The building itself is fantastic!! We had a little bit of an issue getting in day of but it didn't cause much of a delay. Highly recommend using the Train Depot!
Absolutely amazing! Beautiful in itself and Troy was awesome! It was a little overpriced - considering I'm a resident of Myrtle Beach in my mailing address but a few miles outside the city line, so instead of paying $50 per hour, I was charged $100 per hour. But that is my only complaint. I'm so happy I chose the train depot for my reception!!
The Myrtle Beach Train Depot is an AMAZING venue!!! It is a beautiful location!! It really needs no decorating. Tables/chairs already there. The depot is beautiful inside and out and provides for amazing backdrops in pictures. We had both our ceremony and our reception here and it was perfect. It is a very affordable venue! The city is super easy to work with and they are very helpful! All our guests were commenting on how wonderful the venue looked! The string lights hanging all across the ceiling make it a beautiful place. I HIGHLY recommend the Train Depot!
The Train Depot is the perfect place for anything. It held my 120 guest for our wedding perfectly. And they offered clean up for a small fee.
Another Hidden Gem of Myrtle Beach. If you're looking for a venue that is not too small or not too big and also has the ability to be decorated anyway you like, this is the place. The price on this place was EXCELLENT! And Troy gave great suggestions on set up. The back deck of this place is where the magic happens. The lighting in the ceiling gave this place the right touch. But the highlight if this venue was that for an extra $50/$60 cleanup was included. It was a stress I didn't need to worry about. Great Venue for ANY type if event.
My husband and I had a very small, low-key wedding. We were looking for a budget friendly, but still charming location for the reception. At $55 an hour, the train depot fit the bill! The city owns this building and everyone who I spoke with concerning details leading up to the big day was wonderful. The space is pre-decorated with lights on the ceiling and looks spectacular when lit! Definitely a southern charm wedding.
Very little decorating required. Clean up and setup included in the price and they do offer a local's discount!
The Train Depot is beautiful inside and out. There are white lights in the ceiling and hardwood floors. The ambiance is amazing! They have tables and chairs available with the rental. There isn't a kitchen though, so caterers must come prepared. And the contact, Brian Lowry, was so sweet and accommodating. He was such a pleasure to work with! We even bought an engraved brick, which he installed in the sidewalk before the wedding. Such an amazing experience!
It was a very unique location for the area- most venues in Myrtle Beach are either hotels or golf courses. The Historic Train Depot was unique and 'fit' us.;Because it is not a 'one stop shop' it is a lot more work, and can be more expensive, to bring everything in yourself. This is also not a good location for big groups.
