I’ve been filming weddings since I was eighteen, and what started back in 2018 as a simple love for capturing real moments slowly grew into something much bigger. About three years ago, I launched a new chapter in Charlotte and brought together a small team of close friends — the same friends who now film for Myndful Films. We like to joke that my filmmakers shoot better than I do, and I definitely edit better than they do — and honestly, that balance is exactly why we work so well together. I personally guide every couple from the very first conversation all the way to the final film, staying involved in the creative process and making sure everything feels genuine, cinematic, and true to who they are. Outside of weddings, I’m a huge lover of cinema. I’m inspired by the symmetry and charm of Wes Anderson, the precision and depth of David Fincher, and the early storytelling style of Guy Ritchie. I also love animation — especially Japanese anime. Naruto was the show of my childhood, and recently I’ve been obsessed with K-pop Demon Hunters. Building Myndful Films taught me something important: with the right people, you can create incredibly high-quality wedding films without making them unreachable. Keeping our team small and intentional lets us stay creative, stay personal, and offer a level of care that feels meaningful — all while keeping our pricing approachable. That combination of heart, storytelling, and teamwork is what makes Myndful Films… well, mindful.

Dmytro and Marie have been the lead shooters at Myndful Films since day one. If you’ve seen our films from North Carolina, South Carolina, or Georgia on Instagram, YouTube, or our website — chances are, these two captured them. They’re an incredibly talented husband-and-wife team with over twelve years of wedding experience, three kids who keep them endlessly inspired, and a shared love for Harry Potter marathons and rewatching Friends together every year. What makes them special is the way they see moments. They always notice angles, emotions, and little interactions that most people would miss — including me. Their style leans away from anything overly staged or overly posed. Instead, they focus on natural, honest, documentary-style storytelling that feels like a beautiful backstage look into the day. They never pull couples away from their celebration just for the sake of a shot. But during portrait time with the photographer — golden hour, couple portraits, quiet moments — they gently guide with simple prompts that help couples relax and feel like themselves. Nothing cringy, nothing overly produced, just real connection. Dmytro and Marie are kind, fun, and genuinely wonderful to be around. And their ability to blend into a wedding day while still capturing its heart is one of the biggest reasons Myndful Films feels the way it does.
