We scheduled my trial for the week of the wedding, and I’ll admit I was a little nervous that it might be cutting it too close, but it ended up working out so well. From the moment I sat in her chair, Nina was professional and an absolute joy to work with, we started chatting as if we had known each other already! Her talent and experience are truly impressive, but what stood out most was her dedication to always improving and learning new techniques, even though she’s already exceptional at what she does. That commitment shows in her work because she is both incredibly skilled and efficient. I loved the hairstyle she created during the trial, and while the makeup was slightly more natural than I had envisioned, I wore it out for the day, took some photos, and messaged her that evening with a few adjustments I had in mind. She listened so thoughtfully, gave her own feedback, and we both agreed on the changes. On the big day, Nina absolutely nailed it and my look was exactly what I wanted!! Not only that, but her team worked their magic on me and all of my bridesmaids in what felt like record time. Everyone was so impressed and loved their looks. My hair and makeup lasted flawlessly through a bit of drizzle, hours of dancing, and an entire day of celebrating. Everything stayed perfectly in place and the last picture I took at the end of night looked no different than when she first finished my look! I can’t recommend Nina enough to anyone searching for a talented, professional, and genuinely wonderful hair and makeup artist. She made me feel so beautiful and confident on one of the most important days of my life, and I’m forever grateful to have found her!!

I came to her with a vague idea of my hair, and she guided me through different hairstyles, adjusting if I told her I want to see it another way and, when I asked for a subtle look for my makeup, I was wow-ed how beautiful I felt. I even sent her a reaction video of my husband seeing me come home with it :) I think what makes Neena so special is that while her work is amazing, I was really comforted by her how friendly and fun she was to work with. On the day of the wedding, I even for got to pack my veil! I remember feeling panicked but being in that room with Neena, I was laughing, smiling and feeling calm. I got my veil back in time and I looked and felt my most beautiful that day. She is punctual, passionate and comforting to be around. I highly recommend her!

I initially assumed I'd need hair extensions to have enough hair to work with, but she told me instead exactly how to have my hair cut to give it more volume, plus she had some little bun-holder things to help give volume. She also referred me to someone for a haircut that would work and it was the best haircut I've had in years - I am definitely going back. Not only all of those things, but Nina was so fun to hang out with. I was initially so nervous about getting my makeup done and being awkward, but Nina instantly put me at ease. It felt like talking to an old friend who is genuinely personally excited for you - which is exactly the energy you want on your wedding day. 5 stars isn't enough, but it's all The Knot will let me do.
