s, quickly pinpointing the aspects of a venue that were most important to us. We most importantly wanted to find a space that had both indoor and outdoor ceremony options (especially since we were looking to have an October ceremony and the east coast weather can be quite unpredictable!). It was difficult to find an indoor space light and bright and just as beautiful as the outdoors - that is until we walked into Mystic Yachting Club. As soon as we walked up the stairs and saw how airy and bright the wood-filled room was with giant windows looking out over the water, we knew it was perfect. It was evident that the space could accommodate weddings of many different sizes and they were able to adjust the space in a way that was best for your specific needs.
One of the best things about this venue is that the catering is part of the package which alleviates so much stress of securing that separate vendor. Tasks like choosing the menu, designing the floor plan, creating the day-of-schedule, deciding on the finishing touches, etc. were all seamless and I was even able to go back to the venue a couple weeks before my wedding to walk through and speak with the wonderful wedding coordinators as they answered all my questions and assured me that the day was going to be perfect - which it was!
The entire staff was so kind and organized. My wedding planner worked easily with the staff to ensure the space was decorated beyond my wildest dreams and that everything throughout the day moved smoothly.
I believe we received equal to or beyond the value of the cost of the venue and I was very pleased - I did not have to exceed my budget with this venue!
I don't even think I can even count how many compliments and praises I received during and after our wedding about how beautiful and perfect this venue was for our intimate celebration. Truly I could not recommend this venue more.

am so grateful! Maybe I’m a cynic or just still a city girl at heart, but I had low expectations for the event. It’s a seaside town in CT in the off season, how good could the staff be? But they were wonderful, so professional, so attentive, so happy to help! The transformation of the space was incredible and none of it could have happened without your help. Ariana went beyond the calls of her job and I thank you for helping me to create our perfect wedding day. It was flawless, not a single hiccup, nothing I would change and I am incredibly thankful to you!
For venue owners, the building needs some updates and maintenance – paint would go a long way! When the lights are turned down for an evening event though, you can’t really tell!

s is the only wedding venue my husband and I looked at because we knew from the initial visit that we had hit the jackpot. The location is perfect, the view of the river makes for the most beautiful photo backdrop, the 2-level layout makes cocktail hour feel special and different from the reception. The architecture of this building is unlike anything we (or our guests!) have ever seen before. Upstairs is beautiful and intimate, and so elegant and different from any other venue we've ever seen at other weddings. Ariana is professional and so organized, she worked with our day of coordinator to make sure everything ran smoothly. And the FOOD!!! We have truly never had such an amazing meal at a wedding before. Our guests are STILL commenting about how delicious the steak and crab cakes were. In our opinion, the MYC is THE place to host a memorable, intimate, elegant, delicious, and classic New England wedding.

ests between indoor and outdoor spaces. Our guests were so thrilled with the river views outside and the beautiful woodwork in the ballroom. A huge plus for us was that this venue only hosts one wedding per day so the property was exclusively ours. The sales manager, Katie Kernozek, was so easy to work with and very professional. Her catering staff and banquet manager, Ashley, made sure every detail was executed on time and transitioned the bridal party and guests seamlessly from ceremony through the reception. We were also thrilled to have a kitchen on-site – the food was fresh and perfectly prepared. Our guests are still talking about the quality of the food and service! We would highly recommend the Mystic Yachting Center as an event venue for anyone looking for great location, food and service.

Seaport. Beautiful decks for taking photos. Beautiful wrap-around deck for the perfect cocktail hour.
The building is very beautiful and unique, the upstairs is where the dinner/dancing takes place. 4 huge windows upstairs with beautiful views for guests to enjoy while eating their dinners.
I would recommend not trying to fit more than 120-130 guests for a sit down reception. They advertise that 150 people could fit comfortably, but I could not imagine that! We ended up having 115 people (instead of the 150 people we thought we might have) come to our wedding reception, and it seemed like everyone just fit. We had 12 tables that could fit 10 people each, I really could not imagine them squishing 3 more tables in that room!
Besides the potential space issue, everything else was perfect.
