My husband hates cake. Cupcakes and cake pops are not something he's head-over-heels for either. What he does love is cheesecake. Not just any cheesecake. It has to be creamy without being overtly indulgent with a hint of tart mixed with tangy to bring out the simplicity of each and every bite.
Both my husband and I have lived in New York and have sampled and savored quite a few choice selections over extended periods of time. At least three-quarters of our guest list included chefs, restauranteurs, food addicts and self-proclaimed epicurean purists. Did I mention the dozen or so New Yorkers? It was going to be tough to tempt these tastebuds.
Thank goodness for karmic collisions.
Cherith took on the challenge without a hiccup. In fact, she was able to convince my mother-in-law that our non-traditional picnic ceremony and food truck park reception was not only novel, but something her cheesecake would "marry" the two events seamlessly.
How's that for service that brings about smiles?
Namesake Cheesecake is the BEST cheesecake we've ever had. We have a slew of born and bred New Yorkers who will attest to that fact. Cherith doesn't compromise when it comes to keeping each bite true to its original recipe. Thus, its trademark is exactly that — there's no frills when it comes to the actual cheesecake. Tradition is key.
