edding: I don't really wear makeup other than the occasional tinted sunscreen mascara situation and wanted to make sure I felt and looked like myself on my wedding day, but a more glowed-up version. Natalie did just that. She is exceptional. My makeup looked wonderful and stayed the entire day/night (through heat, sweating, and excessive happy crying throughout the ceremony). Not only did she work magic on my tired and hungover face the day of the wedding (holy crap, she is magic), but she is also just one of the kindest and most nurturing people I've had the pleasure of meeting. I was really nervous the day of the wedding, after weeks of stressful logistics and planning for folks coming from out of town, and sitting in her chair the day of the wedding was a meditative experience. It was just the peaceful and loving cacoon I needed to gather and ground myself before the wedding. She also did my mom's and my sister's makeup and we all felt so wonderful and beautiful afterward that we vowed to start having our makeup done more often by Natalie....why shouldn't we have the occasional glow-up for no reason other than wanting to feel our best!

The part I was more anxious about was my hair, since it is thick and unwieldy and I wanted a specific look- a loose, messy side braid. It ended up being perfectly what I wanted! I recommend a trial because it both soothed my anxiety knowing it would look how I wanted and also I think it was even better on the day of the wedding. Madison also helped with our hair/makeup for my bridesmaids and she was wonderful as well! One of the biggest stressors leading up to the wedding is that my poor mother had fallen and had a huge dark black eye a week before the wedding, and it was not fading. Natalie was so sweet and helpful, she had even reached out to friends in the beauty industry and was texting us tips to try to heal the inflammation faster on the week leading up to the wedding. Based on my mom's own attempts at covering with makeup, I was trying to adjust my expectations and not be too unrealistic. However, at the wedding no one could tell! Even the photographer did not know which eye was the problem. All the photos looked great, not even just the professionally edited ones- my mom even changed her facebook profile picture to an iphone selfie from the wedding. I am so so grateful to Natalie and her team.

n my hair and it was exactly how I wanted it. We did a trial run together so we could see how it held. My hair looked so natural, yet had just the right bit of glam for the big day. Through dancing, heat, and pictures, it held all day. She also did a unique braided hairstyle for my bridesmaids that complimented my style as well. Thank you Natalie!

I told her I've been in weddings before where I've felt very overwhelmed by the amount of make up caked onto my face and felt like you couldn't see my eyes through the thick curtain of false lashes glued to my lids. She was more than understanding and told me she works to enhance the natural beauty of her brides, and she did not disappoint! Not only did I feel like myself on my wedding day (but a much more fabulous, beautiful version), the make up I wore felt light and comfortable and lasted all night -- withstanding all the tears from the ceremony AND sweat from the dance floor! Natalie worked with me during my bridal preview and on the day of to make sure my false lashes felt comfortable and didn't obstruct my vision or agitate my eyes. She even provided little touch-up kits for us to take with us that had oil absorbing sheets and each person's unique lip color for touch-ups throughout the night. Natalie as a person is very friendly and kind. She is a knowledgable professional and even offered me recommendations when I had trouble booking a hair stylist. If you choose to go with Natalie, you will not be disappointed.

Not only did Natalie drive from San Diego to Los Angeles for our COVID backyard wedding to do my hair and makeup, but she was also available for the big wedding a year later. She and her team (Charee, Julie & Bianca) went above and beyond to make my bridesmaids, mom, mother in law, grandmother in law and even our flower girl look and feel beautiful for our special day! Every single one of them blew me away with their talents, and they were a joy to work with. They arrived on time, were very efficient, did excellent jobs, and made sure we had everything we needed before packing up.
