Worst company ever. DO NOT USE!
I have booked them Jan 2017, my wedding was in August. Paid them in full thousands of dollars.
Based on my contract they were supposed to deliver m...
y chairs, tables and other decoration around 9 am the morning of the wedding. They did not arrive until 6 pm, when my guests were arriving.
We called them numerous times during the day, but received no answer. When I finally got an answer around 5.30 pm, the receptionist hanged up on me stating that I should not raise my voice on her. (Because, you know, every bride would be calm when she has no chairs or tables for the guests half an hour before they are scheduled to arrive. And God forbid, she should apologize to the bride for such stress).
We were not able to use anything we rented for the ceremony as our guests were already in the room.
We have not received a refund for the item or even an apology from the company.
I had singed a contract with NECR, now Vim & Vigor Events, and they did not deliver all equipment or meet the time frame I had paid extra money for. When I contacted the company vi...
a phone and email they would not respond. I filed a complaint with the BBB and they did not respond to my claim. Basically, took my money and ran, did nothing to correct the issue or credit the items that were never delivered, and clearly do not care about their clients. STAY AWAY.
If I could give no stars I would; NECR was the worst decision we made. THEY ARE AWFUL! We began planning in ample time for an August 2017 wedding, visiting NECR in December to pick...
out what we wanted. We payed our deposit and everything seemed fine, we made the next payment and everything seemed fine still. We made our final payment and that's where things started to go south. They called weeks after our check cleared asking if we had payed and that we our event is coming up. When my wife responded that we have already paid in full they said they couldn't find the check and they needed to get back to us; they never did. We began looking at reviews and saw a lot of HORRENDOUS reviews; we tried to contact NECR to assuage our concerns but we had trouble getting a hold of our original planner so they gave us a new contact. We explained to them our concerns about their performance and stressed the importance of them showing up and they assured us they would. Later we got a call from our caterer, Blackstone (who was fantastic in every regard) saying that NECR never showed up at an event of theirs a week prior and we should make sure everything was in place. At this point we are nervous and upset and reached out again to NECR and told them what we had heard. And they LIED TO US, denying it happened, it wasn't until the owner of Blackstone called to intervene on our behalf that they admitted to missing the event and promised they would show up on our day. The owner of NECR assured everyone involved that they would arrive on time as planned. We felt a little optimism until our original planner from NECR called us a few days later asking if we had payed. We we explained everything to her she was rude to my wife telling her how incosiderate it was of us to go around her (she wasn't available!).
Fast forward to the wedding day they were supposed to be there at 11, they weren't. Then they said 2 and missed that, then 3 and missed that until it became 5PM for a 6PM wedding, still no items there. We had MOST of our furnishings from them and they were still not there. The caterer, the venue organizer for Glen Manor (again both amazing!!) are frantically calling them to no avail and calming down my wife.
My wife calls NECR to figure out what is going on and is understandably upset at this point and the idiot on the phone HANGS UP ON HER. They hung up on a Bride on her wedding day! It was extremely upsetting. At no point did anyone at NECR seem to care that they were ruining our wedding day! The receptionist couldn't even get a hold of a single employee at her own company. The incompetence and callousness on this company is beyond breathtaking. The delivery manager wouldn't take calls from his dispatcher even though he was apparently the guy on site having brought a single couch of our order around 3PM. At no point did he make ANY EFFORT to explain himself and why he has no idea how to do his own job or make sure we got our furnishings on time.
FINALLY the truck shows up at about 5:45 for a 6:00 wedding while our guests are arriving. If it wasn't for Blackstone helping unload the truck and set up for those morons there is no way we would have even got the venue staged in time. Blackstone and Glen Manor are the only reason this disaster of a company didn't ruin our wedding.
NECR is a bunch of incompetent, callous, selfish, rude, and inconsiderate jerks. DO NOT USE THEM. DO NOT TRUST THEM. EVER. NECR IS THE WORST.
Do not use NECR or their new company Vim + Vigor Rentals!! They may have competitive pricing and good sales but it is NOT worth the stress and upset on your wedding day! I used NE...
CR bc they were the only rental company in my area that had the linen color I was in love with and needless to say they called me the day before my wedding to tell me they didn't have them available!! They ordered me BUBBLE GUM PINK linens (promising me it was the same light blush color I ordered) and had them overnighted the night before my wedding, arriving at 7pm!! When I returned to our venue the night before my wedding and saw the linens I was a mess, the rep I was working with said "I'm sorry you are disappointed, there's nothing else I can do I am at my other job now". I have since tried calling and emailing to get in touch with the owner to get my money back for these linens and NO one will reply and voicemails are full! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
Can I give no stars? Please do not work with this vendor and save yourself and your family stress. This is the most unprofessional company. After trying to use them for my brida...
l shower that my parents hosted, we told our venue about them and they already had their own horror stories and said that they refused to work with them. BEWARE - a nightmare
We ended up renting benches for our wedding from NECR last minute when our primary rental company did not have enough. Benches were beautiful and delivery/set-up were easy. Prices ...
were quite high but the benches did look great!
Brides beware! NECR will not take responsibility for missing items during your event.
They created so much extra stress on our wedding day and for me weeks after. I wish I had ...
known.
Do they have cool looking rentals? Sure! But unless you want poor customer relations and a stressful setup with rude and lazy set up crew -- stay away. I've been an event planner...
of years and never have I come across a company who cares less about its clients.
We have had a terrible experience with this company. To start, they charged us in full prior to our event and over half of our order did not arrive for our wedding in May of 2016....
I've been trying to get a refund for the amount that we didn't receive and they will not speak with me on the phone and have yet to return my email. Secondly, they charged my credit card for over $2400 randomly in November 2016 and will not reply about this charge either. Customer service will not let me speak to a manager and it has been the most unpleasant experience dealing with this company. I would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere.
NECR was amazing!! I got a custom printed pillow with my coordinates and town name and I love it! I worked with their designers who helped my vision come true! Now I want to get ev...
eryone a similar custom pillow for Christmas!! I also rented the Swirl flatware for my friend's bridal shower and it was great, we got so many compliments on how gorgeous it is! We wish we had rented everything from NECR for her shower! I can't wait to get married so I can work with their team again!
We had quite a bit of difficulty the day of wedding this past June, as the furniture delivery did not arrive on time. In fact, the delivery arrived after our ceremony had ended whi...
le all of our guests filled the tented courtyard where the bar, decorations, desert platters, stand-up tables, and furniture set was supposed to be. We ended up accepting only part of the delivery because we had already contacted another rental company who was able to deliver tables on the same day to accommodate our needs. Our contract stated that delivery would be made between 10 - 1. At 1:30 our wedding planner, venue and caterer started calling NECR with no luck. They left multiple messages with no returned call. After over an hour they finally spoke with a woman who explained that the call was routed to her cell phone and that she was at the grocery store, after hearing the issues she told them “I don’t have time for this right now” and hung up the phone. Around 3pm, only 1 hour before the start of our ceremony, our caterer was finally able to speak with a representative at NECR. Your company informed us that the delivery had been made and was confirmed. After arguing with the representative on the phone trying to explain that the delivery had not arrived, our caterer gave up and called the local rental company that she knew. They were able to deliver tables on short notice to accommodate our needs. Since the day of the wedding we have not heard back from anyone at NECR outside of an automated e-mail and a sales manager that had nothing to do with our order. She recommended reaching out the CEO Kelley but we still have not heard back from them. We have left at least 15 voicemails and countless emails. Again, it is disappointing that over a month since the wedding has passed and no one has reached out to us to discuss and rectify the situation. We would have expected at least an apology, but have gotten nothing, because of that NECR is no longer welcome at the venue.
I am a sales rep / catering director for a NYC Catering Company. Working and communicating with NECR has been incredibly difficult and I would not recommend for anyone to use this ...
company. There have been issues with lack of payment due to us, for extended periods of time, and NECR's method of dealing with this issue is to ignore and avoid communication. We used their services for some large scale events twice in NYC. There were issues at both events but we gave them a 2nd chance as we thought their equipment would be ideal for the look of the 2nd event. The 2nd event required many custom products that were made for food service and these items showed up unfinished and unable to be used. In addition the pick up of the equipment was over 14 hours late causing much turmoil. I will not be using or recommending this company again.
We rented a 120' farm table for our head table, 2 Louis chairs for myself and my groom, and outdoor furniture (2 chairs, a couch, and a coffee table) for cocktail hour to be placed...
in the outdoor courtyard. This furniture was amazing! It really pulled together our whole look. It was really fun visiting the NECR warehouse and seeing all of their great products! If you are looking for any enhancements to your ceremony or reception, this is the place to go!
I agree the customer service is quite lacking. I was requesting assistance with seating and the representative either was clueless and non-creative or just didn't care to be of hel...
p. I will be looking for another vendor for our wedding.
First things first, NECR (and details from a couple other rental vendors) delivered the exact look I envisioned for my wedding day. Looking at the ceremony and reception space liv...
e and in pictures, I couldn't have asked for anything more. In the grand scheme of things, the effect was absolutely perfect. Now for the details....
We had an outdoor tented wedding and our tables and chairs were delivered and assembled 2 days before the actual wedding day which I thought was VERY nice of the company. Skip to the next day where a college aged kid shows up very early in the morning saying he had direction to take half of the tables because they were actually supposed to be in Boston. (That's a pretty huge scheduling mistake.) He didn't have the proper tools to disassemble the tables, so he ended up kicking the table legs off and dragging the tables to his truck because they were very heavy 60" farm tables and he was alone. The tables were brought back in the middle of the night (after the wedding planner had to call and complain) and we were woken up by random people in our yard with flash lights assembling the tables. When the time came to break down the tables after the wedding, there was more of the same improper treatment of the pieces. We basically had to contact the wedding planner because we didn't want to be charged any damage fees. We weren't charged, but it definitely wasn't a smooth process.
My Rep was very helpful in designing a table setting for my son's rehearsal dinner. I was misquoted the rate of the total order twice. I am glad that I checked the order as it was ...
not put in correctly. When I called to cut back the number of settings I needed I was told it was too late even though it was a holiday week so that they had not packed the dishes or charged me yet. I had to pay extra to insure that they arrived 5 hours before the party. The brass chargers were tarnished and could not be cleaned. The lanterns had wax on the sides from a past party and looked messy. I have to believe that they could have done better.
NECR was the best choice I could have made for the look I desired for my wedding. I had an outdoor garden/barn wedding and wanted a vintage/shabby chic look and NECR was the only ...
vendor to offer everything I was looking for in one place. The farm tables were perfect and the furniture, including couches and chairs, were simply stunning. Everything was delivered and picked up at the promised time and the customer service was great. I would definitely recommend them to anyone considering going a little over budget- it will be worth it!
NECR has beautiful choices for wedding rentals. They have agreed order more of the beautiful copper mugs I'm using for the signature drink, we are so excited for this rental to ar...

g. We contracted for the rentals in October and I had to insist that the rentals be delivered the day before the event (they wanted to bring them the morning of the wedding, which was 3 hours from the warehouse). They finally agreed but charged a large fee for the extra day. When the rentals arrived it was found they had forgotten WINE GLASSES—thankfully my event planner was able to source them locally again at additional cost to me. The delivery man was unable to get any response from NECR that day. When the tables were set on the wedding day it was found that the order did not include DINNER FORKS—my guests ate dinner with salad forks. I have been trying to get reimbursement from NECR since June for my additional costs but have yet to be satisfied. They did replace a furniture dolly of mine that their delivery people took in error. I have been in touch with many people at the company, including the owner who has never answered my calls or emails, and only one person, Allison, has been helpful. Unfortunately for the customer Allison no longer works in sales. This company has a great product not found elsewhere, but they are very unresponsive to the customer adding additional stress during the event planning process and evidently do not care to satisfy complaints after the event.
NECR broke our contract without warning or explanation when they delivered our rental 7 hours late and to the wrong address, in addition the order was not correct when it finally a...
rrive. Once we realized our furniture had not come and we could not get in touch with anyone at NECR for hours, my family had to frantically search for a back up rental company and we were forced to cancel our rehearsal dinner. This caused enormous stress on me and my family, as well as causing us to miss out on valuable time and events we had spent a year planning. It cost us the wages of our hired decorators, as they had shown up to work without any furniture to put the decorations on, and required that myself and multiple friends and family cancel our morning appointments and photography sessions in order to set-up. I have been unable to get a response from NECR and have emailed the owner directly multiple times. We have yet to receive any explanation, apology, or compensation for the inconvenience and emotional stress caused by their mistake.
24 days before my wedding, my wedding planner emailed me saying that NECR had overbooked all of the chairs and tables that I had reserved about 6 months in advance. we had a specif...
ic look that we were going for- we were going to go with a different rental company while we were in crisis mode, but they upgraded our chairs and promised us a certain "custom table". turns out the tables were just planks of wood that they put on mismatching iron bases that i did NOT approve. they also messed up on the vintage sofa i had rented, and delivered a completely different color and look at 4:30pm on the day of my wedding, which is the time my ceremony started. they also did not deliver a coffee table that was part of our outdoor lounge. i reached out to them after i got back from my honeymoon for an apology but did not get a direct one. they reimbursed us for the sofa and the coffee table, but no direct apology or any sort of explanation. i had high hopes for this company but they really put a lot of unnecessary stress on me as a bride on the day of my wedding, and also disappointed me with the overall look that i wanted for the wedding. every time i look at my wedding photos i feel upset again. go with this company only if they can give you some kind of guarantee. getting notice 3 weeks before my wedding that my tables and chairs were unavailable was really bad business. sorry for the harsh review but it was very upsetting.
What they offer, no other rental company in Boston or the surround area can offer! Their pieces are so unique and such high quality. Nothing looks or feels cheap, but instead is el...
egant and at the same time can be down-to-earth. But beyond their amazing offerings, their service is exquisite and their staff is well-trained and professional. I highly recommend NECR for any wedding or event. I used NECR for my own wedding this past May, but as a florist and designer I'm always recommending them for the weddings I do flowers for.
After dealing with many vendors for my daughter's wedding, it was a pleasure to work with NECR. They are professional, reliable and patient. They respond promptly, offer valuable ...
advice and, when working with them, I could rest assured that all requests would be done correctly and accurately. Kassie, whom I mostly dealt with, made my work easy and enjoyable. She is a valuable member of their team. Even as her own wedding approached and all the stress which accompanies that, she never was anything but PERFECT in her dealings with customers.
they were great! lots of misc things you can rent. Ran into a little issue with delivery, or else they would be 5 stars
New England Country Rentals absolutely "made" our wedding! We used their church pews and benches for our ceremony site and farm tables, chalk boards, and lounge furniture for our r...
eception. The decor made our wedding unique and brought our style to the event. Kelly and her team were an absolute pleasure to work with. They were kind, patient, and accommodating of changes that we had to make throughout the process. If you get a chance, I would highly recommend visiting their store and meeting Kelly in person- it was wonderful and so inspiring! Many of our guests had been to our ceremony/reception site for previous weddings, but raved about how the decor from NECR made the site completely "new" and special. We would recommend NECR without hesitation.
NECR had, far and away, the prettiest and most interesting range of tables for rent for our wedding, and they were a joy to work with.
We have worked with New England Country Rentals for several events this past summer. Their products are amazing and their service is excellent. From working with them over the phon...

There is no way I would have gone with another furniture rental company. New England Country Rentals matched our Fall/Country theme perfectly. Kelly was extremely helpful and acc...
ommodating even though I had to make several changes to my account leading up to our big day. She was also always willing to answer my many questions and was always timely in her responses. We were able to visit the showroom and see the tables and chairs in person, which was great.
The delivery men worked quickly and efficiently, they were awesome. They were punctual, took care of all the set up and break down and were even willing to help put the items into place according to our floor plan.
I love the creative items NECR has and they keep adding new items to their inventory which you won’t be able to find anywhere else.
Their tables, and furniture transformed the look and feel of the ballroom, I was very pleased with all of the items rented (farm tables, bars, benches etc).
NECR made our event. We had a rustic, green event and the handmade wooden tables really brought everything together. The service and staff were amazing and a pleasure to work wit...

e look compared to all the weddings we've been to with the usual layers and layers of tablecloths. Our guests were wowed, and this was the only vendor in the Northeast that I could find with a nice dark wood finish on their tables.
Even better, NECR was one of the best vendors I worked with. Kelly was super responsive over email and phone throughout the entire process, and their prices were unbeatable. My wedding was in Westchester County, NY and it was actually cheaper to rent the tables from them and have them delivered from Boston than it was to use a local service. Since they were coming from so far, NECR asked if they could deliver a day earlier than usual just to be sure there was no possibility of arriving late (due to traffic, weather, etc.), and sure enough, they arrived and setup the tables on-time. We were so happy with their service and the quality of the tables - we would gladly recommend NECR to everyone we know!

ables that were made from the inside of wine barrels. It was the perfect addition to our event. They delivered everything on time and placed the heavy barrels exactly where we wanted them!! They were very helpful and we will definitely be using them in the future for other events. They helped make our event that much more special and we got rave reviews from the guests who attended the event.

dn't find farm tables to rent anywhere. Finally, I found NECR. We were so pleased with the different options for wooden farm tables, chairs, dishes, silverware, etc. We were able to rent almost every item that we needed from them. In the months prior to our wedding, I probably changed our order items/numbers about fifteen times, and yet the staff were always friendly and understanding. They were also flexible about drop off/pick up times, and made set up SO EASY for us since they delivered and set up all of the tables. We were also pleased to see the high quality of all of the items. Our barn really did look like a restaurant for the night.
I would certainly recommend using New England Country Rentals for your wedding or event!
I cannot say enough good things about the quality of the service I received from New England Country Rentals. From the very beginning every effort was made to find me just the righ...
t rental pieces. I went back and forth many, many, many times on my rental list. I must have been such a pest. However, Kelly greeted my ever request with professionalism, courtesy and the utmost patience. I was so appreciative.
Just as they were packing up my rented hurricane lanterns, one broke. Not only did they replace it for me in plenty of time for my wedding, they also included an extra lantern free of charge.
NECR is truly the best in the business and it's evident that they really care passionately about what they do. Highly recommended!
The people at New England Country Rentals are easy to work with, prompt and have great looking stuff. We rented beautiful farm tables and benches from them. Great for a large grou...

About mid-way through the planning process my mom & I stumbled upon NE Country Rentals website. We made the trek from Boston to Scituate one weekday night and the rest was history. What started as a search for a farm table turned into the elimination of certain linens and the addition of walnut & whitewash farm tables, a handmade chuppah, high top tables, wine barrels to be used as tables, benches, even mason jars for one of our signature drinks. Kelly and NE Country Rentals literally transformed our wedding from pretty to OMG show-stopper status. My vision took on a whole new meaning.
The whitewash tables we used to fulfill my vision of a long head table for the wedding party became the focal point of the reception decor. If I could purchase these tables I would (Kelly do you sell??)
The NE Country Rentals team was a joy to work with leading up to, and during, the wedding weekend. They arrived early to set up and the furniture was pristine. Not to mention their rental fees are extremely reasonable and WELL worth it. In fact once we realized we needed 1 additional table and 2 benches for the head table, Kelly offered them free of charge to make sure no one would be uncomfortable. That's just the kind of customer service they offer.
I highly recommend them and am looking for an event, any event, that I can rent from them again! And hopefully I've sent some new customers their way because many guests have asked for their info!
I was so glad to find New England Country Rentals, especially after a very disappointing and long search for seating for our ceremony. The unsightly and boring chairs from other co...
mpanies were no match for the beautiful handmade farm benches that were offered by NECR. I got in contact with Kelly, who handled everything with such professionalism, and went above and beyond to make sure that they were delivered before guests arrived (delivery men were very helpful and personable as well) and that we wouldn't have to wait for them to get picked up before we left for the reception. The benches were easily one of the most popular details of our big day. Afterward, Kelly and the team sent us a handwritten card thanking us for our business and congratulating us on our wedding. Good service does not even begin to describe this company, not to mention the quality of their items for rent.
Working with NECR was like a dream. I never felt pressured to rent items that I did not need and their guidance was invaluable. I did not think that the experience could be any bet...
ter until the rentals arrived and I was speechless... I have rented from many companies in the past and understand the "quality" of rental items. I expected the normal chips, dings and stains that come with renting furniture, but NECR's product was spotless!! Everything looked brand new, clean and ready for my big day. The staff was organized friendly and spent so hours setting up and arranging the items. The staff spent the time to assemble and arrange all of my tables, chairs, barrels and 4 bars. I was expecting a curbside drop-off so recruited a slew of relatives to help us out, but they were not needed at all - NECR's staff arrived and assembled everything on site.
Words cannot describe the beauty of the products and the quality of the service that we received with NECR - we cannot wait to use them for a future event!
We got married in Cape Cod on a farm and needed to bring in everything. I was looking for things that were very specific and I found them at New England Country Rentals. I wanted t...
he wedding to be rustic but still elegant. We rented chairs (that are cheaper than anyone else) and a bunch of other things you will Only find at NECR. We rented these amazing wine barrels we used as cocktail tables, a fantastic wine barrel table we used as a bar, beautiful wooden benches with cushions, and burlap table runners. They were also very easy to work with and very friendly. I HIGHLY recommend NECR! You wont be disappointed- I promise!
My daughter found NECR tables on line and my husband and I drove up from Connecticut to see them. We fell in love and knew immediately that they would be wonderful for her July ou...
tdoor/tent wedding. We also ordered chairs from NECR that complimented the tables perfectly. Even thought they had to transport the tables and chairs quite a distance, they ended up being cheaper than any we could find closer to home. They arrived when they said they would and assembled the tables. Pick-up was equally on time and well done.
In short, not only are their tables and chairs lovely, they are a lovely couple and a dream to do business with.
We looked at many farm tables for our August wedding. NECR's were, without doubt, the most beautiful. Even including the shipping from MA to NY the prices were better than the hi...
gh end NYC rental companies and the tables had a much cleaner line and were created from authentic antique wood with a better finish. The service was excellent -- this husband wife team was a dream to work with!
Our story is a little different then most, I think. Our venue provided most of the "rentals" for us, but about 2 weeks before the wedding, I began a frantic search for Rattan Charg...
ers. I knew they would add such an earthy element to our table settings. After being turned down by a couple of companies because we did not meet their "minimum" rental amount, I widened my search to out of state rental companies, which is when I contacted New England Country Rentals. Kelly emailed me back almost immediately, and without hesitation informed me that they could provide the chargers for my wedding day. She worked closely with me to make sure I got exactly what I wanted, and had them shipped several days before the wedding. Unfortunately, 3 of the chargers were somehow lost in the process of wedding cleanup. New England Country Rentals could have very easily charged me for the loss, but instead, they congratulated me on my marriage, thanked me for my business, and said not to worry about the fee this time. They went above and beyond to make me feel special.
The process couldn't have been easier, and Kelly and I sparked up a little friendship in the process. I owe her some wedding photos as soon as I get them!
