Neil and his wife Lisa were an incredible photography team, and they were perfect for our event! We loved getting to work with them both. We hired Neil for our 180-person wedding at Whalehead Club in Corolla, NC in May 2024. They were wonderful to work with in the lead up, really flexible with timelines for calls while we were on the west coast, and amenable to what was important to us and our wants and needs that we filled out in their questionnaire. We had a very helpful planning call before our wedding and walked through every detail and the full day of schedule and I felt so good going into the big day. Neil made my bridesmaids and me feel so comfortable throughout getting ready and the first look and bridal party photos, and Lisa was great for my husband and his groomsmen to work with. We also danced THE ENTIRE reception, and Neil and Lisa were amazing - fully integrated into the dance party and getting incredible live action shots that we cannot wait to see. Lisa even changed my shoes for me when I couldn't stand to be wearing my ceremony heels any longer. That's definitely not part of her job description, and it did not go unnoticed. Neil made such an effort to get great sunset photos of us even though the weather wasn't 100%. We cannot wait to see the final product and our photo albums!!! Highly recommend if you're looking for a wedding, event, or family gathering photographer on OBX.

We could not have asked for a more amazing photographer! Neil and Lisa did such a great job capturing the scenery and the mood of the whole day. The photos are stunning and seem more like artwork. We also had such a great experience working with them to rearrange the wedding date due to COVID-19. They were beyond accommodating and even made a special trip to my grandmothers nursing home so we could get a photo with her. I could not recommend them enough.

Working with Neil and Lisa was a wedding dream come true. From the beginning stages, they made the process as effortless as possible. Throughout the months leading up to our wedding, they were efficient and on the ball with necessary comms and planning. When we met them in person, we loved their vibe and their ability to really hear us out. When it came time for the big day, they were an absolute joy to work with. They had the perfect blend of being professional and lighthearted. We had so much fun shooting with them and felt right at home. Our photos were delivered in a timely fashion and we are in love with every single one. We highly recommend working with them and couldn't have imagined a more perfect photographer team to capture our special day.

Neil and Lisa were/are amazing! My wife and I are from Boston and pretty much picked the Outer Banks on a whim. Best decision we have ever made. Going with Neil GT Photography was a close second. Neil GT captured every special moment and missed absolutely nothing. As a bride and groom, you miss a lot of what is happening/happened at your wedding because you are being pulled here there and everywhere. Yet Neil GT was able to show my wife and me what we missed through the most elegant, tasteful, gorgeous photos I have ever seen (I might have a slight bias). Neil GT was able to tell the story of our wedding through perfectly timed ceremony or reception photos down to the smallest of details like a pin on a label. They missed nothing. When Neil says they will be there for the whole day, that is exactly what they mean. They arrived early and might have been the last people to leave the reception. Truly amazing service and people. My wife Michelle and I cannot recommend Neil GT enough!

I worked with Neil and his wife, Lisa, for a wedding at the Kitty Hawk Pier House on 7-17-17. From the second I hired them to the wedding day, they were consistently prompt to respond, informative, flexible, patient, kind, "on it"...EVERYTHING you want your wedding vendors to be and so much more. This particular bride is very dear to me. I was both the wedding planner and her bridesmaid. Because I was juggling two jobs, Neil and Lisa worked with my fiancé Luke and I throughout the night to ensure things were always running smoothly and on time. They were extremely personable with the bride and groom, and all family and those involved felt completely at ease being photographed by them-even those whom normally shy away from photos felt at ease. Neil and Lisa hold a strong skill-set, but even more importantly, such a calming and warm energy-which is super needed on any wedding day! They were sure to capture sweet genuine poses rather than snapping all "cookie-cutter" perfectly lined photos-they made the moments all look special and natural! I cannot wait to see the moments they captured of the day. I am 100% confident they will not disappoint! OBX Brides, grooms, event planners...your A (+++!) Team photography team is here! Neil and Lisa are amazing people. From beginning to end, Neil and Lisa were extremely professional and made us feel completely at ease through the whole process. They answered all of our questions promptly, and were able to meet with us on a few different occasions before the wedding to smooth out any details or concerns we had. The day of the wedding, Neil and Lisa were in constant contact, so neither one of us had to worry about running into each other before our first look. They were also able to take control during family portraits and blend in during other key moments. Neil's photos have a depth that most photographers can't capture, let alone wedding photographers. So, if you are looking for a photographer that will capture the essence of your special day, you cannot go wrong with Neil GT.

I haven't received my proofs yet- so everything on this is regarding our experience with Neil and photog. parter/wife Lisa before and during our wedding. Coming from out of town, Neil arranged a quick in-person meeting with us 2 days before our ceremony. It was worth a drive to their office/gallery in downtown Manteo and it left us at ease knowing we were able to discuss the flow of the day and the kind of things we wanted to focus on in terms of photography. Aside from being a cool and laid back couple, Neil and Lisa demonstrated the utmost professionalism on our wedding day from start to finish. They got creative with a less than perfect weather situation, obliged a few family portraits and took HUNDREDS of shots without us ever realizing they were even there. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants crisp, modern and moving work (based on shots I've seen of other weddings.)
