Our executive chef is focused on creating consistent and artistically fresh and diverse dishes that feature locally grown produce. We also have an outdoor dining terrace overlooking the golf course and two lounge areas. One thing I love about this venue is our President's Lounge. It is a gorgeous and massive bar area, which in turn creates a better flow for wedding receptions. We are also located right next to the UW Arboretum which offers beautiful scenery to take photos in.

drinks and service. We chose the salmon with pineapple salsa, filet, and tofu poke bowl for entrees-- all received awesome reviews. It was nice to have different spaces for guests to gather, whether they wanted to be dancing, chatting in the bar, or playing games in the library. Our wedding ended up being on a VERY snowy day in January, and while the snow could've caused some bumps in the day, everything was executed beautifully which I think this is a reflection of the professionalism of the team at Nakoma. From the start of the planning process to seeing it all come together, it was a very enjoyable experience. Working with the Events Director, Stephanie was amazing-- she was extremely organized, made sure our vision was represented in all of the details, and offered great ideas. If you are considering having your wedding at Nakoma, I would not hesitate!!

is so professional, responsive and accommodating. She does all of the set up and take down, so you and your family and friends can enjoy the day how its supposed to! I legitamely didn't need to worry about ANYTHING. She was so thorough in planning everything ahead of time that even my type-A-control-freak kind of personality felt cool, calm and collected and not once was I the bride-zilla that I think most of my family (and even my wonderful groom) thought I would be and I get 100% credit to Amy for that. Also, I totally screwed up the seating chart and between Amy and my mother on the day of, you hardly even knew that I screwed up major. So calm and adept at fixing any issues. Literally. A. Saint. Second, the actual venue just recently got a make over and its awesome! I think it was done very nicely. There is parking available. The arboretum is two blocks away for pictures to be taken. There is an outdoor patio, there is a HUGE bar. Oh and the FOOD WAS SOOO GOOD! We had the salmon or pesto chicken option and for a large reception, I was so impressed at the quality of the food. I had multiple family members who are notoriously hard to impress say they absolutely loved the food. I was able to request things that weren't on the menu for both apps and late night (i.e., cheese curds!). The price overall was a STEAL considering how good the food was, how professional and complete the service is and the beauty of the space.

e Arboretum was perfect for our fall wedding. They do ask that you have a sponsor or know a member of the club, but we didn't and they made it work.
They handle EVERYTHING! Any requests I had, emergencies, whatever-they took care of. Piece of mind is everything on your wedding day, and the staff made sure I was calm. They had a schedule that they reminded me to stick to and even carried out all of the gifts and loaded them into my car at the end of the night. In the morning, they packed up all of my reception items and left them for me to pick up at my earliest convenience. I have no complaints about this place and was thrilled I chose it.
