Natural Wedding Dance

Miki is an incredible teacher and human! We had an absolutely incredible experience using Natural Wedding Dance! I came in with zero dance experience, and my Fiancé hadn’t danced since she was a little girl, so we definitely had a lot to learn. We ended up taking six lessons, and I would highly recommend doing at least six if you have the time. It gave us enough time to actually learn, practice, and become comfortable rather than just memorize a few steps. Miki choreographed our entire first dance to a song we selected, which was actually new to her. She built the choreography around us and taught it bit by bit in a way that made something initially intimidating feel completely achievable. As we evolved, the dance evolved. There were definitely some learning curves along the way, and Miki was incredible at navigating not only the technical challenges, but also the emotions and occasional frustrations that can come with two people learning something completely new together. She was patient, encouraging, and knew when to slow things down, make an adjustment, or help us work through a section differently… or get rid of it entirely  What I especially appreciated was that she didn’t just teach us choreography. She took the time to explain the fundamentals of dancing—how to lead and follow, timing, positioning, movement, and the little details that made everything feel much more natural. The end result was honestly better than we could have hoped for. We didn’t just feel confident walking onto the dance floor on our wedding day—we put on a performance. It was beautiful, incredibly memorable, and something we were genuinely proud of. I cannot recommend Miki and Natural Wedding Dance enough. If you’re a couple with little or no dance experience and want your first dance to feel special, polished, and uniquely yours, go see Miki. And if your schedule allows it, give yourselves at least six lessons. It was absolutely worth it!

Miki was amazing to work with!! She was very patient and really took her time to see how my husband and I dance together and worked with us over a few sessions to help choreograph the perfect dance for us. She made us feel totally comfortable, and the end result was exactly what we wanted! She took our very vague descriptions of how we wanted the dance to feel and understood us so well, making changes when she saw some steps didn't feel like us. Our first dance was fun, romantic, and will always be a beautiful memory we cherish. Our friends and family all told us our dance was perfect and how we looked like we were having fun dancing. We've walked away from our dance lessons learning so much about dancing and being able to enjoy date nights out. She also helped me and my dad in a quick dance lesson a few days before the wedding so we could do a very simple father-daughter dance. My dad was very anxious and she made him feel comfortable and confident Going to Miki for our dance lessons was the best decision we made, so grateful we found her!!
