We're a husband & wife photography business specializing in portraits & weddings. We have traveled to over 20 states & 4 different countries for photo shoots! We love meeting new couples, and being there to capture their most important memories. We work mostly with natural light and gorgeous natural elements to create our images, but we are also known for our signature night-lighting shots. We help couples plan their timeline so we have adequate time for photos and make their day as stress-free as possible. Absolutely adore Kelsey! She will forever be our photographer! She captures every shot we could want and handles tough situations with patience and grace! Our biggest wedding day regret is not having Kelsey do our wedding so hopefully this review can save you from the disappointment I have! I did refer my friend to her for her wedding and her photos came out so perfect ! And to add to her amazing photos, she does truly wonderful with kiddos if you have any!

Kelsey did a fantastic job getting photos of my groom and I on our wedding day. Despite the weather being overcast and rainy, the pictures turned out phenomenal and we couldn’t be happier! Kelsey was there for me anytime I needed her and also understood my frustrations with the weather and helped to make it better on an already stressful day. She made sure to get family photos in, as well as bridal party photos during the time we had available in between reception and ceremony. We also got to sneak away to get some night time shots down by the water which were amazing and such a great experience! Hiring Natural Escape Photography for your wedding day is an absolute must. I also recommend that you get your engagement photos with her as well as we had an awesome session in the Badlands! Thanks Kelsey!

Kelsey was nothing but good to us throughout the entire wedding planning process! She made getting photographed fun and personal! She made sure to get all the photos we were wanting and more. She even took a highlight video for us last minute and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out! Happy tears everytime we watch it. If you want a hardworking, professional, caring, talented and fun photographer - Kelsey is your girl! And as for her assistants - they couldn't be better! Sophie helped on our wedding day and I've seen Tom helping with other weddings. They both do a phenomenal job and are great help and photographers. Words can not express how remarkable Kelsey and her team are. From the moment we booked with her she went above and beyond a “typical” vendor. She helped us plan our engagement pictures, locations for them and even helped pick out our outfits. Kelsey treats you more like a best friend than a client. She gave us input as to what vendors we needed so we could have the A team of vendors for our special day. Any advice we needed along the way, guess what.... Kelsey was our go to girl, she even gave us advice in regards to our honeymoon to Florida. Kelsey and Sophie did an incredible job from the moment we got to our venue until it was over and everyone was leaving. Their eyes for details and attention to those details is what really sets them apart from other photographers. Things ran a little behind schedule right away but they made sure everyone was looped in and we all knew where to be and when to be there. They split up and photographed each party getting ready and then they tag teamed the first look. These two know a thing or two about photography. There wasn’t an angle or ray of light that wasn’t used to make our pictures the greatest they could be. We had them for 10 hours and they made sure everything was to the timeline and they really should be charging extra for their wedding planner skills. We got our pictures (1300) edited and returned in under a month and they were perfect. Being able to see the finished product with the amount of time that they put into them is just incredible. Kelsey and Sophie are two of the best people we have ever met. They really took their time getting to know the guests they made everyone feel like they were apart of our big day. They danced and played with the kids and had a fun time all while taking pictures. We would highly recommend Natural Escape Photography to everyone looking for photographers and best friends.

My original wedding photographer had to cancel just 3 or 2 months before my wedding. Kelsey stepped in and gave us pictures that I will cherish forever! She helped us find a plan my husband and I could afford and treated us like we’ve been her clients from the beginning of the engagement process. She was so easy to work with and was very go with the flow with all the wedding day bumps (and trust me there was a lot!) I also fractured my ankle the month of my wedding and was so worried about how my pictures were going to turn out as I was in an ugly boot. Kelsey and her assistant made me feel like an absolute princess and the pictures reflect it. 💛💛 I truly can not say enough nice things about Natural Escape Photography. I’m so grateful we booked with such a talented photographer!

Kelsey did such an amazing job and we couldn't be happier with our pictures! From the start, Kelsey took charge and reassured us that she would help get (and keep!) our day rolling and that she would capture all the detail we wanted without us worrying about what to do (as we had no idea!). Rest assured, she kept us organized throughout the day, and we got all the photos we wanted, and even the ones we'd never imagined! She was excellent posing the wedding party, detailed and caring with capturing the family and pre-wedding preparations, got some awesome dancing pictures, and captured some amazing starlight shots for us that we now have proudly blown-up and hung on the walls of our home :) My husband and I aren't naturals when it comes to posing for pictures, and Kelsey was an expert at getting us situated just right to really capture the moment. Our photos turned out great, are light and airy, and really capture the essence of our big day in the Black Hills. Overall we would HIGHLY recommend Kelsey and Natural Escape Photography!

Kelsey and Tom did an absolutely amazing job shooting our wedding! From the beginning Kelsey was so great to work with. My husband doesn't enjoy having his pictures taken but she was able to make him feel comfortable and have fun from the beginning of our engagement shoot to the end of our wedding day. Kelsey went above and beyond on our wedding day and made sure to get every single shot that we wanted. Throughout the day she was checking in with both my husband and me to make sure there wasn't a shot that we were still needing. She even asked my bridesmaids if they had any particular shot they wanted done. Kelsey got STUNNING photos of every detail and moment of our wedding and she was an absolute delight to work with! I have been in weddings that Kelsey has shot and that made me want her as our photographer because you can consistently see how dedicated and professional she is. Kelsey worked great with all of my other vendors and I received so many compliments on how kind she was. She even stayed later than her contracted time for us to capture a photo we wanted at the very end of the night! Our pictures turned out amazing and we are so grateful we have such beautiful images that we will be able to look back on and share with our family for years to come! We will definitely be using Kelsey as our photographer for every big moment in our life from this point forward. If I could giver her more than 5 stars I would in a heartbeat!!

Kelsey was an amazing photographer to work with! She captured our wedding day perfectly! My husband is not a big fan of pictures (as most people can probably relate) but she made the process so smooth and easy going that my husband actually enjoyed the process. After being a COVID bride who had to postpone my entire wedding a year, my biggest advice to future brides is to choose vendors that truly care about their clients and their wedding days. I found that with Kelsey and she listened to everything I wanted for my wedding day and made it happen. I cannot recommend her enough to future brides! Worth every single penny! She is amazing and I would give her 10+ stars if I could!!

Kelsey and Tom did a fantastic job and were so easy to work with. We did not do a first look so we had a crunch time to get all the photos done after the ceremony and they made it happen. Our pictures turned out amazing which was one of the most important things to us because the photos are your memories to relive for a lifetime. We couldn't have picked a better photographer to go with! Both of their energy and attitude was amazing the entire day and night. ALSO- do the video! Our video turned out AMAZING and much better than we could have thought!! You will not be disappointed! Another thing I want to mention is how fast we received our video and images back- we got them within 2 weeks of our wedding which was faster than we expected! Highly recommend!! :)

Kelsey & Tom are always so amazing. I have used them for our special moments for the last 3 years and will never go to anyone else. They are always so easy to work with and when plans changes they change accordingly with no questions asked. I would give 10 stars if I could.

Kelsey and Tom were seriously so wonderful!!! Kelsey was there every step of the way wedding day and helped me relax when I was overwhelmed!! They also did our highlight video, which is seriously amazing!! If anyone is wanting a video go through them and have them do it with your regular wedding pictures. They were seriously so great to work with and provided great laughs to all!! Everything turned out perfect because we trusted our day to them. ❤️❤️

Kelsey was so amazing to work with! She made us both feel comfortable in our engagement shoot and throughout our entire wedding day! My husband even commented on how much he enjoyed having her as our photographer because she made it fun (even though he was dreading pictures!). She helped take away so much stress and worry throughout the entire process and she gave us beautiful photos that we will forever cherish!! Her work is such an amazing talent and you will never regret the decision to hire her for such an important piece of your special day. We had the most beautiful and perfect day and she helped capture it in a way we will never forget!

Kelsey and Tom were the perfect choice for us for our wedding! Kelsey drafted up a timeline that helped make everything go so smoothly. She is so much fun and I know everyone at my wedding had a great experience with her and her husband! I absolutely LOVE our photos and we have enjoyed working with them from start to finish! She was definitely an integral part of making our day absolutely perfect. I am sure I will have her take more photos in the future! I would highly recommend!

Kelsey has been nothing short of amazing in the lead up to our big day! We just got our engagement photos done last week and it was cold and rainy but the only day we could do it and she made them look amazing!! We're an out of town wedding so the coordination for everything has been a lot but Kelsey is always helpful and flexible ! <3

Kelsey and Tom of Natural Escape Photography are fun, easy going, and totally committed to making your wedding and photos memorable and totally special!! Kelsey is bubbly and so sweet; and she always makes sure to get all the photos she can!! The pictures we received in two weeks (following our Sunday wedding) and they were beautiful and very well done! I recommend NE photography to anyone looking to get married in the black hills!
