The venue itself is beautiful, and we didn’t have issues with the folks at Mystic Seaport Museum. The museum, however, unfortunately works exclusively with Lancer Catering and Hosp...itality group, and for that reason alone, I cannot recommend this venue for weddings or any special or corporate events.
It was an absolute circus show working with Lancer Hospitality group. The turnover at the company is insane and the communication within the company is horrible. This made it extremely difficult to plan and ensure my needs were met. The cocktail hour and reception were upsetting. - They didn’t have enough hordeurves for our guests.
- They ran out of alcohol 2 hours into our event.
- They forgot to bring the ingredients for our signature drinks.
- They served a different meal than what was given to us at the tasting. Dinner also came out 40 minutes late and cold.
- They didn’t serve our cake to our guests, even though we paid and planned for them to do so.
- The bartenders working our event got in a fight in front of our guests like it was an episode of Vanderpump Rules.
Worst of all, the contact we worked with the 2 weeks leading up to our event (Hayley) was unresponsive, not very nice, and demeaning towards my family. I highly recommend anyone avoids a venue that works with them. Issues run deep at this organization, and this will impact your wedding day and your cortisol levels leading up to your event.
