I reached out to her last December and scheduled my trial for February 7th (I also just went with my gut that she would work out and reserved my wedding date as well, which I was right about!) However, right before my trial Nina would play a pivotal role in one of my best friend’s wedding during an incredibly difficult time in our lives. My friend’s mom had been fighting cancer since summer of 2025 and on February 2nd they were given the terrible news that she only had weeks to live. My friend who was planning a May wedding was suddenly planning her wedding within two weeks so her mom could be there.
I reached out to Nina the next day before she even had even met me in person to see if she could do both a trial and my friend’s hair and make up on February 14th. Nina was luckily available and that weekend she did a trial for my friend. My friends told me she was so kind and created such good vibes for them. She later contributed to what was a very beautiful wedding day celebrating my friend’s love and one of her final moments with her mom. Her hair and makeup looked STUNNING and lasted into the night! (The wedding went until 11pm and clean up into the early mornings and her hair and makeup did not budge!)
She did my trial on the 7th in between all of this and I had such a good time chatting and experimenting with the hair and make up (which turned out great!) and months later on my wedding day in June she did a beautiful job, I felt amazing and my makeup and hairdo stayed on all night!! I should mention that we did a polish wedding (as much as we can in the Seattle area) so everything lasted until 4am when I was back at my hotel room taking everything off! She also was very knowledgable about the products she applied and gave me tips for skin prep before my wedding which I successfully did. She also did an amazing job on my MOH!
Best way I can describe Nina’s vibe when doing hair and makeup is kinda like a girl’s sleepover! Just fun to chat with and very uplifting. And considering the heavy stuff that happened in the past year Nina’s energy was just so good to be around! Would highly recommend!

We scheduled my trial for the week of the wedding, and I’ll admit I was a little nervous that it might be cutting it too close, but it ended up working out so well. From the moment I sat in her chair, Nina was professional and an absolute joy to work with, we started chatting as if we had known each other already! Her talent and experience are truly impressive, but what stood out most was her dedication to always improving and learning new techniques, even though she’s already exceptional at what she does. That commitment shows in her work because she is both incredibly skilled and efficient.
I loved the hairstyle she created during the trial, and while the makeup was slightly more natural than I had envisioned, I wore it out for the day, took some photos, and messaged her that evening with a few adjustments I had in mind. She listened so thoughtfully, gave her own feedback, and we both agreed on the changes.
On the big day, Nina absolutely nailed it and my look was exactly what I wanted!! Not only that, but her team worked their magic on me and all of my bridesmaids in what felt like record time. Everyone was so impressed and loved their looks. My hair and makeup lasted flawlessly through a bit of drizzle, hours of dancing, and an entire day of celebrating. Everything stayed perfectly in place and the last picture I took at the end of night looked no different than when she first finished my look!
I can’t recommend Nina enough to anyone searching for a talented, professional, and genuinely wonderful hair and makeup artist. She made me feel so beautiful and confident on one of the most important days of my life, and I’m forever grateful to have found her!!

I came to her with a vague idea of my hair, and she guided me through different hairstyles, adjusting if I told her I want to see it another way and, when I asked for a subtle look for my makeup, I was wow-ed how beautiful I felt. I even sent her a reaction video of my husband seeing me come home with it :) I think what makes Neena so special is that while her work is amazing, I was really comforted by her how friendly and fun she was to work with. I initially assumed I'd need hair extensions to have enough hair to work with, but she told me instead exactly how to have my hair cut to give it more volume, plus she had some little bun-holder things to help give volume. She also referred me to someone for a haircut that would work and it was the best haircut I've had in years - I am definitely going back.
Not only all of those things, but Nina was so fun to hang out with. I was initially so nervous about getting my makeup done and being awkward, but Nina instantly put me at ease. It felt like talking to an old friend who is genuinely personally excited for you - which is exactly the energy you want on your wedding day.
5 stars isn't enough, but it's all The Knot will let me do.
