Naomi photographed our no-guest elopement at Shipwreck Beach and did an absolutely incredible job. We felt like the pictures were going to be key to making people “see” what we did...
and why we did it that way, and these photos delivered, She was very responsive while we were shopping around, provided a reasonable quote (not the cheapest but still within reach and definitely worth the investment), captured the ceremony beautifully from beginning to end so that we could show the story of our elopement to friends and family afterwards, got both of us to relax and look natural during the posed pictures (no small feat), and delivered pictures that went above and beyond what we were expecting. She was also extremely nice, genuine, and we were happy with our choice to have her as one of two people at our wedding (the other was the officiant). We highly recommend Naomi to anyone getting married in Kauai.
Naomi was an absolute pleasure to work with. I will be forever indebted to her--the moments she captured will create memories to last us a lifetime. We were married at Plantation G...
ardens (amazing venue)--she captured the beauty of the property as well as the beach across the street. Our family and friends loved working with her as well. While having your picture taken can be awkward, she made it look and feel so natural. We just got our pictures back and they are just perfect. I cannot thank Naomi enough for her amazing talent and sharing it with us. SHE IS THE BEST!!!!!
Naomi was great. She was so relaxed and checked in several times to make sure there weren’t any pictures that we wanted that we were missing. She was so sweet and kind and she sent...
us a sneak peek so quickly and the final pictures really very fast. I ordered prints from her months later and they were within the mail within a few days. She was the best. Highly recommend.
We had found Naomi Wong Photography online while we were searching out our venue. The venue we wanted had a small selection of photographers to choose from and we were thrilled to...
find Naomi Wong Photography on the list of photographers and over the moon to find she was available for our date.
Up until the wedding date we had no/little contact with Naomi. This was because we were coordinating everything through our venue. It was kind of exciting going into the big day not knowing who we were working with. I work in the wedding industry in Idaho and I know some couples spend hours "interviewing" potential photographers and deciding between a list of potential vendors. We went with the opposite approach. We loved her work, saw she had great reviews, trusted she would just be great on the day of and just ran with it.
We were right. Spoiler - she was amazing.
We met Naomi at our first look. Naomi and Mami (hope I spell that right) were so easy to talk to and so chill.
Being my wedding day I was nervous. Within a couple minutes we were laughing and chatting and the nerves quickly fell aside. She actually set the tone for the evening in my mind. With the nerves calmed I knew I was just going to enjoy the day and soak it all in.
When it comes to doing what we hired her for it's hard to express, in words, how happy we are. During the day/night Naomi and Mami did a great job capturing all the moments. They were there, snapping away, without us knowing they were there. They are true professionals. We did a first look photo shoot, then the ceremony, then family photos, sunset photos, and then the reception. During every staged shot Naomi did an amazing job at making sure we looked our best. Her and Mami were constantly adjusting my wife's dress to make sure it was looking great and were conscious of the little things like hair going wild, the train kicking up on a rock, or the vail being bunched up. They kept the small things in line so we didn't have to worry so much about them. They gave clear and easy instructions when "posing" so the pics would look great without being super "staged" and they were just so easy to work with. She made sure to get photos of us with each family member and they were generous with taking spur of the moment photos anytime/where we asked.
After the wedding we were truly shocked by the turn around. Obviously timeframes change based on how busy everyone is but we had a sneak peak collection in our email when we returned from our honeymoon. A couple weeks later we had hundreds of AMAZING photos to go through. We sat and looked through the pictures together the night we got them and were so excited with how everything turned out. Each photo brought back a memory of that perfect night and we look forward to having these images forever to always remind us of our Kauai wedding. The photos all look so "real." That may sound silly but with some photographers you get the photoshop feel. The look that the photos have all been heavily filtered and modified. The pictures from Naomi are clean, natural, and "real." They truly capture moments which is exactly what we were looking for.
In closing I cannot recommend Naomi Wong Photography more. Naomi is a true professional and so awesome to work with. You will not be disappointed whatsoever in your choice in going with Naomi Wong Photography. I know we do not regret it, at all, and we have the amazing pictures and memories to back it up. :)
From the moment we started looking through Kauai's possible photographers for our destination wedding in August 2018, Naomi was our top choice! I was nervous with the high quality ...
of her photos that she would be out of our price range, but she was actually on the affordable side compared to other Kauai photographers. Naomi has such a calm demeanor that made my husband and I so comfortable on our wedding day. I wouldn't say we are the most coachable in terms of posing for photography, but Naomi did a wonderful job coaching us into some great poses without feeling unnatural. Our pictures came back so quickly, and we are thrilled with all of them. Naomi is the best!!!
Naomi is amazing! Everyone (including us) loves our photos - and we got them back SO quickly after the wedding. Plus, Naomi is so sweet and professional in person. The poses she ha...
d us do were not at all awkward (especially for two kind of awkward people).
We received Naomi as one of the top photographer recommendations from our wedding planner, Tiffany Lee (@ The Beach House). We are so glad we chose her, and we haven't even gotten ...
all of our pictures, yet!
My husband and I are typically not very comfortable in front of the camera, but she made it so easy to be. She told us exactly what to do and the sneak peeks that she sent proved she knew exactly what she was doing. They are incredible! She captured the spirit of the day and the amazing sunset perfectly.

us over the phone as we planned a wedding from afar and then answered emails and helped us plan throughout the process. One the day of the wedding she came early and was with us through every moment that we wanted captured. She was so fun to work with and made us feel comfortable the entire day. Our wedding photos are gorgeous. She captured everything we wanted to and more! Naomi is a true gem and we recommend her with our highest recommendations!

Wire, the Knot, and Yelp. We booked an engagement session with Naomi in October 2017 at Ke’e beach.
We almost had to cancel are photos due to crazy rain. Naomi was willing to drive out the beach and give it a go despite the rain. Boy we are glad she encouraged us the make the drive to Ke'e despite the rain. The rain cleared and every moment of the session was worth it! Naomi gave easy instructing to direct us through different poses. She worked hard to pick up the natural light in its reflection off the water, rocks, and your faces. Her relaxed personality made it easy for us to open up and enjoy taking the photos! She had a quick turn around with the photos. We are thrilled with the results. We have had great feedback from our families when we used the photos for our save the dates and wedding website. My mom had some major waterworks over the photos! We would recommend her to anyone for wedding / engagement / family session. We will do another session with her if we go back to Kauai.

d she did just that for us! She is easy to talk to, work with and trust. From the very beginning, any questions I had, she answered them right away. When I got to the ceremony with my bridesmaids, she was already there set up! Getting shots of the ceremony area, my husband with his groomsmen, family members, everything! I was so happy! My husband and I have a large immediate family so we were worried about the family photo portion after the ceremony ended. Naomi made us put together a list of the groups of people we wanted in each photo. We gave her the list and when it was her time, she took complete control and made it happen! What a relief! It was so organized, ran so smoothly and on time, we couldn't have been happier! We could tell that she takes pride in her work because she made sure she got every shot perfect! After the family shots, we did wedding party shots, bride and groom shots, individual shots, she did it all! Then she followed us up to the reception where she took pictures of us doing our introductions and first dance! How awesome! We received our photos about 2 weeks after our wedding. AMAZING doesn't even begin to describe them! It was like looking at a wedding magazine! Great quality and so many to choose from! She captured every breath taking moment of our special day and we couldn't be more thankful! When we look at our photos, we are able to relive our precious moments! She definitely has the eye for this profession! Thank you Naomi for your awesome work!
Naomi did such an amazing job photographing our wedding! she captured the vibe of our wedding so beautifully! We wanted our pictures to show life as it happens and have the guests ...
and reception photographed without them being too aware. It turned out perfect. The pictures captured memories and moments that my husband and I will treasure forever. A few are truly priceless to us. She was so kind and patient with our group, we are so thankful she was apart of our day!
Naomi was suggested by our wedding planner, Veronika with Ali'i Kauai, and was a perfect fit. She arrived early and immediately connected with our small wedding party. She is warm,...
interactive, friendly and SO much fun to work with! She has a great eye for lighting, positioning people and capturing the perfect moments. Truly, her photographs captured how our wedding felt--maybe even better! Naomi was the best choice for photographer for us and we would highly recommend her talents and expertise to anyone looking for great professional photos. Mahalo! :)

r after meeting her. She made us feel comfortable, relaxed and completely organic. We got all our photos within 10 days! It was hard to believe we were looking at ourselves in the photos, they were so beautiful and natural. We have received so many compliments on our album and many shared that they teared up viewing them. One comment we received was that we looked like we were in a magazine. We were so impressed with the amount of quality shots she got in such little time. She was a sweetheart and a breeze to work with. Would highly recommend the talented Naomi, her work is stunning! Mahalo!

ng you could ask for! She is also the sweetest, nicest person and really makes you feel comfortable. Highly recommend!!
I knew that Naomi's photos would be good based on her portfolio and glowing reviews. But I could never have guessed at just how talented she is; her photos are gorgeous and she is...
a lovely person. Our whole experience with Naomi was incredible: she greeted us on our wedding day with warmth and then must have been a magician throughout the ceremony. After seeing our photos, I do not know how one person could capture as many shots and angles as she managed to, all while somehow managing to avoid the silly snorkeler who decided to crash the party.
Naomi also worked to get us our photos quickly for the party we were having upon returning home, which was amazing considering how busy she is. When we received the photos, we were moved to tears. Her work is beautiful and she captured the day and our emotions perfectly. Thank you Naomi!
Naomi Wong... where do I even start? This woman is brilliant! Trust her completely and you will not be disappointed. My husband and I married on 07/26/2016. I booked Naomi sometime...
in September 2015. From the very beginning (email correspondence) she was prompt, thorough, and overall very easy to work with. Honestly, I had quite a few things going on in my life and did not dedicate the time to send Naomi sample photos or much of anything for our "vision." I do not regret it at all. The day before the wedding, I made a list of photos that I wanted to make sure I had with my family. As far as everything else, Naomi had full control. Just from her reviews and online photos, I trusted her completely and felt no need to demonstrate what I wanted. The day of our wedding, she arrived promptly, prepared, and was an obvious professional. As many of the other reviews have mentioned, she is very calm and serene. My husband and I can be pretty stiff and awkward. Naomi told us where to look, how to stand, where to place our hands, and gosh did she know what she was doing. We had our photos in 2 weeks! 2 weeks! Every single one of them is beautiful and shows what a wonderful eye Naomi has for detail. I knew they would be great, but they still exceeded my expectations. Do yourself a favor and stop reading reviews for other photographers. Naomi will come through for you in every way. She is worth every penny and more!
Naomi, thank you so much for our beautiful photos!

ust the right lighting, angle, pose, and shot for every single photo. I can't narrow down which ones I want in an album! She is so laid-back and really was a calming presence on our wedding day, making sure that taking the photos was enjoyable and stress-free. I have absolutely no negatives, she's the best!

engagement picture shoot, she is the BEST! Yes, she's professional and very talented! You will absolutely love your pictures - we can't stop looking at ours! Naomi is also very kind and made us feel at ease during the engagement pictures (nausea and all) and wedding day. Her gentle demeanor made for a fun time during somewhat awkward moments - our very first professional photos we had ever taken, but you would never know because we look like models! ;) My fiance and I wanted the very best photographer for our destination wedding and Naomi nailed it! Hire Naomi Now! XO!
We had an amazing experience with Naomi. Her work really speaks for itself! I loved each and every image from our special day. From the beginning of the process, she was fantastic ...
to work with. She got to know us as a couple, and based on her understanding of our vision and preferences, we ended up making some tweaks to our arrangements that I am so incredibly grateful for (i.e. - time of day so I wasn't sweating profusely and squinting, etc.! she simply noticed a pattern in the example photos I sent and offered some great insight). Naomi truly has an eye for beautiful shots. I appreciated her direction on site, as well. I wasn't focused at all on posing or posture, and she managed to direct us subtly in order to achieve the best most flattering, natural shots. Finally, she is just a doll to work with! So sweet and lovely! I enjoyed having her as a part of our special day. I would give her a thousand stars if I could! I highly recommend her services!
During our search for a wedding photographer, the first thing that stood out for us about Naomi’s work was how natural and relaxed most of the couples in her images looked. There w...
ere hardly any exaggerated poses, and, very important to us, the couples looked happy. Furthermore, we liked Naomi’s style of processing, favoring a natural look rather than oversaturated colors and exaggerated contrast, which we had mostly seen up until then. What also stood out to us was the fact, that some of her images we liked best were actually taken in unfavorable, flat lighting due to overcast skies. This was important to us, as we would be getting married outside and, even though we were hoping for sunny weather, we wanted to feel confident we would get some beautiful photos regardless of the weather.
Upon enquiring about her being available on our date, we already had a very friendly confirmation from her the next day. Her request for some more personal info and a couple of pictures both of ourselves and wedding photos we liked gave us the feeling, that it was truly important to her to prepare herself for our wishes. Naomi was wonderfully reliable in responding to our e-mails leading up to our big day, which was very reassuring for us.
We were both a little nervous going into our photoshoot, but Naomi was just so easy going and relaxed when we met her on our wedding day, that we instantly felt super comfortable around her. During the ceremony Naomi managed to work in a very unintrusive way, so that we were actually surprised at the number of close-ups she managed to get. We would never have thought in advance, that we would have such a wonderful time taking the pictures, but Naomi just made the whole experience so enjoyable for us. After a short while we were happily chatting away with her, while she would casually direct us where to walk to and what poses to strike. The whole photoshoot just felt extremely natural to us, basically like going for an evening stroll on the beach with a friend that just happens to be a hell of a photographer.
The pictures came just 12 days after our wedding. Naomi managed to capture all the important moments from our ceremony and the love we have for each other absolutely beautifully. Looking through the approximately 300 images from our 2 hour shoot we felt taken right back to that beautiful sunny evening on the beach. Many of our family members and friends that have seen the pictures so far, have raved about how great they are. Our favorite statements so far are “That looks like a picture right out of ‘Modern Bride Magazine’” and “We don’t really need a photographer for our wedding, because any photos we will get can only look bad against Chris’ and Sabine’s”.
I think it really says a lot for the high level of the photos Naomi took of us, that we spent a considerable amount of time trying to pick out our favorites and still ended up with about 100 images.
Dear Naomi,
We cannot thank you enough for the wonderful time we had having our wedding photos taken by you, the resulting beautiful images, and also the time you took afterwards to tell us about life on Kauai and where to get some great Hawaiian food. We have, in the meantime, had several images printed for our family, and, if at all possible, the pictures look even lovelier when printed.
We could not have hoped for better wedding photos and we will be surely enjoying the lovely memories they evoke for many years to come.
Thank you so much!
Chris and Sabine

he was so understanding and helpful, she even called our officiant to let him know we were behind! What help and relief! She was so nice and fun, she helped us relax and feel comfortable. I am not a photogenic poser and I feel like she knew exactly how to get me in a good picture position :) We are in love with our wedding photos! Which we got back in less than 2 weeks of the wedding! I am so happy we found her to take our photos! I definitely recommend her to anyone getting married in Kauai!
