Founded in 1929, this museum aims to preserve America's rapidly disappearing seafaring history. With various event spaces accommodating up to 500 guests, Mystic Seaport is a fantastic venue for weddings of all sizes. Couples wishing to celebrate full capacity can have their ceremony and reception on the North Lawn with a large all-weather tent. For a slightly smaller wedding of 200 loved ones, the venue's open-air pavilion is perfect for saying 'I dos' overlooking the museum and the Mystic River. What's more, there are luxurious get-ready rooms for both parties to get pampered and prepare for their big walk down the aisle.
As a private retreat, Mystic Seaport offers a serene space for couples to celebrate tying the knot with their partner. The passionate staff will work with guests to craft the celebration that they envision. These wedding experts are ready to advise soon-to-be-weds on all details of planning their special day so that they feel completely satisfied with their preparations. This team can provide a selection of event rentals such as tables, chairs, centerpieces, decor, and audio equipment. In addition, they also welcome outside vendors to the property, allowing couples the freedom to pick and choose their preferred businesses. For added convenience, the experienced staff at Mystic Seaport is happy to manage the set-up and tear-down on the big day.

Mary, Chantelle, Amy, and Angela were absolute superstars. They took care of everything for us and were always one step ahead. They were patient, incredibly helpful, kind, and genuinely caring throughout the entire process. On the wedding day, we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves knowing they had everything handled.
They completely transformed the Boat Shed for our reception, and it looked absolutely beautiful. We chose the salmon and short rib for our entrées, and everything was delicious and came out hot. The entire staff was organized and efficient, and dinner service ran so smoothly. There was no sitting around waiting forever between courses—they kept everything moving while still making the evening feel relaxed and enjoyable.
From setup and service to cleanup at the end of the night, everything was handled quickly and seamlessly. We felt incredibly well taken care of from start to finish.
If you have the opportunity to book the Boat Shed for your wedding, do not hesitate. Between the beautiful views of the Mystic River, the history and charm of Mystic Seaport, and the incredible team at Constellation Catering, it is such a special place to get married. We feel so grateful and lucky that we were able to have our wedding here and truly could not have asked for a better experience.

clear that communication what we wanted most throughout this planning process. It was never a 24-48 hour turnaround, like industry standard. It was 4, 5, maybe 6 days between responses. Even when we were about one month out from the date, we waited 11 days for a response, while sending 3 follow-up emails. That's embarrassing and unacceptable. At the beginning of our planning stages, we were presented a menu with our options to choose from for apps, salads, entrees, and desserts. We went to the group tasting and were able to taste maybe 20% of the options (not very impressive, but manageable). When we finally went to give our final choices (which was like pulling teeth to even get this meeting set), we were presented a menu that was about 75% different. Their excuse was that they changed chefs (red flag) but they had no reasoning/personal life reasons as to why this was not communicated with us. They also cancelled the wedding about 36 hours before and gave us an option to reschedule but there was no chance of that. Given, it was a bad storm that flooded the venue, we took this as a blessing that we didn't have to work with them anymore. We had to eat the money they wouldn't give us back for food cost but would have paid any amount to not have to work with them. Since we were paying for the food, we made sure we got it, but not before being charged another $2000 for "labor" to cook it (horribly). Between horrible communication, personal excuses as to why they hadn't been communicating, and everything else that went wrong, we do NOT recommend doing any business with either of these groups. 0/10.

to assist our guests who had mobility issues and help with the set-up and break down of everything. The food was excellent and we were so pleased with how the entire day flowed. It's a unique, rustic venue that is full of history and charm. We will cherish this place forever!

itality group, and for that reason alone, I cannot recommend this venue for weddings or any special or corporate events.
It was an absolute circus show working with Lancer Hospitality group. The turnover at the company is insane and the communication within the company is horrible. This made it extremely difficult to plan and ensure my needs were met. The cocktail hour and reception were upsetting. - They didn’t have enough hordeurves for our guests.
- They ran out of alcohol 2 hours into our event.
- They forgot to bring the ingredients for our signature drinks.
- They served a different meal than what was given to us at the tasting. Dinner also came out 40 minutes late and cold.
- They didn’t serve our cake to our guests, even though we paid and planned for them to do so.
- The bartenders working our event got in a fight in front of our guests like it was an episode of Vanderpump Rules.
Worst of all, the contact we worked with the 2 weeks leading up to our event (Hayley) was unresponsive, not very nice, and demeaning towards my family. I highly recommend anyone avoids a venue that works with them. Issues run deep at this organization, and this will impact your wedding day and your cortisol levels leading up to your event.
