Long post but the gist of it is DO NOT TRUST Nancy Sinoway with your wedding dress alterations. I will post all pictures for proof.
-She never used a measuring tape to make sure ...
things were equal, BE CAUTIOUS OF THIS
-Charged me $1200 for alterations, her ‘bustle’ she made me was made of other wedding scraps that was 2 strings to tie together under the dress
-She cut my sleeves at different lengths, sewed them on at different parts of the dress and SEWED ONE ON UPSIDE DOWN AND DENIED IT. One sleeve was cut about 4 inches shorter than the other and at different thicknesses of the sleeves.
-She pushed me out the door with the dress all bagged up before letting me try it on a final time, and that is my fault I should’ve pushed to try it on again
-Never steamed the hem after she hemmed it so was curled up
-Created receipts that I had NEVER been shown before after I told her she sewed a sleeve on upside down
-Used every excuse in the book to send me a minimum refund for ‘just the sleeves’ and then called me shameful for asking my money back. Kept claiming she would send the check the next day and took over a week for her to finally do it.
-TOLD ME WORD FOR WORD ‘tip your seamstress’ and she refused to refund the tip
