I was really disappointed with my experience, especially because this was for my wedding day and I had invested a significant amount in these services. The morning of my wedding wa...
s on a very tight timeline, and after my makeup artist, Kellie, left before my bridal party’s services were fully completed, we realized the lipstick application that was included in our services had been missed. Because we could not delay the wedding timeline, the bridal party had to finish their own makeup.
I reached out afterward hoping to resolve the issue and receive acknowledgment for the service that was not completed. It took a week to receive a response to my initial follow-up, and the issue was not resolved until about a month after my wedding.
While I appreciate that the company apologized and offered a partial refund, I was disappointed by the response I received. Rather than simply acknowledging that a paid service was missed, the explanation focused on the busyness of the morning, including timeline issues and other circumstances, which felt like responsibility was being shifted back onto me and my wedding day.
I understand that mistakes can happen, especially on busy wedding days. However, after investing a significant amount in these services for such an important day, I hoped to feel more valued and supported. The most disappointing part was not only the missed service, but also feeling like my concerns were not fully acknowledged during the resolution process.
I hope this feedback helps improve communication and the experience for future brides.
Never have I ever felt more beautiful than when my hair and makeup was done by Natasha from The Velvet Mirror. So many things I love about Natasha. For one, her responsiveness is e...
xcellent. She was always willing to answer any questions that came up (and with lots of details which is important to me!) I love that her pricing includes a hair and makeup trial for the bride—many makeup teams require you to pay additionally. Natasha is GREAT at her job. She knows how to make you look your most beautiful! I really love how experienced Natasha is with her products and in knowing how makeup will photograph. When I would ask her if she could tweak something, I loved how she answered honestly—either “sure, no problem” or “no, if I did that you really wouldn’t be happy with how it photographed.” Natasha is also super personable and really fun to have on my glam team to get me pretty and hyped on wedding day. Highly recommend her and her team!
I absolutely loved working with Natasha! She was incredible. I never wear any makeup and she made me feel beautiful but still comfortable. She also went above and beyond on my brid...

Natasha was a huge help! When she found out I was Indian and was wanting to incorporate Indian jewelry and dress with my look, she recommended her sister Savannah to me. Savannah w...
as wonderful to work with! She was professional, communicative and above all, a joy to be around. The hair and makeup trial was helpful so we could nail down the look I was envisioning, and on the day of the wedding, she exceeded my expectations completely by making me look even better! Everyone complimented my hair since I never do updos, and Savannah ensured that my head piece and hair stayed put with an army of Bobby pins. So thankful for these two sisters!
I used Natasha Rae Artistry for my wedding, and I could not have been happier! Through an entire COVID wedding reschedule, timing changes, number changes, etc., Natasha was incredi...
bly accommodating and supportive, and she made the whole process so easy. They were full of energy and so much fun on the big day, and made all my bridesmaids feel really comfortable. Also, the makeup they did was incredible and FAST. My bridal party was SO happy with how they looked, and a couple of them are even looking into Natasha for their own weddings.

ut she really knows what she is doing. I just recently did my engagement shoot in 100 degree weather, she came to my house and made sure my makeup looked perfect for the hot weather. I do not even have to tell her what I want or need because she has such an eye for beauty/ what looks good on me. It also does not hurt that she just so happens to be the nicest human with the best personality. I am so excited for her to be apart of my wedding day. SHE IS THE BEST!!! You are missing out if you do not know this sweet woman!!

She’s a friend, an incredible artist and an amazing person. She’s a game changer. She just gets it and understands this world. You are lucky to have her and lucky to know her. And i feel that having Natasha in my life.

was blown away after doing my trial run. She made my eyes pop and my skin looked absolutely flawless. My wedding pictures turned out gorgeous and I got so many compliments on my make-up and hair. My sister, who was my matron of honor, also decided very last minute to get her hair and make-up done as well and Natasha was able to bring in one of her team members to fill in last minute , with no issues at all. She looked just as amazing! I would highly recommend Natasha and her team. The experience couldn't have been better for my perfect day!

tra for me. My spray tan messed up in a couple areas where I had dry skin and she made it look perfect! She didn't have to do that, but she did and I appreciated it and much!! She is so sweet and so good at what she does. You will not be disappointed with her!
Natasha is absolutely amazing! She is not only a wonderful person with an amazing eye for details, but she is a true artist! The quality of make-up and the techniques she used were...
wonderful! My make-up stayed put for over 24 hours through sweat and sleep! It was very hot on my wedding day, but not a single ounce of make-up came off my face! I continue to use her to this day and love her still! She is a great listener and made sure she knew exactly what I wanted for my big day! I never felt like I had too much make-up on. I just felt like an enhanced version of myself. She made sure that I was my most beautiful self on the most important day of my life! I love to look back at pictures of my wedding day and see how truly beautiful I felt inside and out! I highly recommend Natasha if you are still looking for an artist! She is absolutely wonderful!!!

ow they wanted their hair and makeup and fulfilled their needs. She is so easy to work with and very fun. On my wedding day it was in June and the A/C wasn't really working at the reception, but never once did I worry about my makeup or hair because Natasha does it that you never have to worry about your hair falling or doing touch-ups on your makeup. Natasha has a art of not only making you look and feel beautiful, but also makes it look very natural. I will use Tasha anytime I need to be glammed up for a special event!!!

ences with makeup in the past, so I was really nervous about looking the way I wanted to for my wedding. All those fears went away as soon as I met Natasha for my trial. You could tell she knew exactly what she was doing and knew what needed to be done to make me look my best, while also asking about my preferences and how I wanted to look. I walked out of the salon feeling the most beautiful I ever had, and even more so on the actual wedding day! She is also incredibly sweet and fun to chat with. My bridesmaids and I had a great time hanging out all morning as we got ready. What I will never be able to thank Natasha enough for is what she did for my best friend and matron of honor, who was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months before the wedding and was feeling self-conscious. Natasha not only made her look and feel gorgeous, but she also made her feel incredibly comfortable and cared for. Natasha, thank you for being one of the best parts of our wedding--as I look back at our photos, I know I couldn't have found anyone better to make me look and feel beautiful.
Natasha was fantastic! She did hair and makeup for my bridal portraits and for my wedding day. She listened to what I wanted and knew exactly how to amplify my natural beauty. She ...
is very consistent, which is something I was looking for for my wedding hair and makeup. Natasha is also very efficient! There were a total of 6 of us that she and her assistant did in 4 hours! I love that she used airbrush for everyone, that way everyone would look great in pictures. I also cried through most of my wedding ceremony and my makeup stayed and was still amazing for the pictures afterwards! Natasha is a blast to work with and she knows exactly what she's doing. I would recommender her again and again to everyone!
Natasha and here team were absolutely amazing. They provided hair and makeup services for my daughters wedding. There were 9 of us that they worked with. They did an amazing job...

I am incredibly impressed with Natasha Shipley's skill as a bridal makeup artist and hairstylist, but even more impressed with her kindness and helpfulness even though she was alre...
ady booked for my wedding date. She could have said, "Sorry, I'm booked," and sent me on my merry way, but instead she sent over lists of her favorite makeup artists and stylists she could recommend, and I know she'd only recommend them if they were as wonderful as she is. It's incredibly unfortunate for me that she's booked for my wedding day, but extremely fortunate for whoever got to book her! 😄 I am sure working with Natasha would be a dream, and if I ever need makeup artistry in the future, I'll book her in a heartbeat.

Natasha is the absolute BEST!! I would recommend her over and over again. She made my day so easy and fun. I got married in Las Vegas in August, it was 109 the day we got married...
. The makeup and technique that Natasha used was so good that I did not need a touch up at all, even in that heat. I don't typically wear much makeup other then concealer and mascara and I was a little concerned that I wouldn't look like me with more makeup on. I looked amazing!!! I still looked like me, only better. She was able to bring out and accentuate my features without making me look like I had a lot of makeup on. My face didn't feel tight or heavy from the makeup, in fact I couldn't tell a difference until I looked at myself in the mirror. I felt so pretty!!!! Thank you Natasha Shipley for making my special day that much more special!!

and makeup on the actual wedding day, but we had a mishap with our photographer (a whole different story) and she recreated my hair and makeup so me and the hubby could take photos. She was very understanding and wanted to help me out. Love her to death and I would suggest her to anyone. I don't wear a lot of makeup and it didn't feel thick and cakey and it stayed on all night!!! Book her now.....you will not be disappointed.
My husband told me I looked like the perfect version of me on our wedding day and I have to pay a lot of credit to Natasha. She did an amazing job of bringing out all of mine and m...
y bridesmaids features and making us look/feel beautiful. The make up she used wasn't cakey and didn't make us look like we were too done up - just the right amount. She was a delight to spend the day getting ready next to. She was so organized with a timeline for each person based on how long it would take to do make up and have everyone ready to go for pictures at the same time. I received so many compliments on my hair and make up throughout the day/night. My make up and hair both stayed in place for the entire event with no retouching.
