We worked with Nate for our engagement photo session and loved the pictures so much that we made an album and used it as a guest sign in book at our wedding! Nate was very patient with edits and selection of images and was always ready to answer any questions we had. The quality of the album was very nice and we now feature it on our coffee tables in our home!

There are a million wonderful and amazing things about our wedding day, and Nate and Alex were absolutely one of those. They are incredibly professional while giving you a truly personal experience. They interact with everyone, capturing every moment, without ever getting in the way or distracting from the main event. Nate and Alex shot our engagement pictures as well as our wedding pictures and both have FAR exceeded our expectations. We discovered them at the Houston bridal expo in 2021 and were immediately captivated by how vibrant and full of life their photos were. We booked them and have absolutely no regrets. Seeing our own wedding day come to life once again through their images is something we will cherish forever. I can’t recommend Nate and Alex enough! I would book them again in a heartbeat. If you’re thinking about booking Nate & Alex for your wedding and engagement photos, just do it!! Hiring Nate and Alex was one of the best decisions for our wedding. Once we booked them, we didn’t worry about photos at all! We were confident that they would do an amazing job. We were specifically looking for vibrant, colorful photos and they delivered perfectly. The two of them are incredibly friendly and professional. The day of, they kept things moving and never slowed down the schedule, yet they captured way more photos than we could’ve imagined! Their unlimited model for photos and time took stress off our plate too. We also highly recommend renting their photobooth, which is really more like a mini studio right at your wedding. It was a HUGE hit at our wedding!! The photos turned out so well and guests were able to go online and download their own copies. Other photo booths produce grainy photos and/or only let you save the photos with a border around them or in a group of 3. With Nate & Alex’s photobooth, the photos turned out so well that 6 months later, I still have friends and family (and myself!) posting photos online of the day, printing them out for their walls at home, and talking about how they wished they’d taken more photos at the photobooth. As two awkward people who never seem to get a good picture, Nate and Alex gave us hundreds of amazing photos from the wedding and from our engagement shoot! They gave posing tips and coached us throughout both and it made a huge difference. Nate & Alex are worth every single penny!!! Your future self will thank you for hiring them!

Nate and his wife did an incredible job with our wedding! My husband and I are not very comfortable posing in front of a camera, but Nate gave us a lot of direction and made us feel at ease. He goes above and beyond to make sure your wedding day goes off without a hitch. We met and went over the timeline, he answered our endless questions, gave us helpful tips and tricks and even suggested places we could take engagement/wedding photos. His recommended videographer was incredible as well. He patiently and thoroughly walks you through every step of the way and makes a stressful process a lot easier. Not to mention, the photos turned out beautiful, vibrant, and captured our day perfectly. HIGHLY recommend going with Nate and his team. They are worth every penny.

We loved having Nate and Alex as our photographers for our wedding in October 2020 (they also did our engagement photos in 2019) and absolutely recommend them. They helped us navigate the wedding planning process, not just with photography but with many other aspects of planning. They gave us insight we hadn’t thought of before. When we postponed our wedding due to the pandemic, they were flexible and able to work with us through the nuances and challenges that postponing brought. They are professionals, easy to work with, and know exactly what they’re doing. We also highly recommend the photo station for the reception. Our guests had a great time with it (so did we!), and the quality of those pictures is the best we’ve ever seen from comparable photo booths. The process to review the photos after the wedding was easy and fun. We love our wedding photos; they are bright and colorful with all different types of lighting. We appreciated how Nate and Alex made sure to get different types of pictures, as well as shots with all of our guests. We ordered a beautiful keepsake album from Nate and Alex that we look through often, as well as several framed pictures that are displayed in our home so that we can see them every day. Nate and Alex are kind, talented people and a pleasure to work with.

Hiring Nate as our photographer was the best decision we made during our entire wedding planning process! Nate and Alex are truly a dream to work with. Their professionalism is top notch. They work SO well as a team together. Nate and Alex were incredible the whole way for our big day. We hired them for our engagement photos and wedding photos and couldn't have been happier with the results. My wife and I are not always the best at taking a bunch of photos but Nate is excellent at capturing organic moments and offering suggestions to make us feel at ease. His suggestions gave us a tons of moments and memories that we'll be able to cherish forever. On the big day, he brought positive energy, was always prompt, knew the schedule inside/out, and seamlessly incorporated himself throughout. He was excellent at capturing the set shoots (e.g. first look, bridal party, family, bride/groom, etc.), keeping people on schedule, and also excellent at capturing/framing so many candid moments throughout the ceremony and reception. After the wedding Nate communicated a clear timeline, provided an initial edited grouping of photos, gave us the option to look over the whole gallery (hundred and hundreds of photos) and select additional photos for extra editing, and finally gave us the full gallery of high-res images. I would recommend Nate to shoot anyone's engagement pictures/wedding. 6/5 stars.

Nate and Alex are, in a word, incredible. We got connected with them through a family member for our wedding photography and we couldn’t be happier. They are not only professional and incredibly responsive, but they are warm people and easy to work with. Flexible with times and dates to meet and always willing to pivot to make sure we got exactly what we wanted from the experience. We were supposed to get married during the beginning of 2020 and had to reschedule and juggle a bunch of things around. Messarra’s were so easy going and tried to make the transition as easy as possible. My husband and I can say that we have made great friends in Nate and Alex and plan to use them for all of our photography needs going forward.

I'm not sure how I found Nate and Alex but I'm so glad I did! I spent weeks looking for the right photographer for our wedding since I knew our photos would be the only thing that would last after the wedding day was over. This was a vendor I did not regret choosing. They took both our engagement photos and wedding photos. From the very beginning Nate was always available by phone to explain things to me and to answer any questions I had. He is definitely an experienced wedding photographer and knew what he was doing in both sessions. My husband and I haven't done anything like this before, but Nate made us feel comfortable and told us exactly what to do. We were so pleased with how the photos turned out! I feel like their photography style is more "classic" which is what we were looking for. They got all the "typical" wedding poses as well as candid shots which I also love. I didn't even notice them during the ceremony but they got beautiful shots of the whole ceremony, from beginning to end. Three months later we're still obsessed with our photos and our family and friends have seen nothing like it. We highly recommend Nate and Alex, especially for something as big as your wedding photos!

Nate and Alex were incredible to work with! They were quick to respond, kept everything well-organized AND their photos are AMAZING!!!! My wedding week was a bit chaotic due to COVID-19 and the daily changes and new restrictions it imposed. We even had to move our wedding up 24 hours!! Nate and Alex are amazing! I can’t say that enough. They went above and beyond on our wedding day and made everything so easy and less stressful. The day of our wedding, there was an issue with our cake and Nate stepped in to help like he was a seasoned baker! They did everything that we asked them for at 110% - Even if it made the schedule tight, they were more than willing. At the reception, whenever we wanted pictures with family and friends, it seemed like Nate and Alex were always there at the ready. We never had to go searching for them the entire night. Hiring Nate and Alex do to our wedding photography was probably the best decision we could have made. Not only are they both so kind, but they are also amazing photographers, and we couldn't be happier. We've only seen the sneak peeks so far (which they got to us a few days after our wedding - right before we left on our honeymoon), but they are just magical. Nate and Alex were both so easy to communicate with, really know their stuff, especially when it comes to figuring out the timeline (which i was so stressed about until Nate and I walked through it together), and they just make you feel so at ease even during the most hectic parts of your wedding day. They were so fun and honestly, when they arrived at my house to start taking the getting ready pictures, it felt more like they were friends who were there taking the pictures rather than just some people your hired to do wedding photography.  Nate and Alex went above and beyond to make sure that they captured not only beautiful but also visually interesting photos.   We also used the Photo Station, which was absolutely a hit! Rather than just a photo booth, they have a professional attendant (Nate and Alex traded off in our case) who gives suggestions to the photo takers, which ended up in some hilarious photos. And the quality of the photos was very professional - we got them the day after our wedding and it was so fun to go through and see how much fun all our friends were having - the Photo Station absolutely a MUST!! Finally, we also used the videography service. I was a little bit nervous that having two photographers and two videographers would make the wedding feel like a production, since we were having a fairly low key wedding, but it was one of the best decisions we made - to be honest, unless we were specifically doing photos, i didn't even notice any of the videographers or the photographers - they managed to completely be in the background while capturing everything. And the sneak peak video that we received along with the photos was just so beautiful and I can't wait to see the whole thing!  So, if it wasn't apparent by this ridiculously long review - definitely hire Nate and Alex - you will not regret it!

Nate & Alex are both SO much fun, very down to earth and crazy talented. They are pros at remaining perfectly calm and staying 100% on schedule during the chaos. My husband and I had an absolute blast shooting with them throughout the whole night. It's really cool looking back and not only having beautiful pictures of the best day ever, but knowing we (and our wedding party) truly had fun with the people behind the cameras. Nate and Alex are wonderful to work with. They captured so many special moments at my daughter’s wedding. The pictures came out fabulous. It was the best money we spent. They were on time, easy to work with, and you hardly noticed them at the reception, yet they captured all the fun. And we had pictures after the wedding within a couple weeks. Quality photography was one aspect of our wedding that was extremely important to us. We met with several photographers who seemed great, but something was missing. Then we met Nate. It was like talking with an old friend and we knew immediately that we needed him to shoot our wedding. While a little more expensive than the other photographers we looked at, he and his wife Alex are worth EVERY PENNY. From amazing engagement photos to an awesome photo booth that was the hit of the wedding, it was amazing working with them. They even have you over to their home and provide snacks and drinks while you review the photos. If you every need professional photography do yourself a favor and hire Nate!

I do not think I can say wonderful enough things about Nate and Alex! They are not only wonderful to work with but their work is just incredible! We did a lot of research of what we were looking for since after all the planning you only have your photos as your memories! They truly capture the day and the feelings all around! I highly recommend any couple using them!

We loved working with Nate & Alex! Not only are they talented photographers, but they are wonderful and kind people as well. They provided lots of ideas for poses and places to take photos which was perfect, because I had no ideas at all! There are not enough words, stars, and exclamation points to express how extremely thrilled and beyond satisfied we are with having the incredible art and skills of Nate and Alex to show in our priceless wedding pictures. We did a lot of research on the front end. From the beginning, we were drawn to the fact Alex and Nate are a husband and wife team and also sensitive/understanding to religious ceremonies. Not just that but they had the professionalism and portfolio of a more “corporate” photography company but they were so personable and approachable that it felt like we hired friends. They were the only photographers we met with in person because honestly, they had everything we were looking for (and more). On the ride home, we were both ready to sign the contract. One thing that I absolutely had to have was a photo booth. I wanted one that have the ability to print out pictures that guests could take home. I even went out of my way to specifically look this option up when looking at photographers. After having had such a fantastic first meeting with Nate and Alex, I figured I would give in and just see what would happen. Well, it was the biggest payoff of all my wedding planning “compromises”. It turned out to be such a hit!!! I didn’t know until a few days before the wedding what the exact set up would be. Nate had a screen where the pictures would be displayed almost instantaneously high up so all wedding guests could see. The best part of all this??? The quality of the photos…WOWOWOWOW!!! Everyone looked like flawless movie stars. None of the pictures were blurry from movement at all. Those that weren’t dancing said the photos was the best feature they had ever seen at a wedding. We also got a link to the photo booth pictures not even 3 days after. We were bombarded with messages on our honeymoon with how incredibly awesome the pictures were. Lastly, the attention to detail on their behalf is phenomenal. How many photographers would invite you into their home, provide wine and treats and ask for your favorite songs so as to provide the perfect environment for you and your husband (and only you two, they stepped away) to look at all of your wedding photos for the first time. As we left, we were gifted with the most beautiful flash drive (you have to see it for yourself) that had every single picture we had taken. From first engagement picture to last wedding picture and all in between. From our scheduling engagement session to the big day, Nate and Alex were a perfect mix of approachability and reassurance all while letting us have creative freedom and enhancing what we had in mind, without being pushy. The wedding pictures were the number one most important thing to me, even more so than my dress. I can honestly say Nate and Alex exceeded my high expectations of our wedding pictures. They were one of the few things I did not have to stress over from start to finish. I have the fortunate problem of not being able to figure out which ones I want to order and display. I know that these pictures will be displayed in so many homes, so many places and for some many years. Without a doubt, the best wedding gift we received were Nate and Alex’s beautiful, timeless photographs.

We loved working with Nate and Alex! From our engagement session to the wedding, everything was perfect. The photo station at the reception was a big hit!! Everyone had so much fun taking pictures. They provide all the props, as well. And, we loved being able to see all the pictures on display on a big screen. The pictures are up on their website for the guests to access right away. It was such an excellent addition to our reception!

Amazing!!! That is what everyone said about my wedding photos!!! Nate and Alex were absolutely wonderful to work with. They did our engagement and wedding photos. I opted out on the bridal session because I wanted to be completely surprised on my wedding day. Nate and Alex suggested that I could still have my bridal portraits done on my wedding day. Nate and Alex are the most fun and wonderful husband and wife team. They have a beautiful and amazingly artistic eye and were truly a pleasure to work with!! My mom and brother are both artists, so choosing a photographer that met their approval was a serious task! Additionally, neither my husband or I are particularly comfortable in front of the camera, yet they were able to get us to relax and capture some truly wonderful pics... and they even were patient in working with our 2 LARGE and crazy dogs for our engagement session. Nate worked with us to design a package that was perfect for our needs, and Alex was wonderful in helping design our albums. They respond very promptly to any inquiries, keep you posted throughout the process, and while very personable, remain extremely professional. We are beyond thrilled with the photos from our special day and will treasure them for years to come!!

Nate Messarra Photography has been the best decision I've made when planning my June 27, 2015 wedding. Everything I requested was captured and not to mentioned the quality of the pictures are beyond beautiful! The photobooth was a success in my wedding! Every single guest in my wedding mentioned how much fun they had and how much they loved the pictures.Many of my guest ended up purchasing their photos from the photobooth and used them as their family picture due to the amazing quality. We were thrilled with our entire experience with Nate and Alex. We used them for engagements, bridals, day of and photo booth. All of the pictures turned out amazing. On the day of, they were able to capture everything we wanted without being intrusive to the flow of the day which was very important to us. We got all of the standard family and bridal party photos, as well as lots of candid photos that really capture the spirit of the day for us. They were creative and also let us have as much input as we wanted. And they also worked really well with our other vendors like videographer and planner. The communication with them afterwards was easy as well. Our package included an album for us and our parents, ensuring the photos aren't trapped on our computer without being seen. The album they laid out was beautiful and they use a great quality vendor to print. We highly recommend working with Nate and Alex!

Choosing Nate Messarra Photography as our photographers was the best decision we could have made. The married team were absolutely fabulous to work with and took amazing photos for our engagements, bridals, and wedding. We loved the natural feel of their photos and the quality is perfect. I also highly suggest using their Photobooth Station! Our guests LOVED this aspect of our reception and I am so glad we chose the package that included it. Nate and Alex were our wedding photographers and truly were a joy to work with from beginning to end. The pictures were beautiful. Hi there! We booked Nate and Alex for our August 2014 wedding and cannot say enough good things about the two of them and the service we received! The guests at my wedding were OBSESSED with the photo booth and continued to rave about how fun it was for weeks (they are still talking about it in September!). Nate and Alex captured every.single.moment of our wedding. I mean, I don't think I ever saw them take a break! I loved that they caught pictures of my husband and I throughout the night and our guests as well! I also booked my engagement photos through them and it was such an amazing experience. They were so fun to shoot with, they gave me plenty of direction, and got a ton of photos. Nate and Alex were so much fun to work with!! We had an engagement session, bridal session and wedding photos that were all absolutely amazing!! Nate and Alex were so helpful throughout the whole process and always responded to phone calls and emails very quickly. They were sure to get all of the pictures we wanted and had some awesome ideas that we loved!! Every moment of our wedding was captured and looking through the pictures allowed us to relive the entire day over again!!! Nate and Alex did a great job on our engagement pictures and were really fun to work with! Our session was only suppose to be 2 hours but they spent extra time with us trying out some photos writing with LED lights. They were flexible in meeting us at our desired location, Buffalo Bayou, and walked around to get different settings. Our first appointment was rained out and they were quick to reschedule us for another date. The only thing I wish we had done different was more variety in our posses. However, we have at least 30 photos that we really love so you can't complain about that! Thank you Nate and Alex for the time that you spent with us and the great photos we have to document our engagement!

Nate and Alex did an absolutely amazing job on my wedding. I chose one of the package deals and they were so great to work with. For our engagement/bridal session, Nate gave me some beautiful options for locations (because I was clueless) and the pictures turned out amazing. During the sessions, they helped us pose and look our absolute best. During the wedding, both Nate and Alex were so incredibly helpful, I doubt it would have gone as smoothly without them! They were sensitive to my needs and nerves and I can't wait to see how the pictures turned out, but I am confident they caught every moment with perfection. The photo booth was also a HUGE hit! My guests has so much fun there and I loved being able to see those pictures while we were still on the honeymoon! Everything about this photographer is great. I really appreciated their help, even before the wedding, but especially during!

We were married in November, and don't think we could have had a better photographer. They captured each moment perfectly. Nate was so easy to work with, and he made the entire process very enjoyable. My fiancé and I had no idea what we were doing, but thankfully Nate was able to guide us through every step. I recently worked with Nate (and his wife, Alex) for three sessions. Engagements, bridals, and wedding photography. Not only are they incredibly professional, they're SO much fun to work with! We are so happy with our pictures. Nate successfully captured us in our portraits. Nothing was cliche or boring, Nate really found a way to communicate our personalities through film. He made us feel like stars. He didn't push us to do anything we were uncomfortable with, either. Lots of photographers are pushy, he just suggests ideas and moves on if it's not something that suits your tastes. One special thing that Nate and Alex did was take some time to go through my wedding board on Pinterest. As a bride there's a LOT to think about, especially on the wedding day. I was concerned with a lot of things and really put specific photo ideas on the back-burner, but when Nate arrived he had a packet of paper that had several pictures on it from my Pinterest board. It was so kind and so unexpected for them to take the time to do this for me. It made the photo shoot before the ceremony so much more relaxed and fun. I'll definitely urge my friends to use Nate when it's time for their big day.
