bailed the day-of, Evan stepped in and ensured everything went smoothly; he took a copy of the schedule, made extra announcements, helped coordinate and cue the musicians, helped line up the guests, and greatly exceeded anything we could have hoped for. A vendor "just doing their job" could have done just that, staying behind the equipment and mixing playing the music, but Evan became a pillar of the event, supporting us, making sure everything was ok and pitching in any way he could. Our wedding would not have been the event it was without Evan, and we would highly recommend him to anyone!

First of all, we had about 3 telephone convos during the planning process where he took down all my requests and custom tailoring which was so important to me because I had a lot of traditional and contemporary elements to my wedding. He has done over 200 weddings so he gets it. He is totally chill but also very professional. His set up and timeliness was spotless, and he had all the right equipment. He also provided our officiant with a lapel mic and our reader with a tripod mic. He was just awesome and after the wedding I had so many people asking for his card! He kept the dance floor busy all night and I am super thankful that he was a part of our wedding!
