n did our engagement photo session in March 2016 and our wedding photos in July 2016. When I started this whole wedding planning thing, one piece of advice I received early on was - make sure you hire a photographer that you feel comfortable with, because he's going to be everywhere you are on your wedding day, and if you don't like this person around all the time then it'll show in your photos! So we looked at 6-7 different photographers and narrowed down to 2 finalists - Nathan and someone else. We ended up going with Nathan because from the second we met him, we already felt so comfortable with him like we've known each other for a long time. Nathan was always SUPER responsive to emails - I'm talking a response within an hour most of the time. And my goodness, he's just so talented. He's definitely an artist. When we got our engagement photos back we were more than pleased with the result. And we just got our wedding photos back last week and MY GOD they are amazing. We love every single photo he took, and the way he tells a story with his photos... it's pure genius. I know he's always challenging himself too to get better, which I appreciate because I wouldn't want to hire someone who is complacent. I'd definitely say Nathan has more of a dramatic and documentary style and not so much the boring posed photography. That's why he's able to capture some awesome shots because he's kinda just always there to make sure all the memorable moments are recorded. My husband and I often call him a ninja because on our wedding day, we honestly didn't know where Nathan was half the time because he wasn't in our face trying to take photos. And yet when the photos came back, they proved that he was everywhere we were!! Anyway. If you're looking to hire a photographer, definitely go with Nathan. We're actually so sad now that our work with Nathan is done because we just love working with him!

For our engagement shoot, I had a few ideas that I floated by Nathan, he replied quickly with research about each place's rules on photography, any fees, and then suggested other places more photo friendly! We ended up taking photos in 3 different locations in downtown LA. The day of the wedding could not have been easier! He and his second photographer were there early and seemed to already know all the cool spots for photos in the hotel. They were super accommodating with my idea for a first look and made it beautiful. Then, I couldn't believe this... They gave us a ride to our wedding venue! We said we were going to Uber and Nathan so sweetly offered to drive us. Who does that?! Nathan Nowack does. The photos we came out with are fantastic. Seeing Nathan's different techniques, his use of the environment and even household materials (shiny teapots, glasses, glowsticks) was really inspiring. Nathan's email communication is so prompt and professional. We even had issues with our photos getting delivered after our wedding (not Nathan's fault, whoever stole it off our doorstep), and Nathan launched into tracking the package through the carrier and sent us a new set. He says he doesn't do maternity or baby photos, but I think after the birth of his son and by the time we get a bun in the oven Nathan might have expanded his repertoire... I look forward to that maternity shoot ;) I feel like this review is all over the place, but there is just so much good in Nathan Nowack I don't know how to get it out in an orderly manner! Thank you, Nathan, for making us look good!!

the moment in a truly unique way. After that, it was his demeanor and his attention to what we wanted from him as our photographer that caused us to go with him. Another huge plus for us was his straight forward pricing in his packages, we felt that we got a great service at a great value. We had some ideas of what we wanted for our engagement session, but what Nathan captured for us was well beyond what we expected. All we really told him was the general are that we wanted to have our pictures, and the day of the shoot, he already had a solid idea of what he was going to shoot. Needless to say, we were very happy with our engagement photos, as well as the online hosting service that he provides. The day of our wedding, Nathan was at the venue with his assistant setting up early and capturing some amazing shots. From the images of us getting ready, to the images of our ceremony, to the images of our guests enjoying the reception; they did an amazing job. When we got to see our images, we were blown away at what we got; you would have thought there were 3+ photographers there by the amount of images and angles they got. We received the final images in a beautiful personalized USB drive in a personalized box, both very nice touches. We did not originally plan on purchasing an album, but based off what we received, we are most likely going to. I make a point to leave honest, balanced feedback, but I honestly have nothing but great things to say about Nathan Nowack photography. You will not be disappointed by making the choice to have him photograph your special day!!

s what stood out to us the most during our meeting. He was so attentive to our needs and made us feel assured that our day would be a success. He never rushed us during our meeting either, which was something we encountered with other photography companies. Just by looking through Nathan’s portfolio, we could see that he had such a one-of-a-kind eye for art. Other photographers can take pretty pictures, but Nathan can take a moment and make it magical through his lens. On our wedding day, Nathan went above and beyond, arriving early and even staying late! He was also such a pleasant person to work with—he knew exactly how and where to position us and gave easy-to-follow directions. Most importantly, he made us feel comfortable the entire time, not awkward at all! Nathan also edited our photos so quickly (and meticulously) and they were GORGEOUS! He even gave us some preview photos in less than two weeks so we could create our thank you post cards early. All of our guests were impressed with how the photos came out and we loved how Nathan captured all of the moments we missed, especially the little details. Nathan definitely puts his clients first and his passion for photography can be seen in his work. We had so many “wow-factor” photos from our wedding and we are so happy that we found Nathan.
