Narratore Photography

Jess and Ythan are AMAZING! We used them for our engagement photos, wedding photos, and wedding highlight video. For such a reasonable rate, we got gorgeous photos/video and got them super fast (which was super nice because we were able to get pictures back to use on our thank you's within the month). My husband and I are not a big fan of bring in front of the camera and certainly don't look our best in photos. However, Jess gives such good direction (always reminding me to put my shoulders down!) so that you look great and feel comfortable. Additionally, Jess and Ythan are a super efficient team, working together to get great shots and do so quickly so that you can have a ton of photos from your big day but actually get to enjoy the day as well. Some of the candid or unplanned shots that they got are some of my favorites but they also go the extra mile to get a cool staged picture. Poor Ythan threw cold snow in the air, at night, in 10 degree weather, to get pictures with a snowy backdrop. And yes, it turned out amazing. I highly recommend them!

I could not be happier with my experience with Jess at Narratore or the photos she was able to capture of our special day! We and our guests think she and Ythan did an amazing job with posed and candid shots. When booking with her, she had many options for packages and is really helpful with planning the timeline for the day. We could not have asked for a better team to document our wedding day! We loved having two photographers who captured not only hundreds of amazing photos but also put together a beautiful video for us. We love their documentary style, and going through our photos and video feels like reliving this amazing day. We weren't used to having our photos taken professionally and their calm confidence -- and great planning -- put us completely at ease. They were incredibly easy to work with from beginning to end, and the final products were better than we ever could have imagined. Five stars is simply not enough!

I cannot imagine our wedding day without Jess and Ythan as they truly fit into our day perfectly! They are both the sweetest people and felt like family on our wedding day. The photos from our engagement session and wedding day are such high quality and absolutely beautiful! Once we received the albums we were so overwhelmed with what pictures to print because they were all SO good! Our highlight video was amazing as well! We cannot say enough about how amazing Jess & Ythan were for our wedding photos & video! Jess did our engagement session in Minneapolis, she is so friendly, easy to work with, has tons of suggestions, and instantly makes you feel comfortable. We couldn't have been happier with how our engagement session went, but our wedding photos and video are to DIE for. We got married July 2018 and I still look through the photos and watch our video at least once a week. Jess and Ythan on our wedding day were so efficient, fast, and captured absolutely everything we wanted. Guests even commented about how friendly and easy they were to work with, as well as being VERY good at almost disguising themselves while they were taking pictures during the ceremony, first dance, etc. If you are on the fence at ALL about doing a video, DO IT. We weren't sure if we could fit it in our budget, but ended up making it work and we are SO happy we did. We can't wait to continue to use Narratore for our future family photos! We love you guys! Absolute treasure to work with. Jess and the team were so nice from day one, always getting back to you right away and made taking photos (not my favorite) easy and pain free. Many people have said that our wedding photos were the best they have ever seen, and I was especially impressed at the candid photos Jess was able to capture. I would recommend Narratore 10/10 times no question.

Jess is so easy to work with and very responsive if you have questions. She did an amazing job on our engagement and wedding pictures. We get compliments on them all the time! We are excited to continue using her as our family grows, it’s nice to find someone local you can count on for a shoot.

Jess is absolutely incredible and probably the best decision we made for the wedding (outside of the getting married part)! Her work is absolutely stunning and I know that we'll treasure these photos for years and years to come. I love how bright and vivid our pictures our and how well she captured the joy of the day. She caught lots of little moments and details that I loved seeing afterwards. She was great at taking my requests on the fly but also had tons of ideas and poses for us, which was fantastic since I didn't really know what to do! Jess was really communicative and easy to work with - she's super responsive to emails and she helped put together our timeline for the day. She also turns around your gallery at LIGHTNING SPEED - I still can't believe we had all our photos before we'd even been married a month! She's also just a fun and happy person to have around. Your wedding photographer is right up in your face for a lot of the day, and she was such a happy positive presence! I'd hire her again in a heartbeat.

Jess is AMAZING at what she does!! So many people commented on how smooth she made the day go,how well she knew how to pose people as we were taking pictures and how beautiful the photos turned out. She is a joy to work with and delivers STUNNING work and memories to last a lifetime. Great value.

We really enjoyed having Jess as our photographer for our engagement and wedding photos. We thought her prices were great for such high quality photos, and we felt really comfortable during the photo shoots. Jess was so easy to work with, very organized and responsive, and so personable.

I can't say enough good things about Jess and her work. She is one of the easiest people to work with and makes you feel like you have known her for years. Our engagement session was a great ice breaker for getting the feel for getting our picture taken and made our wedding day pictures less awkward since we knew what to expect. Jess did mine and my husbands engagement and Wedding photos and we are SO SO happy with them. We couldn't be happier with how all of them turned out. If you want beautiful, candid shots go with her! We have so many amazing photos that aren't posey and fake. Jess and Ythan were flexible with last minute changes to our day of timeline and went with the flow! They were so fun to shoot with and were more than willing to help out with other things besides photography.

We Love our photos from Jess. They came out so amazing! The backlight photos came out so cool and the style of every photo was on point. She helped find a plan that would work within our budget and understood the constraints a bride and groom have with weddings. Her assistant made my wedding party laugh the entire night with his personality and jokes. Great company to work with!

I wish i could give Jess 10 stars!!! She was absolutely amazing during our whole wedding day and before while we did all the planning. First of all she helped me with the planning all through email and just a couple phone calls. My husband and I live in California, so it was very easy to be able to communicate through email because of the 2 hour difference in time zones, and my work schedule. Second on the day of our wedding the groom and I were running a bit late, Jess never stressed and always kept a smile on her face and she kept busy with taking tons of photos of our venue, which i very much appreciated since the day goes so fast, you forget how beautiful everything is, now i have those photos to look back on. I loved Jess's energy, she knew exactly what to do with all 10 of my bridesmaids, i still don't know how she kept us all in line, especially once the boys joined in! We actually went off site to take some seriously gorgeous photos by a waterfall, Jess never hesitated, she got right in to the mud and hiked on down to the falls, she was pretty much balancing on rocks over the water at one point, but those photos were so worth it! I truly can't thank Jess enough for our special memories! I'd highly recommend Narratore Photography! They truly made our day as stress free as possible and captured every perfect memory!

Jess is so wonderful to work with!! She did our engagement, wedding and I did a boudoir photo shoot which she helped me relax with music and wine! I love how many edited pictures I got back from each session and how fast is able to edit them! We received many compliments on our photos and I couldn't be happier! Definitely recommend jess!! :)

Jess photographed our engagement pictures and did our wedding video. We are not The type to take a lot of pictures together and my husband absolutely hates getting his picture taken, but Jess made everything fun and easy going! We got so many good pictures during our engagement session and had a blast doing it. The wedding video she did for us was no different. We both absolutely loved it and the way she put together the images and music fit our personalities and captured the day perfectly. I would highly recommend her!!

AMAZING! We loved Jess! She was so wonderful to work with and our photos came so quickly (3 weeks) and they were all gorgeous. Jess was our photographer for both our Engagement Photos and on our Wedding Day. We couldn’t have asked for more from a Photographer. We tend to take the same photo/pose in our pictures so a big want for us was a photographer who can provide us direction and capture many different poses/looks. Jess was great at this and was beyond what we expected. If you plan to use her for your Wedding Day, we would highly recommend also having an Engagement shoot prior to that as it’s a great way to get to meet the photographer, get a feel for their style, and have the photographer get to know you as a couple. Not to mention the photo’s turned out great! We were struggling to find a Photographer in our budget when we were recommended to speak with Jess, after a quick consultation and sit down we had our engagement shoot and wedding day booked and it came in under budget! We would highly recommend using Jess and Narratore to help capture and remember your special day!

Jess was the most amazing photographer I could have ever hoped for and imagined!! She did our engagement and wedding photos and they are beyond spectacular!! Everyone was so impressed with how she coordinated photos--she has an amazing eye for epic pictures!! She turned our snow storm wedding into a winter wonderland/magical snow globe wedding and the pictures are so incredibly beautiful! We are so beyond pleased with the unbelievable work she did for us and we had an absolute blast with her and Ythan!!

Jess was out photographer for our very small intimate wedding (12 people) She did impeccable. We only had 1.5 hours with her but she used every moment. My husband and I are also expecting and she was able to put in some maternity photos. In the short 1.5 hrs Jess was able to capture a VARIETY of photos and posses for us! In only a weeks time we got our pictures back and they were beyond expectations!! I was so impressed that I look at them - pretty much - on a daily bases. Every time I see them it brings tears to my eyes. The emotions she caught on camera will always be cherished. You are so busy and caught in the moment that you miss things happening around you. She was able to incorporate his military tags in with our rings beautifully. In the end - I was over the moon with our photos. I will recommend Jess to all friends/family who are getting married. She is well worth it!

Jess was phenomenal! From the very first email inquiry I sent her all the way through the big day she was more than accommodating! We had many issues (unrelated to photography) in planning the wedding due to my husbands upcoming deployment, and she was by far the easiest to work with! The pictures turned out incredible! She (and her partner) are friendly and easy to be around, they made everything seem less stressful on the big day! She was patient with our crazy dogs, and climbed through rocks and splashing waves to get the best shot! I would recommend her to anyone! We will continue to use her for all family and other photos, I wouldn't dream of using anyone else!
