All furniture at the National Union Building, such as ceremony chairs and reception tables, must be coordinated through your wedding planner. The building: this masterpiece on the block of 9th and F street was designed and built in 1890 by Glenn Brown and originally served as the home of the National Union Fire Insurance Company. In more recent history, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990 and is a contributing property to the Downtown Historic District. It served as LivingSocial’s “experience” building after its renovation in 2013 and is one of the only dedicated historic event and wedding venues in Washington, DC.
