Mystic Yachting Club at Willow Point

My husband and I had decided immediately after our engagement that we were going to have a small wedding. We began our search in Connecticut and researched several different options, quickly pinpointing the aspects of a venue that were most important to us. We most importantly wanted to find a space that had both indoor and outdoor ceremony options (especially since we were looking to have an October ceremony and the east coast weather can be quite unpredictable!). It was difficult to find an indoor space light and bright and just as beautiful as the outdoors - that is until we walked into Mystic Yachting Club. As soon as we walked up the stairs and saw how airy and bright the wood-filled room was with giant windows looking out over the water, we knew it was perfect. It was evident that the space could accommodate weddings of many different sizes and they were able to adjust the space in a way that was best for your specific needs. One of the best things about this venue is that the catering is part of the package which alleviates so much stress of securing that separate vendor. Tasks like choosing the menu, designing the floor plan, creating the day-of-schedule, deciding on the finishing touches, etc. were all seamless and I was even able to go back to the venue a couple weeks before my wedding to walk through and speak with the wonderful wedding coordinators as they answered all my questions and assured me that the day was going to be perfect - which it was! The entire staff was so kind and organized. My wedding planner worked easily with the staff to ensure the space was decorated beyond my wildest dreams and that everything throughout the day moved smoothly. I believe we received equal to or beyond the value of the cost of the venue and I was very pleased - I did not have to exceed my budget with this venue! I don't even think I can even count how many compliments and praises I received during and after our wedding about how beautiful and perfect this venue was for our intimate celebration. Truly I could not recommend this venue more.

I had the MYC bookmarked on my computer since 2015 when I saw a blog post with pictures of a wedding at this venue. There are no words to describe how beautiful this space is!! This is the only wedding venue my husband and I looked at because we knew from the initial visit that we had hit the jackpot. The location is perfect, the view of the river makes for the most beautiful photo backdrop, the 2-level layout makes cocktail hour feel special and different from the reception. The architecture of this building is unlike anything we (or our guests!) have ever seen before. Upstairs is beautiful and intimate, and so elegant and different from any other venue we've ever seen at other weddings. Ariana is professional and so organized, she worked with our day of coordinator to make sure everything ran smoothly. And the FOOD!!! We have truly never had such an amazing meal at a wedding before. Our guests are STILL commenting about how delicious the steak and crab cakes were. In our opinion, the MYC is THE place to host a memorable, intimate, elegant, delicious, and classic New England wedding.
