I have been happy with Paula’s craft now on two occasions! Most recently, Paula was patient and flexible in working with my wedding party and me prior to and on the day of my weddi...
ng to ensure that we were all happy with how we looked on the big day! She truly accentuated our natural beauty without changing what we really look like; this is very important to her but she also listened to me in terms of my vision how I wanted myself to look. She even stayed late for a bridesmaid of mine who needed to get her makeup done an hour+ after the rest of the group (and did so skillfully while the bridesmaid was also getting her hair done!), which was incredibly appreciated.
Paula did such a fantastic job on my wedding day!! She and her team arrived promptly, made us all look beautiful, and made the morning getting ready so enjoyable! Definitely have P...
aula do your makeup, you will look beautiful!
As an older bride, who works with horses and is more comfortable in jeans and boots than organza and heels, I was very unsure about being able to find a makeup artist who could he...
lp me achieve my goal - to knock his socks off with a beautiful yet natural, not overdone but still glamorous look on the Big Day. Mother Nature is generally my stylist, and she's temperamental on a Good day, so I knew I'd be a challenge. But, deep down I really want to look like a beautiful woman on my Wedding Day, not just an overblown, heavily spackled barn girl. To add to the problem, I live out of state, with a crazy work schedule, so finding time to get together for a run through would be tricky....
Enter the extremely gifted and professional Paula Young, and her amazingly talented hair stylist partner, Tina Scalera. These two wonderful women smiled, listened carefully to my concerns, then took this weathered barn girl, with Einstein hair and windswept skin, and wreaked miracles. With kindness, patience, calm assurance and gentle laughter, they guided me through this uncharted territory of skin tone, air brushing, hair brushing, color and curl, and actually made me look, and feel, like a confident and beautiful bride!
I never thought it was possible, but without sanding or spackle, they used their considerable talents and experience to create a look for me that was entirely me, just...refined, with a touch of elegance, and genuine beauty that took me by surprise.
They worked around my crazy schedule to allow me to come in for my trial run. They did not rush, they listened to all of my questions, doubts and concerns, and then they simply worked miracles! I have NO DOUBT that he will be completely bowled over in November, when he sees me as his Bride for the first time, thanks in a large part to these two amazing ladies.
LOOK NO FURTHER if you want to look and feel beautiful on YOUR special day, these ladies are the REAL DEAL, true professionals who will help you achieve just what you're hoping for!
I am so glad I found Natural Look Bridal Makeup. The team is professional and great at listening to you. I felt beautiful and the makeup lasted all night. I highly recommend Paula...
and her team. She also works with a great hair stylist.
Paula is a very sweet, passionate, and talented artist! She did my make up (along with several other ladies in my bridal party and my mom) and everyone looked BEAUTIFUL! We all had...
airbrush done, which I highly recommend because it really feels like nothing is on your face.
That said, just make sure to be clear about timing the morning of. We were running very late and unfortunately it cut into time for photos. In addition, while I was doing photos, I started to tear up (from happiness and excitement of course) and some of my makeup came off with the tears, which looked odd. My photographer had to go around asking people if they had cover-up for my tear streaks. Thankfully someone did but it obviously wasn't a perfect match. My lashes also came off when I lifted the veil at the ceremony and therefore I didn't have them for the rest of the night. That just may be due to the glue not being secure enough..
Paula did an amazing job for my spring wedding! I found her at the last minute and I’m so glad I chose her to do my makeup. Paula was very professional and punctual. The day of my ...
wedding she came right on time ready to start. She did my makeup as well as my mother and three bridesmaids and everyone looked beautiful! We all chose the airbrushed makeup which I must say felt amazing on my skin! It was not heavy or cakey at all and it lasted the entire day. I wanted a very natural but elegant look and Paula definitely delivered. My husband could not stop telling me how beautiful I looked and was so happy that I opted for a natural look. I would definitely use Paula again and most certainly will recommend Paula to family/friends.
Paula did an absolutely gorgeous job on my makeup for my wedding. I chose to work with Paula because I wanted to look like me, just enhanced and Paula delivered! My makeup looked...
flawless and very natural and looked as beauftiful in person as it did in pictures. During the trial, Paula showed me what the makeup would look like in different kinds of lighting, which I thought was very smart. Paula is very professional, warm and relaxed, just what you need on your special day. I would highly recommend her.

I had a trial with Paula and did not book her services as a result of how the trial went. She bills herself as a "natural look" makeup artist, but that isn't accurate. She starte...
d by putting what she called "the minimum amount of makeup" on me and said we could add from there. The minimum amount was already darker and heavier than I wanted. She matched the foundation to the tone of my darkest freckles rather than to my regular skin tone because she thought the freckles needed to be covered up. And the eye makeup was black. She actually argued with me when I said that it was too dark. Not impressed.
I booked Paula for my makeup and was introduced to Tina, the hair stylist, through her website. Together they make the perfect team!! Paula made all my bridesmaids and myself feel...
absolutely beautiful! I also loved that see is so easy going that it was simple to let her know exactly what I wanted and to just hold a conversation with her. She certainly kept me calm that morning.

ok I am going for. I enjoy wearing make-up but was concerned about not looking like myself. I met with Paula for my trial recently and she easily created the perfect look for my wedding while explaining along the way and showing me how I looked in different styles of lighting that I will likely encounter at my wedding. I booked her on the spot for my wedding. I can't wait for the day of my wedding because I can be confident the make-up will enhance how I look that day and not be overpowering. I would highly recommend Paula for anyone but especially those who aim for a more natural wedding look
Paula was amazing. She was professional, prompt and made myself and my bridesmaids look stunning for our day. The make up lasted well over 12 hours and the pictures came out fantas...
tic. It was just enough make up to make us pop but still look like ourselves. I would recommend Paula in an absolute heartbeat. Thank you for being a part of my day!

id 5 girls in maybe 4 hours. The airbrush lasted all day and night - I had mine done first at like 9:30 am and had no issues but reapplying lips. Photos looked great as well. Really happy I found her!

nd she made me feel so confident in her ability, and I was so pleased with the job she did. She made my bridesmaids and I look so beautiful. Not only did she do a great job, but she made me feel very calm and collected the morning of my wedding. If you're looking for someone to give you a very natural, but long lasting look, Paula is the way to go!
The overall experience that I had with Paula was extremely positive and I am more than satisfied with her work. From discussing Paula's reasonable prices to the big day in which sh...
e did the makeup for myself, my mom, two bridesmaids, and grandmother, Paula was kind, patient, funny and professional. She responded to my inquiries immediately as she was a pleasure to work with.
Aside from Paula's fun personality and professionalism, her work exceeded my expectations. My bridal makeup highlighted my natural features and it looked (and felt!) fresh and flawless. My two sisters, one who is 17 and the other 13, both looked radiant and their makeup was age appropriate. Despite having an outdoor ceremony in 85 degree heat, at the end of the evening everyone's makeup looked as it did when it was first done that morning.
In the midst of the hectic wedding day morning, Paula was calm and paid extra attention to my grandmother who has dementia. She laughed along with my grandmother and made her feel elegant and glamorous. Paula's kindness in that respect was very touching.
It is clear that Paula possess the skills to excel in the wedding makeup industry. I would recommend Paula for any bride-to-be as she truly went above and beyond in her work.
I found Paula through The Knot a few months before my wedding. She did a great job with my bridal makeup, as well as for my mom and MIL. She took the time to listen to my vision du...
ring the makeup trial at her house and I was very happy with how it came out on the actual day. The makeup lasted through the entire event flawlessly. As a non-make up wearer, I really wanted to go as minimal as possible, but I trusted Paula's expertise to go with a little more than I was comfortable and I know our pictures will be better because of it. Her pricing is competitive for Long Island. She connected me to her hair person, Tina, who I ended up using, and also being very happy with. Being able to do a hair and makeup trial at the same time was super convenient. Would definitely recommend Paula to future brides!
Anyone looking for a more natural bridal makeup look will LOVE Paula. After having my first makeup trial, I came out looking nothing like myself so I decided to try something more ...
natural. When I contacted Paula, she was prompt and polite from the beginning. When I got to her house for her trial, I saw that she had every single thing in every possible shade. She was very knowledgeable about what would work with my skintone and what wouldn't. She even gave me tips to think about that I hadn't realized. She was able to show me what my makeup would look like in photographs (bright light), in natural light, and in candle light. I was very impressed with her knowledge and professionalism.

g but I also wanted a "natural look" so that I felt comfortable. I had two disappointing trials before finding Paula, but I'm so glad I kept searching and found her. Paula truly listened to me and understood what I was looking for. I was so happy after my trial with her. She and her assistant did the makeup for my 4 bridesmaids, my mom, my mother-in-law, and me - everyone loved it! I felt beautiful but also comfortable with the makeup. I highly recommend Paula Young, you won't be disappointed!

All the best,

From the minute I spoke with Paula for the first time, I knew she was going to be the one for me!!! We met for my trial a little over 6 months before my wedding day, and she just ...
made me feel so comfortable! She was so easy to talk and laugh with, and she really listened to what look I was going for, and kept me within my comfort zone! She even attended to my husband's needs...since he doesn't like lip gloss - she found another way to make my lips pop without using the gloss! I wish I could post pictures on here to show you the before and after! I never once felt like I even HAD makeup on, which is a plus since I'm very low-maintenance and don't wear that much to begin with! Especially since I knew I'd be in the sun and then dancing a lot...I didn't want to be sweaty and have it all melt off! I really felt absolutely gorgeous...she didn't mask me - but rather enhanced me! I will recommend her to any bride I know, heck...anyone who's looking for a makeup artist for any occasion!! She really is one in a million! Thank you SO MUCH for everything Paula!! :-)

ula and thought I would splurge for one more trial. I am so glad I did because Paula was great! Very knowledgable and easy to talk to. She explained everything she was doing as she did it, and also made notes to use on the wedding day. My makeup came out wonderful!. It wasn't heavy and cakey like my previous trials. She also showed me how the makeup would look in different types of light which was neat! Paula was also very flexible with my needs/concerns as far as booking the final details for my wedding day, which I appreciated very much! She put me at ease and I am really looking forward to working with her on my wedding day!!

my family house in Long Beach, NY I knew the stars were aligning for me. However, after our amazing bridal trial, I knew I had made the right choice.
Paula has a wonderful salon in her home complete with full lighting for indoor/outdoor so you can see what you'll look like in all types of light. She advised me based on my skin tone what would look best, but also adjusted and tweaked my makeup based on my personal preferences.
She came to our house on the day of fully prepped and on time and took wonderful care of my bridesmaid and mom as well. I was worried on the day of that the faux eyelashes would feel heavy and fake, but I didn't even feel a thing, she definitely knows what she's doing! Paula was so professional and sweet with myself and my bridal party. My makeup was so natural and I looked like myself but enhanced and glowing!
Highly recommend... and her price point was exactly what I saw myself spending. I was a very happy bride. Thanks Paula!

e her specialty! I did a trial with Paula and she had natural lighting midday/evening and candle light to show me how the make up would look throughout the day. My bridesmaids also got their make up done and couldn't have been happier. Everyone still looked like themselves but just more polished. If you are looking for a natural look, I definitely recommend Paula!

I came across Paula on The Knot and was drawn to her because of her business name. I am not one to wear a lot of makeup and I was really nervous about looking for a makeup artist ...
for my wedding coming up in July. I had a free trial with a makeup company back in January just for fun with a few of my bridesmaids and it was horrible! I looked like a completely different person and I didn’t like that person. I looked fake, the makeup felt so thick and uncomfortable, and I couldn’t get it off fast enough. I wanted to feel like myself the day of the wedding (with a little something special). When I met with Paula for my trial, she made me feel so comfortable and my worries started to disappear. She made me look natural, yet elegant. I loved that I still looked like me, with a little something different for the big day. Paula’s intention was to enhance my natural beauty, rather than cover up my flaws. My mom also came with me for the trial and she never wears makeup. She didn’t think she wanted to have it done the day of the wedding. I am so used to her without makeup on, so we didn’t think we would like it. However, she decided to give it a try and we were both amazed by how it made her look and feel. My mom ended up looking even more beautiful than I always think she looks. She also has very sensitive skin and none of the products that Paula used bothered her. I am really looking forward to having Paula do our makeup (and my sister and friend’s makeup) the day of my wedding…I am confident that I found the right person. I can’t wait to feel like me…with a little something special for the big day of course.
Paula did a great job with my wedding make-up. She kept it natural just the way I wanted and it felt so light like I was hardly wearing any!
What a Unique Experience! to have my makeup applied by someone else other than me! I trusted Paula immediately! after having a leisurely conversation of the facial makeup that was ...
natural and yet gave me the Bridal glow & Polished Look I wanted on my Wedding day and that is what I joyously received!.
I will, in the future call upon Paula for my special affairs! I'm glad I found her on THE KNOT!!!!
I met Paula Young at a business event on Long Island. We immediately got to talking about how Paula wants all of her clients to look natural with her make-up application. I liked P...
aula instantly for her friendly personality. I explained that my niece was having a Sweet 16 Birthday Party at Madame Tussaude Wax Museum in NYC. I told Paula that as a gift to my niece, I was given her & some of the girls on her traveling soccer team a "Spa Day" the afternoon before the Sweet 16 Party. I asked Paula if she would be willing to come to my niece’s home to make-up the girls before the party & after their Spa Day.
Paula did not disappoint me. Everyone thought that the girls look so lovely with Paula's special make-up application that all of the woman going to the party decided to have their make up done as well. My niece was so pleased with the way she looked, she said Paula was wonderful & I rocked as an aunt!
High Praise from a teenager thanks to Paula Young...........

y hate it ON ME! But there i was deciding to be a bride, choosing to be the center of intention. Of course I'd want to look more polished for the greatest celebration of my life. I am a natural blonde with blue eyes & have found it challenging to conceive that my eyes & brows would be complimented tastefully rather than look too contrasted & sometimes rather silly. Also my skin tends to be reddish & I suffer from dry skin & acne. paula gained my trust rather quickly because I felt she understood my concerns. we had a trial & all doubt was removed. what a relief to trust that she intended to enhance my natural beauty rather than disguise my flaws. I felt so beautiful & comfortable as the bride on my wedding day. above & beyond my expectations...
thanks paula!!!
I do not normally wear much makeup beyond concealer and I was nervous about finding a makeup artist for my wedding in November. I want to look like myself, but better (of course)....
Paula put me at ease and did a great job. She mixed different shades of makeup to find colors that suited me. She also showed me how I would look in lighting for photographs, lighting for the ceremony, and then in candlelight. She was professional and warm. I am confident I found the right person for my wedding.
Follow up:
Paula was wonderful for my wedding. She did a fantastic job. Most importantly, my mother loved her and the makeup. I also loved my makeup. Paula is a real professional.

n myself and I had a layer of make up on my face that seemed unnatural and felt horrible. After one, my fiancé actually said,"if you look like that on our wedding day I'm not marrying you!" Enter Paula who promised I would not feel like that and that even though it was airbrush it would look and feel natural.
Well she was right! She was the ONLY make-up artist I could have used. She made it look natural yet elegant and made up for a special occasion. On top of that she is a wonderful warm spunky honest and fun woman. I loved meeting her. On my wedding day with all the nerves and excitement she was so supportive and funny and positive she helped to settle me down which was awesome. I highly recommend her to every bride.
Let me start by saying I've had two, not-so-great experiences when it comes to makeup. One time, I looked like a witch, and the other I looked too much like a doll. For that reason...
, I searched for makeup artists that specialized in natural looking bridal makeup. Paula was great! My mom and I went to her for our trial and she was amazing. I loved how she was able to tailor my makeup to accentuate my hair and eyes. She made me look beautiful, but not fake. It was exactly what I was looking for. My mom didn't even want to get her makeup done for the wedding but Paula wanted to show her how great she could look. She did a great job on my mom and my mom even bought a lot of products from her which she is now using, and loving! I can't wait to have her on my wedding day to make my mom, my bridal party, and I look beautiful.
Paula was great to work with and did a wonderful job keeping my look very natural as per my request. I was referred to her by two other brides who also loved her work

d such an amazing job on both myself and Andrea....her techniques are incredible, we both were "made up" but done so in such a natural way...she complimented our personalities and we were both so pleased with the outcome.....we highly recommend her to every bride out there!!! Thanks Paula, not only for helping us to look beautiful but also for your kind words and support that day!!
Paula did an awesome job on me and the maid if honor and mother of the bride. Her makeup choice was right on point and very natural. It showed up beautifully in the pictures.
